Need advice on flashing rom - General Questions and Answers

Recently purchased an unbranded tablet from amazon UK.
Details: 4G LTE,10 Inch Tablet, Android 8.0,Deca-Core Processor, 2.8GHz,6GB RAM 64GB ROM, 1920×1200 IPS Screen HD,Dual SIM, Dual Camera,WiFi,GPS,Bluetooth,Fire 10.1″
Sold by Kubi Ltd, cannot find any info on them other than their in China.
I am looking for stock rom for this tablet, the only match I can find is Alldocube M5, which has the same board Helio X20 MTK6797 would I be able to flash using this stock rom.? This is android 8.
Interestingly I downloaded the stock rom, extracted the zip, one folder named key has file with name x970_kubi.bin. X970 matches the board I have and tablet was sold by kubi? Or is this just coincidence.
The tablet is brilliant but has been altered by kubi, it states android 8 but in fact it’s android 7.1 so would like to flash with correct rom android 8, all other specs are as stated.
I know I could return the item to amazon but am impressed with performance so if could be flashed using stock rom, would be perfect.
Thanks

hi
anybody can help me about Jiayu g5. ?!
www.fastcardtech.com/Jiayu-G5
is it relay have
ram:2g. & rom:32g. & battery:3000mAh
and the most important the price is 199$ ?!
my questions are :
1. Anybody knows it's company?
does they update their phones to upper android version?
2. when be released Jiayu g5. ?
3. does this phone support in xda or anywhere for root, rom and... ?
The Jiayu G5 is still not released in the market. But it may be available for pre-order at some online shops. It has 2GB RAM and 32 GB ROM but it also has a cheaper version with 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. Here is a link to the updated specs of Jiayu G5: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/jiayu-g5
I doubt it will cost that low, but maybe the 1GB RAM version will be closer to that price. Jiayu is one of the better Chinese brands. They have released many good phones with their G-series. The G5 is their fifth in that series and is built with iPhone 5 in mind.
Advanced version mean 2G RAM, 32G ROM. I have bought this phone for 314US$ for advanced version with 2000MAh battery.
This seems like a Chinese phone, I recommend you stay away from it.
iPhone rip-off man
I recommend you look at specs and reviews. I have the Phone and it is a great Phone.
Iphone = rip-off man
Jiayu G5 advanced
Hello , I wanna share with you some experiences with this model , I bought 1 week before.
I bought it around 330 USD , in version 2gb RAM and 32gb ROM.
The phone comes rooted with preinstalled Superuser . U have to install MobileUncleTools to reboot into recovery.
Functional recovery :
Carvliv Touch Recovery 2.2 - tested working
CWM Recovery 6.0.2.8
Carliv Touch Recovery V1.1 + AROMA filemanager
TWRP 2.5.0.0 - tested by chasemyass and working
TWRP the device can be booted by VolumeUp + Power buttons
For the rest the only way to boot into recovery is from MobileUncleTools
Android Version only 4.2.1
Known ROMs :
Stock ROM : Lewa.
Costum ROMS :
vredniiy v2.6.1 mod
vredniiy v2.4 mod
MIUI 4.1.19
Miui v5
Navigation software tested :
IGOMyWay Primo
Navigon 5.20
Both running smoothly.
Conclusions : Great hardware configuration for the money , very nice design , not very big device (only 4.5" display) , dualSIM working good ,
3G in 900/2100 MHz for both card slots , GPS speed satisfied , AnTuTu Benchmark arround 16500.
Loudspeaker not very powefull , Blitz Light poor , Camera 13MP is shooting nice pictures , vibration softer then other android phones.
Battery 2000mAh tested with Samsung SIII LTE I9305 both got empty almost after the same time of using.
If u use it a lot ( like almost all Android devices and IPhones) u need to plug it in more often.
Waiting for a Cyanogen MOD and eventually an ugrade to Kit Kat Andoid .
Special thanks for sharing a lot of information to "chasemyass"
Waiting for KitKat.

Zoomtak T8 - Upgrading to Android 5.x.x+

Hello, I have a Zoomtak T8 that is running Android 4.x.x. I've tried multiple times to contact the vendor to see if they have plans of upgrading the firmware as most apps are now(or soon) will be unsupported by the device.
My question: Is it possible to upgrade to a newer version of Android or I'm even open to erasing the firmware included with the device and install something else? I've tried running the OTA and Media Manager included with this product but it finds no new updates. Here are the specs of the device:
Zoomtak T8 Specifications:
CPU: Amlogic S802 quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU 2.0GHz
OS: Android 4.4
Memory: 2GB DDR3
Flash: 8GB NAND flash (16 -32GB optional)
Network Wi-Fi: built-in dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4/5.8GHz and built-in 4.0 Bluetooth
DLNA, SAMBA protocols
Firmware upgrade from SD card
GPU: dual-core integrated Mali-450 GPU (3D acceleration engine)
Since this product seems to be End Of Life, i'm willing to try any suggestions even if the possibility is a bricked device. Thanks in advance!

Q88 noob looking for ROM

I am new to rooting Android devices as well as this form. I am using a cheap Chinese q88 tablet for practice until I'm ready to try it on my real phone. I would like to flash a ROM onto this device but cannot find one that is compatible. Is there an eficient way to search for a compatible ROM or does anybody know of one off hand?
model: Q88
processor: quad core A33
android version: 4.4.2
firmware: v2.1
kernel version: 3.4.39
and one more general follow-up question, now that I have rooted my device successfully what do I do with it? All internet advice says the best way to see Improvement is to install a ROM, hence, the first part of this question.
root
Hi,
how to root the q88 device ?

yuntab costum rom? Yuntab Quad Core A33 1,5 GHz Q88

Hello, so i have a Yuntab Tablet and i wanted a costum rom with latest android (like nougat) but its impossible to find a rom for that bcz isnt a very known brand
any possible "universal rom" for that tablet? (clean version, i would fix bugs)
Allwinner A33 quad-core 1,5 GHz.
Android KitKat 4.4
7" - TFT 1024*600
8 Gb, RAM 512 Mo DDR3.
bump, help
EDIT: It got recovery mode.
any ?
It's possible, but because there are so many varieties and different versions it's not useful. Also, it is a slow tablet already so installing Nougat or any other newer Android versions may make it near unusable.
Not saying it's impossible, but not likely
I know this is a old thread but I got one of these. Is there a way to install Android 6 or android 8

Update Android on Elcano 2 (MT8389)

Hi everyone! This is my first post so..first of all I apologize for my grammar, I'm Spanish.
A few days ago I found at home a BQ phablet model Elcano 2 Quadcore. After charging and turning on the device I realized that it currently runs android 4.2.2. I managed to root my device so that I could update it to a more current version of android. The problem comes when I can't find any TWRP recovery or support on Lineage OS.
I have read that you can use the recovery of another device with the same specifications as mine but I have not found anything on the internet either.
Hope you can help me update my phablet. I don't need the latest version of android, by making my device useful I'm satisfied.
I downloaded the Aida64 application to know what processor I have:
MediaTek MT8389
4x ARM Cortex-A7 @ 1508MHz
1Gb Ram
32Gb ROM
7inch
Thanks dudes
