If you unlist k zoom, then xshot should be the best. It has ois, biggest appeture, the only phone that have dedicated camera button.
If you still consider k zoom, then k zoom has advantage in zoom factor. Buy xshot still the best in front facing camera for selfie, even for wefie. And xsot also still has biggerappeture than k zoom. And not to mention xshot has very slim body

Recently picked up the XShot (2GB Elite version) because I wanted a better camera for pictures of my children. I'm coming from an iPhone 5s and also have a OnePlus One and Note 4 (daily driver) so these are my comparison devices.
OPO camera is decent but not great. It's better in ColorOS but I still struggled with blurry shots and noise. I used to miss shots because it's 5.5 inches and really needs two hands to operate. Plus it's a bit slow to focus and shoot. Great price for spec, though.
I loved the 5s. Quick to snap a shot and because it was small, I'd generally miss fewer shots. I underestimated this aspect too much. Problem is the phone is small for other tasks (trading, movies, etc.) and the battery want great.
Next is the Note 4. Good camera with OIS but a bit slow to open and shoot. That and it being 5.7 inches means it's quite cumbersome to take out of the pocket quickly and, although shots were decent, I'd miss too many opportunities from fumbling around. The rest of the phone (media, browsing) is mostly excellent, though.
So in steps the XShot - my 'compromise' device. Which actually isn't much of a compromise I've found.
First the non-camera aspects: still as smooth in day-to-day tasks as the Note and OPO despite being about 10 to 15% lower in synthetic benchmarks. I guess I don't need the extra grunt for my usage. If you do, there's an 'Ultimate' 3GB / 32gb model with 801AC (slightly faster) to get OPO 47k Antutu scores. In my experience, unless you 3D game, the Elite model is more than enough. Software wise, is running 4.4.2 with a heavily customised ROM (Funtouch 2). Lollipop might be a while away yet but, the camera is my primary concern. Those wanting Lollipop should look elsewhere.
Screen size of 5.2 inches and ergonomics are excellent. I can comfortably one-hand this way easier than the OPO and Note but it's still large enough to be fine for media and reading. The curved back and smaller screen combination work really well. It tapers to very slim edges so feels much thinner than it might appear in pictures or on the spec sheet. Build quality is solid - not cheap feeling at all. Great audio is a bonus. I think 5.2 is as big as I'd go in future as it has the best all-round feel.
And then there's the camera. This is a big step up for so many situations. Dedicated 2-step sheet button. Way better aperture so it focuses and snaps instantly so I miss fewer shots and far more are in focus. Part of this is the size: I can grab it from my pocket quicker and, with the dedicated button, already have the camera app open by the time I've raised it to shoot (holding down the dedicated button opens the camera from a locked state). Plenty of options for advanced shooters, too.
So, despite thinking it a 'compromise' choice, I've found it anything but. Yes, it's 9 months old now and may be superseded in 3-4 months, but Vivo may just make the screen unnecessarily larger or change something else. Hopefully they'll keep similar dimensions and just make things even better.

I don't feel as though I'm being asked to make unacceptable compromises for a very competitively-priced phone that has a positively screaming performance. I came into this relationship with eyes wide open (and I don't need a DSLR-quality phone camera, either). So far, I couldn't be happier with the OnePlus 5.

