Seems to be good

All I could say is that is pretty normal. I've been using the phone from June and the battery life is really good. All it matters is whether the phone is able to get you through the day comfortably or are you constantly searching for a power outlet. I've added screenshot of the best sot I got during an all movie/media day, 11+ hrs is stellar. And there are times when I get only 3-5 hrs sot when I'm using lot of navigation and chrome. So don't just go by sot as a measure of battery life.

I sell my OP7 cuz without WIFI and without Youtube it is no way to get 6h SOT after 1d
They almost watching videos and use WIFI, thats the reason why they get 8-12h SOT

See my posts here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7/review/screen-time-t3923963 it's possible, I'm using 70% mobile connection and less YouTube as you can see.

Fantastic battery life

Battery life is a difficult topic as comparisons are so difficult and what not, but generally I must say that I'm getting fantastic battery life. I've used my phone quite a bit today and after 13 hours I still have 51% left. This is with my new UTB Rom.

How much screen on time? Go to battery stats and tap on the screen field to see it.

The battery on this thing seems amazing. On my first charge, I went down to 42% after 1 day and 2 hours with 1h 45min screen on time. Not the longest screen on time, but still fantastic overall imo.
First charge and usage was; A few texts, 10-20 min of video, fair amount of browsing, installing lots of apps, tweaking and changing everything about, GPS, camera etc. and brightness was at 70-85% brightness for about 1-2 hours and dropped to 50% for the rest of the time, however, I didn't have my SIM in for the first hour of use (testing the mobile first to make sure it worked ok), wifi was on constantly as well.
Second charge and usage was; the same as above but a fair bit more browsing was done and a few games (angry birds and ROM emulators) and brightness was at 50% the entire time, plus this time the SIM was in for the entire time.

I went from 7:30am to 3:35 PM max brightness. with 43% to spare!

Battery life about right?

I'm running stock. Not rooted. Disabled most of the junk. No Facebook. Medium use. No phone calls. Connected to WiFi, 4-5 signal bars.
9hrs total up time.
3hrs 50mins screen on time.
Is it about right or alarming?

You can get better battery life. See attached screen pics. I took readings on two different occasions and have achieved 5+ hours SOT at 54 and 55 percent screen on usage. Battery usage at 40 hours with 31% remaining and 36 hours with 26% remaining. I turn off auto sync, location (only turn on when needed), 2 minute screen shut-off when idle, turn off circle clock. Phone usage includes calls, emails, messaging, youtube, flixster, web surfing, xda, camera, no facebook. Display at 60% auto.
Ah. I have sync off. Location is on battery saver. I'll try turning off location.
Once I flashed cloudy my battery life almost doubled. Just food for thought

SoT is a lie!

Hello XDAres
Read this as a foreword - it's not a must
I've been using my OnePlus One for about a year, and at first the battery was great, but after upgrading to CM12S it seemd like it got much worse. this case wasn't only for me ofcourse.. many other users of CM12s and basically any Lollipop device had complained about a decreased battery life. their evidence to that was their SoT- which used to be (and I'm talking about the majority) around 4-5 hrs back at KitKat days, and had dropped down to 3-4 once they had gotten the 5.0-5.1.1 Updates.
that was caused by a number of things- among of them was the Google Services Wake bug etc.
Now to the point-
My OPO used to get 4.5+ SoT ( Screen on Time) back @ Kitkat days. since the upgrade to LP it went down to 3-4 max.
And then I've tried something-
I simply changed the settings of display, to turn off the display after 30 minutes of screen idle (it was 15 seconds before).
And the results?

The suggested conclusion is- SoT is a lie.
If prior to the changes I've made on the display settings, I'd get ~15% @ the end of the day ( say 11PM/23:00 ) and a 3.5hrs SoT, I can now get to ~5% at the end of the day ( again 11PM/23:00 ) by simply raising those values. does it mean that I've used the phone more? well, no, it simply tells us that SoT isn't that trustworthy as we thought.
Opinions?
Of course your screen on time will be better with a 30 minute timeout. But all you are doing is having it sit, doing nothing until it finally times-out.
But yes, the way you're doing it is not telling a true screen on time with actual usage.
Most people's screen on time numbers reflect the phone being used during that time. :good:

Personally average 15 hours with 6 hours screen on time. That puts me around 25% by the time I plug in.

Currently at 49% battery left with just over 4hrs screen on time and ~17hrs uptime(charged to 99%)

I average 6 hours SOT with around 17 hours off the charger.

Getting me excited
I mean if you plan to use Maps and Camera all day (my scenario when I'm as a tourist in a new city) don't expect to have more than 4 hours SoT.
But in a typical day usage from home to office / office to home / and then you go to sleep at night... some hearthstone and some photos here and there.
you can reach 6 hours average.

16h sot on 4500mah? can u stop lie and put some screens numbers
Because I cant? When i got the phone I played 3ds game for 10 hours. Then watched youtube for a couple and did phone stuff. *Im not gonna test something that is EASY over 10 hours, because that means its gonna take 10 hours.
My SOT reports 14h and some minutes. My guess is that it is higher than that, because from 9am-11pm I used the phone non stop the first few days and there was still battery left... no long calls though which would obviously change it.
And its 5000mah, not 4500. You also must make sure battery isn't "smart learning" which it does the first few days after a restore\reflash... Didnt do it new out of the box though, battery was already "taught."
