Hello All! Just want to ask how many of you experience this strange bug. Power off your Zenfone 6 and plug the charger. Turn on your Zenfone 6 while the charger is still plugged to the outlet to start charging and see what happens. It won't allow you to charge the phone and has a strange loop screen. You can solve the issue by unplugging the charger and powering it back on. Wanted to know if there is any reason for this or is it really a bug?
Just checked, mine doesn't do it. Boots up while charger is plugged in and continues to charge after boot up.

Can you confirm what firmware ver. you are using and if 64/128gb model? Also, is it the 6z or simply 6. Thannks!

Weird. Mine doesn't boot up, just displays battery percentage ring. So there is offline charging.

So, i have a problem with charging my phone... It charges like 5 minutes, it is charged 8-10% more and then it stop charging at all.. Any idea why is that? I tried using another charger but it didn't help. It works fine with computer, but not charging too...

Try to "Power off" the phone and pull the battery out and back it again and connect the charger in the power off mode if didn't work, I think the problem in the USB port, goto the repair center and check it.
The charger just makes the battery blink charging/not charging on and off. It has done this before but quit and now its back...

I have a GT-p5110 note 2. I have had it for 6 months or so, and no problems. Yesterday i did samsungs over air update. after the reboot it had a red X over the battery icon when i pluged the usb charger in, and a system check confirmed "battery Not Charging" i tried with power down and off, i tried this and that googled it etc. Now i have a useless tablet that can struggle to show the (powered Down) battery charge icon and then reboot over an over back in to the battery charge icon.
Worst update ever !!!!!!!!!

turns out it was only my usb wall charger had gone bad.... bought another and turns out it was a knock off brand with a samsung sticker and it acted the same way..... final try, got a legit one and it works now
So... I purchased a t-869 tab from someone.
-I got it at 100% battery, immediately plugged it in.
-It was on and plugged in, battery dies. Doesnt charge at all.
-Wont charge when off.
-Doesn't show the X over the charging icon, shows the proper lightning bolt animation.
-Did a factory reset through recovery, booted with 100% battery. (immediately after showing 0%)
-Stayed on for about an hour, didn't charge when plugged in.
-Died again.
Any ideas? I have 3 Samsung chargers, 1 rocketfish. All act the same way.
It will stay powered on when plugged in without any problems.
I figured it was a software issue based on all my searching.
Flashed CWM and CM11, no dice.
Tried to flash the kernel for the t869 in the PA thread, but now it's stuck at the CM screen..
i flashed the PA rom and GApps, it booted.
still won't charge.
safe to assume my battery is dead? any way to test/confirm?
so... unplugged it.
it died.
I try to turn it back on, no chance whatsoever.
I plug the usb cord in, BUT NOT into the wall, it boots with 100% on the battery.
WTF? guess i'll see how long it lasts.

1 Are you using the original galaxy tab charger (I found that the newer/cheap chargers only "surface" charge mine )?
2 Have you tried a other charging cable (could be a data cable your using charges really slow battery % keeps decreasing?)?

Tried all with the same result
Am having problems charging my nexus 5 since last night.
I reflashed the Kitkat 4.4.4 rom on my nexus 5 from lollipop after i couldn't stand the ram issue lollipop having.
The following night my battery was at 20% and i left it charge overnight and i woke up finding before going work, found that the battery was still charging at 20% .
I tried with the original charger plug and cable and also wireless charging qi nothing charges and phone is losing percentage and have to keep using from the mains to keep the phone on.
When i use the usb cable or qi charger it says charging on screen then it goes not charging.
I tried re flashing 4.4.4 cleared the cache and tried different usb cables and wall plugs the problem still persists.
I replaced the battery beginning of March this year after i had this phone since launch day and new battery was fine.
I believe its either hardware or software problem causing this.
Please any advice or methods i can do to solve this problem would be nice.

Did you try charging when the phone is off?
It shouldn't be hardware if all you did was downgrade. The boot loader shouldn't influence it

Yes i have tried charging the phone while the phone was switched off for an hour but it shows battery icon empty and still charging
I'm facing this problem right now. Did you figure it what was wrong and fix it?
Is it possible that there is a loose connection inside the phone? Is the phone recognized when connected to a computer? Maybe a damaged USB port, cable, or charger?
phone only works when its plugged into the charger
i have one year LG gpro 2 and suddenly it turn off.
and when i turn it on it stuck at LG logo and immediately shut down and return back to LG logo.
but when i tried connect it with charger it turn on and can function normally, i tried disconnect the charger and it will shut down.
guys, how can i fix this problem ??

If it was the charger port. It wouldnt charge. Even if it does when the battery charged. It must hold the charge. Then. It was the battery. The battery cant handle the charge