Got frustrated with the Nexus 6p after a year and 10 months, so I decided to buy a one plus 5. Battery life is exceptional and overall performance makes using the phone a joy. R.I.P. Nexus 6P. Really liking the device so far.
Liking my OP5 so much. I can squeeze the battery to the maximum and get many screen time hours. The camera takes really good pics (not like an S8 tough, but pretty decent) and everyone can forget about the lag. As I said, really happy!
Too soon to say, but it could end up being the best phone I've owned so far. 2 major things holding me back from that decision are the inconsistent battery life and camera performance.
I can def say i've grown to like the device. The camera bugged me out at first but its getting better. Coming from a S8+, I missed the speed of stock android. touchwiz is beyond laggy. The only thing i can say that bugs me is the phone not being waterproof. And i wouldve preferred not having a physically home button.
Ok so I've received my phone week ago after using it i have to admit that the phone is literally a beast! If you are looking for a phone for "The fastest" this is one you want in your hand.
I am lucky that my op5 is not affected by the "jelly effect". The things i loved
*Speaker ( almost like stereo.., actually i am a music person i listen to music most of the time i don't really like ear/head phones)
*Speed (as i said the beast in performance. I have used galaxy s8 but don't really like the TouchWiz! Tbh TouchWiz itself feels laggy!)
*Display ( i don't really care for qhd or anything so for me fhd is good for me i don't use vr.. if you are a frequent user of vr you may not like the display)
*Camera ( ok i have to admit not the best camera phone in the market but at the sametime not the worst. I don't really like the low light pictures until now thanks to gcamera hdr+ so now i am very happy in the camera department.)
*Battery ( i am getting 6.5hr+ sot. I am a music lover told you, my 4g volte + data always turned on , i use Bluetooth to connect and listen music, 3 hrs average Calling! Standby time is very good so i am very much satisfied)
Things i hate
I dont like the microphone for the Calls it captures more background sound not like the op3! Op3 was good!
Vibration motor! Still not that much improvement! Love the iPhone vibration though!
Not water proof!
Love the phone. Solid 4.5/5.
Prior to this, I utilized a Samsung Note 3 and the performance is night and day.
This is literally the fastest phone I've used, it runs smoother than my friends S8. The battery life is amazing as well. I'd give the phone a 5/5 if it were waterproof and if it had OIS. The waterproofing isn't necessary but I live in an area where it rains quite frequently, so it would have been nice. The camera is great in regular light and the video recording is good (other than the fact that is clips the edges of the videos in order to electronically stabilize it).
I'd love for it to be priced comparably to the OP3 but it is still a good phone nonetheless and hundreds of dollars cheaper than the competition.
I'm in love with this phone, i come from an S7 edge, the interface is so much cleaner, no duplicate app, no lag, this phone is slightly larger and harder tu use in a hand but i prefer the OP5 material, the glass is too slippery and become oily. The camera of the s7 edge was a little bit better in low light, but in daylight the photo looks the same and the zoom is pretty fun to use.
I have the soft gold version and it's really gorgeous
voted 4, simply because OIS is missing, coming from the HTC 10 it's a major change and not in a positive way, the camera isn't awful by any means but OIS should have been mandatory, it's crazy that it wasn't especially seeing as they had made such noise about it.
Other than that, the phone is a monster, primarily due to the snapdragon 835, it can play pretty much any game / emulator, even ones previously unplayable, ie: PPSSPP and Gamecube games on dolphin.
Would also have been nice to see waterproofing (even though it's already been tested to have some form of protection)
overall i'm happy, it's just OIS not being there. Shame.

The one plus is the better camera, by some way. Don't get me wrong the 6P was a great phone, first and only Huawei I've ever had, my sister is still using it.
As ois is absent from both devices you're simply comparing the actual lenses and in this regard the one plus 5 smokes most phones. It's really just ois that makes the difference , stability on EIS which the one plus does have just doesn't match up to ois.
But unless you're recording a video or trying to get a perfect image whilst zooming you can live without it.
Even the iPhone 7 is without ois.

No worries mate. The one plus is a beast man, it surprised me and I'm quite a critic.
It was the best "shut up and take my money" I have ever faced. The feeling off the touch is good, materials are premium, extremely fast OS and touch reaction etc..
Ofc, I felt in love with the dash charge! Ok, is not as fast as oneplus claims to be .. but is really fast!
Ah! I was about to forget .. do not let your GF take a selfie using the front camera! She will have your phone occupied for the rest of its life!

Had an Xiaomi Mi 5, absolutely fantastic in every way. But the screen was too small for me. Then changed to the Mi s plus, that's a perfect one! But I sold it and bought the op5, the only issue is the portrait mode, the Mi 5s plus was better. Despite that, it's really the best smartphone for now.

