I'm from Canada and I want to buy the OP7 from a third-party seller because they don't sell the regular 7 here, but they're claiming they sell the red international version they buy from OnePlus Hong Kong, but the OnePlus HK website doesn't sell the red version. They also claim that OnePlus puts the North American adapter in there when they buy it from them when I asked how it comes with the N.A adapter without opening up the box, because they told me it come with the original OnePlus seal, never opened.
They told me that the international version has many variants (for colours), and they said that the model number was GM1910.
So I know there's no way you guys know for sure, but if you have experience with this stuff, is it possible that they really have a red international version from Hong Kong, even if only China and India sell the reds?
And also can my third-party seller really request that OnePlus Hong Kong put the N.A charger in when they buy it?
Or are they b.s.ing me and giving me the red china version and just bought a N.A adapter separately and put it in the box after flashing Oxygen OS on it... which I don't want...
Only china/ india version has red color. There is no internal version available in red.

So is it guaranteed that the seller I'm talking to is lying when he is selling the international version in red? The GM1910?
Unless India gave some to Hong Kong where they bought it from lol?
Or is it possible someone can request it be made or something? I didn't know there was a OP7 Blue until I saw it on the indian page fwiw

I'm from Sri Lanka(Asian Country) and I bought a OnePlus 7 Red 256GB variant and it's model number is GM1900. It came with Global rom installed(Oxygen OS) and with an NA adapter out of the box as well. Its true that there is no international Red version, but as all the hardware is same, it's just a difference between OS version. (Chinese, Gloabl and EU). So I think the phone you are looking to buy is legit.
I'm from Spain, I bought OP7 8/256 Red model GM1900 from china, the package was content an EU adapter out of the OP7 box. The ROM was Oxygen OS 9.5.6.GM57AA and I changed it to 9.5.8.GM57BA without problems. You will not have problems with any model.

AA is for India/global and BA for Europe.
I'm here in Canada , I ordered regular oneplus 7 from Ali express from a seller named fantasy. They have red color available in global and Chinese phones. I got a grey 8gb/256gb Chinese version that came with global ROM as that was the cheapest one! Been using it for few weeks and everything is amazing! I upgraded from op6t and this is definitely better. Dual stereo speakers ?, and finally the indisplay fingerprint feels like perfect.
I just bought a RED 7 off of amazon and it IS international. I'm in the states on AT&T and when I popped my sim in it works great. Also everything is in english. It's the GM1900.

Just received my chinese one, must have been sealed the exporter since it had global rom and correct firmware on it for the usa.

Same here. Looking for Software DAV-701L...B002 of the international Version. Will only root when i find this Software. Who can help?
OMG! The one from Amazon.es is the real internatonal version! Its was sealed and is the color is titanium grey (much beter than my chinese gold one). Its so different than the chinese one. It has a EU plug HW-050200E01, Google apps are already on it, so you don't need to install it in the huawei store, all the chinese apps are gone, quick start guide is in many EU languages. And thebiggest change is it supports band 20 4G! Also the gift is a dot case in black and not the ugly chinese brown one
Strange is that on the box there is a stamp with a Netherlands adres from huawei, but the is no store here that sells the internatonal version.

Product8 MAX DAV-701L
Purchase Date:2015-10-08
Content:Hello ! Last week I bought a phone HUAWEI P8 Max DAV-701L. I replaced the original firmware with version for China b23. I want to get back to the original version for Europe but we found nothing on the Internet. Please help ! My phone was bought in Romania although the packaging is the origin of Huawei Technologies Netherlands BV, Karspeldreef 4 CJ Amsterdam. So the original version of firmware is for the Netherlands and Western Europe. Telephone data are: ...........xxxxx I need my original firmware DAV-701LV00R001C100B002 The phone is unlocked bootloader! I got a code for it! With more consideration.
===========================================================================================================
Thank you for contacting HUAWEI Consumer Care. That's strange because we don't sell the P8 Max in any Western European country, therefore there's no software available for this device on the internet.
Why did you replace the firmware with the Chinese firmware?
============================================================================================================
As I said in my earlier e-mail, we do not have any software available for the P8 Max for Western European countries due to the fact that this model has not been released for Western Europe.
I can't help you with this unfortunately. I apologize for the inconvenience.
So, I'm in the US. I use Straight Talk which uses ATT bands. I do want to get an S7 that will work with my provider. I understand that it would have to either be the ATT model, or the International version.
Where exactly can you buy the international version? Also, will it include the free Gear VR? Also, are there any downsides to getting the international version? Is it still possible to get support in the US for the international model?

