Package Disabler Pro - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Questions & Answers

Coming from a Note 8 that has a package disabler that will no longer work on new phones. Just wondering if Package Disabler Pro is working on the Note 10. Thanks for any info provided.

I'll be trying App Freezer, worked on my Note 8 using ADB side load. It sucks having to remove all accounts, but it worked when everything else failed over time. Any app that works easily straight from the Play Store, probably won't last long from my experience.

I've just been doing ADB commands to disable/uninstall things here are two links. One is a bash script you can customize/run and the other is an overall guide, both were for the Note9 but still apply.

I tried it as I used it on the Note 8, kept asking for permission over and over. Wouldn't uninstall either, had to do a FDR. Using ADB on the packages that I'm sure of. There is another package disabler that I'm waiting on a reply as to whether it works on the Note 10. It's not in the Play Store, need to pay via PayPal.
https://www.packagedisabler.com/

Try CCSWE App Manager from Play Store

App Freezer works. I wish I had done it on Wednesday when I got the phone, so I wouldn't have to disable all accounts. But I just finished ADB side loading and all is well.

So App Freezer works?? still have to go trough disabling all Google accounts etc

Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) vs BK Package Disabler (Samsung)

I was always using Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) by policedeveloper , however, after reading some different threads, looking at the reviews, and the recent fiasco of PDP plug-in I tried BK Package Disabler (Samsung) . For whatever reason or maybe my personal opinion I found that Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) seems to work better. I wanted to see what the XDA community thought. Which Samsung "disabler" do you use, and why?
Got both, kind of different presentation but both works fine.

I like, use and own both. What I prefer about BK is the fact, that it is showing the running status and sometimes even the RAM impact in the list. I have no idea, why this is not implemented even better - for me, this is the number 1 criteria - does it run in the background and how much RAM does it take.
Just switch to BK because it has the ability to stop the IQService, by just stopping one service inside the Android system Package. Package Disabler pro cannot disable that service, which is a hidden version of Carrier IQ.

Agree, BK provides more relevant list information and options...
BK Package Disabler is better!

I might have understood you wrong, but Package Disabler does both of the thing you mention for BK?
Good day.
I chose bk package disabler, because it has an "Favourites" separator, so it will be faster to freeze/unfreeze most frequently used apps. EZ package disabler was better in that way, but it stopped working
How can I install BK Pack Disabler if it says in Google Play that "This app is incompatible with all of your devices."? I have an S8 G950F.
It is safe apps to use it?
If you disable some service or app the mobile need what happening if the phone stuck?
And how disables these services without root?
I like, use and own both.
I use BK Disabler, switched from Package Disable Pro. It opens up a lot quicker and shows whether the process is running and how much memory it uses.

Actually also Package Disabler Pro gives the same information (and some else) simply touching the package you want to check.

I don't waste my time every minute to look at how much memory my apps are using, once every month is enough, I've better things to do... maybe you enjoy checking continuously the RAM usage on your phone... better take a life.......LOL...
BK Disabler Pro. It simply works for what I want. I am sure you can't go wrong with either app.

BK Disabler goes a step beyond and shows you how much RAM an app uses on the main page, without clicking each and every one of them individually.

Once I've disabled all the bloatwares, I'm done, I don't need to continuously open the disabler app.
If I wish to check the app RAM usage on my phone there are lots of better system monitoring apps on the Google Play, no need to use a package disabler app for that!
BTW, everybody is free to use the app he likes more.
used package disabler pro for a yr. great app. decided to try BK when I got my new device. I like BK much better. BK has the capability to disable each service that an app has. I use Google apps, but have no need for certain functions. such as Bluetooth, nfc, microphone, location, etc... I turned off over 100 services that could be running, just in the Google Play Services app alone. I wasn't even aware that was a thing. my battery life is the best it's ever been. I'm @ 21%@ 11pm & haven't charged it since 1am last night. almost 24hrs & my phone is basically my right hand. for that reason alone, I suggest BK.. Package Disabler Pro, like i said, is a really great app though. I loved it. but....
Its a pity that u cant uninstall apps(bloatware) like facebook or messanger.
U can just only disable

Gboard (Google keyboard) Issue

So I don't know if anyone else really uses Gboard like I do but I've come across this problem that won't allow me to turn on the user dictionary sync in it's settings. I was wondering if anyone else may have come across this issue and found a solution
I was thinking it was just me. I think we would have to disable or remove the Samsung keyboards/dictionary.

Yes I've been using that app since before BK app disabler was even out and it's always worked fine for so i see no point in buying BK when it does the same thing and wasting money. To each his own though. I can certainly say if I didn't already own this app by reviews alone i would purchase BK Disabler instead.
All i did was install Gboard, set it up, set it as default, disable Samsung keyboard i honestly never even gave it a thought until i saw your post and when in to check and see if it was syncing or not
App is Package Disabler Pro by policedeveloper

Yeah installed from play store and didn't even disable the Samsung keyboard and it still has no problem syncing. Sorry i can't be of more help

Sync not working is due to secure folder

the bk plugin 2 is the problem lol.
if you dont already have it in your app history, it will not allow you to see it in the store.
trust me i tried for hours.
you simply CANNOT gain access to the bk plugin 2 if it's not already in your app history
EDIT: it's possible they reuploaded it, like pdp did. it seems the devs try to stay ahead of the play store by reupping every few days/weeks with minor changes and then google takes it down again.