Honestly, the colour Aurora violet impressed me a lot. S9 looks a little bit boring (S9 still looks much better than iPhone 8) compared with Honor 10. Exclude the ID design, the specification of Honor 10 still not worse than S9.
It is no doubt the absolute performance of Kirin 970 is slightly weaker than Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810, but the high performance of 845 can do nothing exclude game! (Well, I’m not a gaming addict) In contrast, the NPU innovated in 970 is awesome, especially utilised for scene recognition and semantic image segmentation mode in camera. To illustrate this two AI technology, I quote the official explanation from Honor below:

I’m sure there will be more AI utilizations in the future based on NPU. Currentlutilizationisation of new technology on the phone is much more rational than pursuing absolute performance blindly.
In the unlock aspects, S9 has iris recognition, facial recognition and fingerprint on the back. But I prefer the ultrasonic fingerprint on Honor 10 since it not only located on the front but also work with a wet finger. By the way, the facial recognition also present on Honor 10 lol…
And the battery of Honor 10 is 3400mAh which is more than 3000mAh in S9. I think Samsung is too conservative on both battery capacity and fast charge after the issue of Note 7, the small battery and outdated 18V fast-charging technology make S9 less attractive. Moreover, the SuperCharge of Honor provides 5V 4.5A = 22.5W keeps phone cool when charging compared with the high voltage 18W QC2.0 (9V 2A). The cool SuperCharge makes me feel more reliable than hot QC2.0, cause I always worry that my Galaxy S7 ‘Boom’ when I charging, it’s really hot!!!
Honor 10 has launched in China last week, ¥2599 (€340) for 64GB; ¥2999 (€391) for 128GB which is much cheaper than Galaxy S9 (nearly €1,000).

Ah, but that makes the images 'professional' apparently. I think I'll stick to a proper, straight set of images that I can post process, should I so choose, with photoshop...
If honor 10 will launch in India with base variant at 35k then there is no competition with oneplus 6. Everyone go for the oneplus 6 at 37k. Also honor has unspecified version of gorilla glass protection. But oneplus 6 has gorilla glass 5. Last time honor launched it's honor v10 that has some of the better specs with it's bigger battery and price at just 30k of 128gb variant and also the display quality.

I guess those PS effect automation is the so-called "intelligence" of current camera-hype. I just don't like the overexposed and airburshed fake faces - some might like it though.
Colleage of mine who has s8+ said to me the same thing. He owned Piexl 1 before and would go back to Pixel 3 (when out) solely for the camera department.
Apart from camera the fingerprint recognition of Honor 10 is hardly usable with dry hands - face unlock is fatastic though.

You can, only partially. It has apeture, portrait and photo mode. In portrait mode you can set beauty level and photo mode has AI switch. I have set beauty level 0 and AI off - improving to some extent - but to me the photos are still overexposed and unnatual.
Selfie camera is more obvious even with beauty level 0.
BTW the phone was bought from China in a trip and I live in NZ so returning is a real challenge. I decided to keep it despite of the annoyances. I like the size and the looks of the body, dual sim functionality, and able to customise the UI to my liking...

I'm pretty impressed, for the price. The specs were above & beyond anything else at this price point that I could find, & so far since I bought it, it hasn't skipped a beat. I'll definitely be considering another Oppo next time I'm in the market for a phone, whether it be for my partner, or myself when it comes time to upgrade.
Very impressed with the hardware so far, everything is very snappy and quick, it also comes with very good audio and optical equipment, a lot of potential that unfortunately cannot be used to its fullest because of OPPO's crackdown on 3rd party development for there phones, all fastboot binaries are competently absent and the bootloader is fully locked meaning custom recoveries and custom operating systems are not possible as of 2020 January.

Nice premium design. Like that the rear cameras do not protrude on the back. Great screen. Better than the typical midrange amoled screen. It is snappy but not as fast and fluid as flagships from Xiaomi or OnePlus. The rear camera is good but not great. The speaker is very loud. All in all, nice phone.

Ok got me the oneplus 8 pro on (H3G) UK and well that was a big let down in the camera department and battery life not to mention display issues , anyway within my 14 days I can exchange to pretty much any phone they have so camera is pretty important so I toy'd with idea of p40 pro but without Google was a bit off putting so I decided on the S20 Ultra and well let's say I'm not blown away with the camera on that,
has just been updated and is kinda beta especially auto focus was main issue at the time , so my question is should I while I'm still in my 14 days retun S20 ultra for the P40 pro as s20 ultra 100x zoom is well waste of time I know anything pretty much past 30x is a blurr but over all watching YouTube video although samsung looks more natural colour's the detail of the p40 pro can be slightly better its very subjective in most comparisons I can get over the fact there's no Google but should I switch or stick with the ultra and hope samsung can improve further anybody actually switched from s20 ultra to p40 pro and regret it or are you much happier , I know on paper s20 ultra spec wise display ok 120hz at 1080p isn't ideal but display is beautiful and 12gb ram and stereo speakers and tech better front facing cam ,again subjective . I just don't know want to do , thanks for reading hope you can help decide , Lol stay safe [emoji4]

