have a new Samsung S10e, and when I get a notification like for a text message, or for two-factor authentication confirmation from an app, etc., the lock screen doesn't wake up. So I hear the notification sound, and when I open the phone the notification is waiting on the lock screen.
how can my notification waking up lock screenlike old iphone?

I had the sema problem, you can set it up with aodnotify, you don't have to use aod, it's just like on the iphone.

I am experience an issue (what I believe to be an issue) with the lock screen notifications not showing up when my screen is off. When I receive text messages or emails when my phone is off (AOD is disabled and lock screen notifications are enabled) the screen does not turn on and display any notifications (I could have sworn it did on my S6). Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to have it display my notifications when I receive them if my screen is off?

Unless it's built in to an app, the screen does not turn on for notifications. If there's a setting for that I could not find it.
I'd like that too, it works nicely on the iphone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with Verizon that I just bought and have the same issue - it won't show notifications on the lock screen (with AOD off). For examle, any Gmail notifications. The screen just stays blank and does not turn on to show the notifications, unlike every other smartphone today (my Nexus 5X did that). Am I missing something? I can't believe that this awesome phone would be missing such a fundamental feature (i.e. turn on the screen temporarily to show notifications). Other people also have this issue?

Is possible to have the lockscreen of the S8+ like the googe pixel?
For example, if i receive an notification, the screen can wake up and show the particular notification?
In the google pixel it happens, but on S8+ just have the icon of the application and not wake up.

Easy to do.
Steps:
1. Disable AOD;
2.Disable Edge Led notifications;
3.install app Glimpse Notifications (will wake up screen for any notification) and enable it;
4. Done.
Regarding this and heads up notifications you can read more on my thread, since although I do like how edge led and s8/s8+/n8 notifications look visually you have to admit they (bubble notifications) are not very practical, and I wanted to re-create notifications the same way the appear on other nougat based Android phones

When the SMS is received (to the samsung message) *, the sound of the notification is played, the icon is displayed on the AoD, but it also lights up and displays the Lock Screen.
Everywhere I'm looking at setting this status (display and lighting Lock Screen) to turn off .. will anyone advise? (I would like the notification to be displayed on the AoD after receipt of the SMS but Lock Screen not activated)

Google Message works as expected (= Notifications will appear on AoD after receiving new SMS, but Lock Screen will not light up)
** all notifications behave as they do (do not wake the Lock Screen), only the new SMS Lock Screen will wake up

Check your Edge lighting settings. Either turn it off, or tune the settings to the specific apps.

I have some problem with the notification on the lock screen.
Without notification led, I decided to use the animation for have an indication of notification on the lock screen.
Unfortunately it's don't really work, the most of the time there is no animation when I receive a notification, do you have any idea of why ?
Another problem is that when I turn on the screen I see three times the same message why ?

To use the ambient display and for animated notifications you have to disable battery saving
its kinda useless. it flashes once when you get the notification.
try use pixel pulse from playstore
