I do have a question since I cannot post in the development forums, yet.
Does anyone have issues with the wallpaper randomly reverting back to the stock ICS wallpaper?
I can't seem to keep my wallpaper on my home screen for very long.

I was using the default launcher (not Nova). I flashed version 2 of AOKP and haven't had an issue with this, yet...

Has anyone figured out what causes the keyboard to stop working in messaging?
I can hit the first letter, and the keyboard will bring up predictions for what I press, but it won't enter any text into the field.
To fix it, I have to back out of the conversation and return to it to be able to type again.
It does it with all keyboards, too.
I can't exactly figure out what causes it to stop working. Before I thought it was locking the phone in the middle of typing, because it would sometimes be unresponsive after unlocking, but I've also had it be fine after unlocking, and I've also had it stop responding in the middle of me typing.
That's the only issue I've had with AKOP, apart from the wifi toggling thing, but that's a well-known bug.

I've personally never had this issue, are you using the stock keyboard that comes with the rom ?

How can I stop the ROM from automatically downloading my apps. I would rather use TiBu.

I use Swiftkey X, but it will do it with the stock keyboard as well. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the keyboards, since they'll load up predictions for whichever button I press, but it just won't actually type in the field.

The setting within GPlay...options...turn off auto updates....

Ooo I think I know what you men because I too have had these little annoyances before.... what I did when it started was kill EVERYTHING LOL yes literally kill all of the things... I even killed the keyboard/sms process since that's where it happened most at. After doing that my issue was usually fixed. Also found that I just type too fast sometimes.... it honestly can b a number of things actually, let me know how this works.

Does anyone know how to change system fonts for this ROM?

Before flashing this ROM i wanted to know how the battery life is on this?
Compared to other GB ROMs.

My battery life hasn't been the greatest. about 8 hours with minimal use. Screen was barely on and little texting.

Sucks to hear, i'll hold off for now

I have been getting a little less battery life with ics...but nothing shocking. I get anywhere from 10 to 16 hours...but that is the same I have been getting with gb...even froyo. I do a lot of reading and listening to the radio...and I always have a charger near by for those occasions when the battery gulps instead of sips.

OK, maybe a dumb question. Coming from GB Roms, I am use to "My Files". On this ROM where do I find something that works the same, or what is the format?

[Q] S Pen Button Not Switching Pens in S Note?

So, after getting my Note in August, and using it for email and Internet, I've finally been checking out what this thing can really do. Supposedly, I can switch pens (after creating pre-set pens in S Note) by pressing the S Pen button. Well, sometimes this works. Mostly, it doesn't. I've tried pressing hard, pressing softly, holding the button down, close to the screen, on the screen, away from the screen. Doesn't matter.
When it does work, which is maybe one out of every thirty tries, I can't figure out why. And then, once it's switched to the next pen, that's it. I can't switch again.
Anyone else experience this? Might this be something I can adjust by turnig the little screws under the button?
Update: Tried this on a coworker's Note 10.1, and he's having the same issue. Even tried switching S Pens. No luck.

Just another bug in the new SNote, if this is the only flaw you noticed consider yourself lucky! I have the same problem in the main app as well, the toggle between pen and rubber in the small mode is working great though. Does that work on your device (hold the button and double-tap the screen to get up the small SNote)? If it does, at least you know it's not you nor the hardware.

'Nuther question: Is the pen switching thing supposed to work only in the new S Note (on Jellybean), or was that supposed to be a feature in the ICS version, too? I'm having some trouble finding specifics about new S Note features online. Lots of articles refer to "enhanced S Note features, " but very few say what they actually are!

As far as I can remember toggle between pen and rubber is supported even in ICS SNote but not toggle between your favorite pens. Ie, just like it works at the small quick note app now. But I'm not sure to be honest, that wasn't a feature I learned to use since I only had that SNote a couple of days before upgrading to JB.
I'm sure you already know this, but if you haven't consider giving LectureNotes a try!

Yeah, I've checked out Lecture Notes. Even tried Evernote for a few days and was pretty excited about it. But I mainly use S Note for journaling, not note taking. And the ability to slap a picture, video, or map in there on-the-fly, is pretty awesome. I have a three year old, and you just can't beat how easy it is to stick a video or audio recording in your note.
If I was using this in school, I may feel differently.

I have to agree with you, SNote is a quite awesome app! It's to bad they have messed it up in the last version, however I think it's just a matter of time before there'll be an update that solves most problems including the one you experience with the button.

So weird... this is working for me now. I think maybe my pens were so close to each other that I didn't realize it was working. I don't know. But I went in and created 7 pens, of the colors of the rainbow, so I could be sure I knew if they were switching. And they do. And when it reaches the end of the list, it switches to the eraser, then starts at the beginning of the list again.

