It's hardware limit, I have visited Service Centres and they have told me that Vivo Nex S i snot compatible with MHL or HDMI support.
I have tried multiple USB C to HDMI connectors even after connecting power it doesn't work.

Usb Host with ICS?

Somewhere I read that with ics every device will have this feature.
Will also the Nexus S be upgraded?Does the actual porting support this feature?
Thanks
I don't think the hardware of the present smartphones provide power out for the micro-usb slot. Hence we cannot have USB OTG functionality. Personally would love if someone corrected me........ even many Nokia yester year phones have OTG.

Will HDMI to USB-C adapters work with the OnePlus 6

I saw that the OnePlus 5T doesn't support HDMI to USB-C adapters, but maybe this has changed with the OnePlus 6? Is there any other way to connect the phone to your monitor? Cheers!
Chromecast
I don't think it support usb-c to hdmi, that the reason it prevent me getting op6. According to gsmarena' s specs it use the slow usb 2.0 type c. I want to play emulators on big screen so casting doesn't cut it. On ly a few flagships from Huawei, Samsung, LG, Google support usb type c 3.1
nope just tested it, doesn't work.
If is real ! It's a bad news !!!
Any solution ?
use displaylink adapters. have a look at the op5 section on xda. its discussed there and there are good solutions. usb 2.0 sucks anyway. will wait for the next gereration and hope they change the usb chip

MHL support

Does the Mi Mix 2s support MHL or any other wired screen mirroring function? Because Miracast is always pretty laggy and it's especially bad when it comes to games.
AFAIK, Mi Mix 1/2/2S only support Miracast/Chromecast/Displaylink. You can try Displaylink supported adapter from Plugable (up to Full HD) and Chromecast Ultra (for 4K). Or you can try some Android TV boxs for Miracast.

As I said l, Miracast is pretty laggy and I was looking for a wired solution like MHL which worked a lot better on an older device I used to own. But still thanks for your answer.
Has someone really tried it though? Or does anyone know more in general?
Many have tried the wired Displaylink supported adapter on their Oneplus 5 along with usb otg. I think the main concern is whether the usb port can supply enough power or not. If that is the case, you have to buy another USB hub with seperare power supply.

From your infos It seems that the MiMix2s is normally able to put out an HDMIN signal through its USB-C port,
but only in combination with a specific app ('displaylink presenter')? This seems very unlikely for me.
Nowadays (6 years later) it surely exist a method with a "common" USB-C-to-HDMI-Adapter, or am I wrong?

Looking for an android tablet that can charge OTG

Trying to build a carplay setup with carlinkit, but I need an android tablet that can charge OTG while connecting data to the dongle at the same time. Any recommendations for a table that is known to allow OTG charging? Seems like a lot of tablets don't these days, even the old samsung tab A used to allow otg charging, but not anymore with the newer ones

tbh i never heard or seen the term otg certified before and i can't find specs for what version of usb these android tablets are.
Is there a list anywhere showing which tablets are otg certified or usb 3.0 and higher?

on-The-Go certified means the manufacturer lists that functionality as part of the official spec and as such has paid for the USB-IF certification/guarantees full support. For example my Poco X3 nfc lists otg as part of the spec even though it only has a USB-C 2.0, but it still lists it and it works as intended.
Just search for a newer tablet in your budget and look their spec in multiple websites (example link I have provided above). Fact checking is always a good thing

Question video out on USB-C

Hi,
Can anyone confirm/test whether the 12S Ultra supports video output using a USB-C -> HDMI cable?
Does the phone has something like Huawei EasyProjection or Samsung Dex?
Thanks
I have tried but nothing. I know the specs say no but worth a try.
I loved the desktop mode of my Huawei and it is a shame Xiaomi do not add it to their phones.
this is sad. Thanks for checking