Personally, I'd prefer the P40P and that's not just because it's cheaper and better value depending on how your needs. It's also important to summarize and weigh up the pros and cons for both devices. If you're in the UK with a Exynos CPU, then I'd personally avoid the S20 Ultra altogether due to the hot attention it's been getting for its inferior battery life and CPU performance.
Screen - Samsung (120hz, brighter and higher quality display, no huge pill-shaped punch hole notch)
Battery Life and Charging - Tie IMO (P40P's 5G chipset is more efficient since it has a built-in 5G modem and Huawei tend to be more memory aggressive with closing down background apps). The OPPO Find X2 Pro is very similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro though. They have near identical camera specifications (same main sensor), battery size and screen.
I see it as an overpriced version of a OP8P and with inferior software updates since OnePlus are better at releasing new firmware regularly than both Oppo and Samsung. I wouldn't consider it.

If you're purely after a flexible and strong camera performance across all lens and don't mind losing Google Play Services, the P40 Pro is almost impossible to beat in my opinion. The latest .131 firmware update that just came through about a week ago further improves its shooting performance and it can now take macro shots to an extent (I've posted a few other photos in another thread).
The S20 Ultra with its Exynos chipset is just not worth it. Every user has complained of auto focus issues, poor battery life versus its Snapdragon variant and the price tag has set a lot of expectations for perfection which Samsung couldn't deliver (there's a reason why the S20 series sold 50% less than the S10 series and petitions were started demanding Samsung to answer why they separated these two chipsets across various regions) - I'm not against Samsung but this is a sign that there's problems with this phone. The autofocus issues and its inability to take close-up shots are supposedly being fixed in the Note 20+ though.

I've had the 8 pro and wasn't at all impressed tbh camrea wasn't good and battery life and screen issues with greys and black looked wrong and washed out are stick with P40 pro I think it has best camera option that I'm after and battery life and optimization is Stella on Huawei's I can always install my bank app on tablet so not a deal braker tbh to hell with trump hopefully once he's out the ban will be lifted ,

OP8P's camera is a solid performer, but it's far from a flagship champion in the photography department in my opinion since the P40P is superior in both hardware and software.
Another reason why The P40P is also great in the battery life department is because there aren't any Google Play Services and other Google-related processes running in the background 24/7. I can disable most of Huawei's app services whenever I want, including their App Store, HiCare, HiSearch and their other apps quickly and easily. Yes, even though the battery capacity is only 4200mAh, Huawei has great RAM management and it's not as bloated anymore with other unwanted apps (at least the global version is pretty clean).
I have both the S20U and P40P, i have to say the Huawei is the better device hardware/software wise i u set it up properly HMS/GMS/ICE BOX. I previously had a P30P and i loved it thought i would go Samsung but honestly they are not top of the crop even if the price is.

I'm really into the Hardware and aesthetic of the phone, and I think the P40 Pro is the best on the market in that aspect. It really feels premium and worth the price. It's the perfect size and weight and the materials are top notch. The Samsungs S20's just don't feel their price which is the first thing that lets it down to me (the Note 10's were much better in that respect).
If you have some patience and are good with technology and can side load GMS on the P40 Pro I'd definitely recommend it. It's the first phone out of the recent flagships that I want to keep for the next 12 months.
Another option I'd suggest is the Oppo Find X2 Pro. ColourOS I actually find I prefer to Oxygen OS. The camera is excellent and the phone feels and looks quality.
Thanks good to hear , yes had p40 lite briefly had issues getting GMS working on that but alot of the vids aimed at the p40 pro gave up with it in the end , hope to have more success with p40 pro just to be on safe side and to get my Google fix I've also ordered a oneplus 8 12GB green so will have the best of both worlds preferred it over the pro having the p40 pro as main camera phone dont see the point in getting another pro as well Roll on Monday and good buy Ultra [emoji3]