Strange! That didn't work for me but I've noticed there is a couple of different SNote version that at looks the same depending on what android you're running so they might have fixed some bugs on your. Good for you

I find this most useful feature doesnt work reliably within s notes, it changes the brush preset only about once every 10 presses of the s pen button, however if I take a screen shot then the feature works perfectly when drawing on the screen shot!! Why is that?

Nope, that's not the problem here since it's working just fine at the quick note app even if it's just toggle between pen and rubber in that particular version. So the pen nor the handling it aint, it's just an SNote bug that seems to appear in some versions of SNote.

That sounds good cause right now Sammy keyboard has the number row but no long press symbols, while swiftkey has long press symbols and no number row

This is great news! I think they realized that with the devices getting bigger, it's a must have now.

That's the exact reason why I was torn between the two last year. Samsung came out on top because I tend to use numbers more than symbols (password, date, etc).

Great news. Thanks! I haven't been using SK because of it.

It's been about time for this. I made my note 3 showing the change input method thingy in the notification bar just for that reason. Let's just hope that the update is coming soon.

Every keyboad must have dedicated numeric pad just like sammy keyboard. It feels annoying when you have to press extra buttons to get the numeric pad. Thats the main reason I am using sammy keyboard.

Very good. With screens this big there really is no reason that the option shouldn't be there. Not everyone wants the dedicated number row, but many do. If Swiftkey implement this their userbase will grow, I am sure lots of people refrain from using SK because it lacks the number row.

You do realize you can just hit the 123 key and you get numbers?

With that '123 key' you type >press 123 key> type number >press key again to get back to typing. If thats cool with you, more power to ya. The point for many is not having to do all that. It's not the smooth flow of using a keyboard with a dedicated number row.

Nice. Now if they could implement the swype to move the cursor, like Samsung keybord, that would be perfect.
Anyway, can't use Samsung keyboard because of the long press to get to exclamation points/etc. It takes to much time. And the swype option is very slow compared to SwiftKey Flow feature.

SwiftKey beta live now with Emoji and numbers row! Yeah!

Downloaded and love it! The only think they need to to take off is the number rows on the Qwerty line

[Q] Typing on OPO

Is it me or is typing on this device a pain?
Its like I have to type at the devices pace, as in, it cant keep up and letters get skipped or swipe activates.
I havent experienced this on any other device. Any help?

What keyboard app are you using? I'm using SwiftKey and am not experiencing any problems with double hand typing, although flowing thru SwiftKey can have a lot of errors or sometimes I accidently have my hand on the enter button.

Im using the stock google keyboard. Its my favorite keyboard (at least on all the other devices lol)

Which phone did you come from? I have similar issues, but that's from switching from an iPhone! Try changing to ART I have found it a bit smoother.

Coming from HTC M8 and from Note 3

Try art and then if that doesn't work. Try another keyboard app like SwiftKey, it's free now. So you don't lose anything by trying either

I have also problems, in portrait mode and with the standard keyboard I can' t type a "b" . Its always the letter nearby... I use now smart t9 keyboard to avoid this problem. I already reseted the device,unchecked the gestures and contacted the support,but still the same !
Im afraid thats it hardware related ?

I have the same problems. Try using a touchscreen test app and it'll be even more clear of the inaccuracies. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or kernel issue

This isn't just you. There are plenty of people having this problem. Please, create a JIRA account here and "Vote" on the issue by using the links on the right (and also comment if you can). The higher the exposure, the more seriously they'll take this problem.

As I said in the other thread, we're all very nervously waiting to find out if this is a hardware issue or a software one. I literally cannot reliably type on this thing unless I slow right the heck down and type like a snail.

Hey folks,
I've been using SwiftKey as long as I remember on my old phones.
I expected the s6 to run very smoothly with it but the opposite is true for me.
Swipe to delete words barely works and typing is laggy and sluggish most of the time.
Predictions are bad and I haven't found a way to make it work better.
Anyone using SwiftKey as well? How is it running for you?
Are there other keyboards that you can recommend?

Also I have problems too on the S6 edge. Now I went back to the stock one till they fixed it.

Often when I swipe back it doesn't react at all..

Same with me - swipe back to delete words almost unusable

Painful most of the time...
Wrong predictions, backspace does not work, jumps to the beginning of the sentence while typing...

i've found that Swiftkey isn't all that swift when you swipe words and actions. try swiping a word like "ok" or "at" and it almost always gives you a different word. it just can't handle short words well at all. Swype on the other hand has no problems with this. but on the S6, swype is performing poorly for some reason. getting a lot of incorrectly swiped words while i've never had any issues on previous 3 phones.
i'm a swipe to type kinda guy ever since Swype first came out and if you're like me i'd take Swype over Swiftkey any day. i tried pretty much every keyboard out there that uses swiping and Swype is still the best. tap to type is atrocious though, so stay away if you're that kind of person.