I tried opening both of the APKs direct from that link, but it gave the same error parsing the package.
I downloaded it to my phone, then opened it from there and it worked fine. Followed the instructions and I was able to fully use it.
hi, i formatted my S9+ just when BK Manager and MDM Extension apks were removed from Play Store.
my question is, i have both of these apks files in my storage, will i be able to install them manually and whether the disabler app will still work as it was before? can someone kindly advise?
i have emailed the developer a couple of times asking the same questions, but not getting any response or help and was never my intent to ask for a refund.
File 1. com-kunkunsoft-packagedisabler1515128400
File 2. MDM_Extension_2_Full
as for the time being, is there any other good disabler app that we can use safely? i feel so lost without this app/feature.
thank you.

The ADB command in the instructions is for a wrong package. You just need to change it to the one in their download link.

I did manage to get this working, but since then I've had a notification pop up on my phone a couple times which makes no sense to me. I'm wondering if this is a side effect of making that app an owner on the phone.
It tells me my phone is a "Managed Device" and that the organization may install software and make changes on the phone without my knowledge or consent.
A) That sounds scary, since I the phone didn't come from an organization.
B) Why is it suddenly popping up and telling me this? It's not asking for permission. It's not even asking me to acknowledge or read it. Just stating it like a fact. It's popped up at least twice over the last 2-3 days.
Any idea what's going on?

It's a response to trying to disable more packages than sammy wants you to. It removes a bunch of features. Sammy's way of trying to get people not to use package disabler.
What I did was disable all I wanted then uninstalled the disabler and it went back to normal with everything still disabled
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Package Disabler for Samsung is back
App Name : Package Disabler Pro+ (Samsung)

That's it. It's a one-click solution to deal with bloatwares.
Nice business model. Release app, complain that google removed it, re-release it and ask people to pay for it again.

Without root you can still use substratum to theme your phone.

You can also use Hex Installer to theme without root.

This is my current set up (see, import xml attachment*). I'm using the PD widget to flip Playstore and a few other checked apps on as needed.
Of course you can block many I don't have blocked.
Just don't get stupid about it. Probably best not to block One UI... Goggle and try to learn/understand what you're blocking.
Know that some apks are dependent on others, that by blocking an apk it can cause constant polling that sucks cpu cycles and battery as other apks try to communicate with the missing one.
So just blocking the hell out of everything doesn't necessarily mean better battery life. Bloatware and 3red party aapps are generally exempt from this effect; system apps watch more carefully if blocked.
Note that I block AT&T updates like the plague; don't want it forcing updates and it's constantly running with every permission under the sun.
If something goes wrong and you get the flashing kernel of death you'll need to disable PD as Administrator fast. Know how to get there blindfolded, ha-ha fast mind and fingers count when the screen warning is flashing.
PD runs in Safe Mode so forget that.
The current version is very stable on Pie; no issues.
I've never had to do a hard reset using package blockers but using a rock solid one is important as it can raise hell if it goes rogue.
Weeeee-e-e fun times... too fun.
Use PD MDM to clear data; it leaves no nulls (presumably).
Clearing app data in Settings apparently doesn't always; enough so to leave the data corrupted in some cases. I've seen this happen.
PD can fix apks by clearing data that otherwise wouldn't be possible like with smaller unistallible system apks.
It's a great tool to use for troubleshooting and system repair. It can save you from a reload.
I love this app; my 10+ be a complete mess without it.
It's the first app I load on a reload.
Play with it
Note: if you do a carrier update it's best to disable PD completely. I've done flashes with it enable with no apparent harm but this isn't a good idea. Apps seem to update ok on Playstore even when blocked.
*you can create multiple backups with different configurations and use that history of them to troubleshoot etc. Make sure to save copies to the SD card, email it to yourself or on the PC... saves time.

You really should take the time/trouble to learn what a apk does and what happens (dependencies) when you do.
Home - Package Disabler
The only NON-root solution that let’s you disable any unwanted packages that come pre-installed / installed with your phone / tablet.
www.packagedisabler.com
Some apps are best firewall blocked rather than package blocked; Karma Firewall, Playstore.

Yes. It is actually PDP pro (what was linked) . Like ccswe it is a dependant on Samsung deciding if the licencing terms have been broken and if so invalidating all the licences

Been using it for over 3 years, zero issues.
It can completely clear apk data/caches unlike when you do it in settings so it can repair system apks that otherwise would cost you a factory reset. A very useful tool.
It also has an interactive widget that allows you to toggle all checked apps on/off easily, very useful. The app uses little battery and can be firewall blocked once it's license has been activated.
It literally is the first app I load after a factory reset

I'll get it bought so if the key runs out do I just go back onto the Web site and buy a new key? I've just factory reset my device as I fancied a fresh install and the first thing I try to do is disable all the apps I don't use lol

Last reload it updated its license automatically I believe. Either way it wasn't hard or eventful to do.
As useful as it is on one of my reloads I simply just repurchased it to expedite matters. The 10+ is an unusable mess without it

Haven't had any issue with my license so far, been using it for 4-5 months now. I personally like it better than the adb method because you can disable and reenable on the fly.

Just be careful as it's active even in safe mode.
The -only- way to disable PD MDM is in Device administrator apps.
If you disable a system apk that's needed to boot and you reboot you're boned.
I never had that kind of issue but keep it in mind.

Been doing this for years with zero problems. The note 10+ and Note 20 Ultra are the only 2 phones I haven't rooted. If you didn't have to pay to unlock the bootloader I'd do the Note 20.

Lol, ever get the "Android kernel has stopped" message?
It's rare but oh ever so fun
Hasn't happened with my current disabler or on the 10+ but damn...
As the flash rate increases it becomes quit a challenge to deactivate.
Androids are a riot