You could probably buy it off from Amazon/Ebay or some other site. I'm not sure how often International versions get updated so that could be a downside. As of right now the only way to get the bonus Gear VR is preordering with a carrier, meaning no, you will miss out on the bonus if you want an international unlocked version.

why would you want an European version with an exynos proc instead of SD820 ??

Because one must choose the lesser of two evils... Exynos or... bloated with apps, and carrier boot logo, and having to find someone that can buy the phone and have their carrier unlock it. I called T-Mobile and they told me the phone must be with them (attached to someone's plan) for 7 days for them to unlock it.
I don't have any friends with T-Mobile and I live in South America, so I haven't got many options...
Hi. I just want to be clear... none of the Snapdragon variants have LTE band 28? No even t-mobile? I live in Panama and we have LTE on that band...

Samsung stores in canada sell "unlocked" phones, it gets locked to the first sim card but an unlock code is provided.

clove or handtec will ship to US and the prices are pretty decent. Cheaper than buying full price here in US. Make sure you read everything clove has to say about it though. There is a warning about Samsung locking their phones.
Simply use Amazon.de. They have a fully translated webpage (here is the link) and also the awesome customer service known from Amazon in English.
As a longtime Galaxy Note user I've been looking for an alternative, (minus the pen) after the sad Note 7 dilemma.
There is a gap in the UK waiting to be filled - the LG V20 disappointingly hasn't made it here. I really hope the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in the UK, but can't find any information regarding release?

I'm wondering if this is a big enough upgrade up from my Huawei P9...
I love the look of my P9 from the rear, the Mate 9 not so much... It's the camera I'm really interested in though!!!
And also, I used to use a Nexus 6, went down to my P9 and the idea of going back up in screen size is worrying me as I've actually come to like the 5.2" form factor.
My only concern is lower pixel density.. Also I'd like to know if it affects daydream vr.

I work for Three and I am using one. I also had the Note 7 before the debacle. Can't really notice any difference in screen quality unless you are a big VR user. The speed and battery life are unmatched. Also enjoying camera so far. Monochrome pretty awesome

Just wanted to thank you. I ordered today from mygsm.me, and it will arrive to UK within 3 days. Very easy guys to deal with. I got the Mocha Gold as well (it was my second choice after Space Grey which they don't have). Just to let everyone know, this is indeed the international version (MHA-L29). I emailed them before buying, and Nash from their sales department confirmed. I'll update with pictures.
I have an AT&T Sim, which can roam on 3, Vodafone, and EE with my Nexus 6p. I'll let you know what the Mate 9 works on.
I found there are 3 different versions of Xperia 5ii.
XQ-AS52, XQ-AS62, XQ-AS72
Anyone know the differences on these three models?
It seems based on product codes and xpericheck:
XQ-AS52 - EUROPE - 128Gb, 5G
XQ-AS62 - US - 128Gb, no 5G
XQ-AS72 - China/HK/Tw, 256Gb, 5G
My device is from europe and I'm on 1 aug security update.
So, no difference in the hardware and radios from what I read. I got the XQ-AS72 and I'm on Verizon. Initially, the IMEI said that it wouldn't work on Verizon. But if you get with the right tech rep on chat, tell them that you need to set up a CDMA-less phone. I did it today and got the phone working on Verizon! Only using LTE, but Verizon is killing off 3g (read: CDMA) at the end of the year, so can't imagine that will be an issue. Off to the races with a cheaper phone with double the internal storage than what I could order in the US....
Update: Phone works on Verizon. Did an online chat with tech support, and told them that I needed to be able to activate a phone as CDMA-less. I got hooked with a dude who had been with them for 7 years or so and he's all "I know exactly what you want to do and how to do it." Half hour later, I'm on the network and swinging large!

Install the official tool from Sony, Xperia Companion, and run a repair. I had the same issue. Now I am on 58.0.A.22.21 with October patches. You can easily use this tool, it is the official tool from Sony, so you are not illegaly flashing or unlocking it.
Does the XQ-AS72 variant work in Canada and the USA? Why cant I find detailed specs on the sony site for bands and such. Its such a pain.

Are you getting VoLTE on T-mobile out of the box, or did you need to flash the US firmware? Thinking of ordering the same version (for double the storage and the blue color) but from what I've seen so far seems like I need to flash the US firmware in order to get VoLTE to work on T-mobile.
Hi all! Guys, I am trying to bring all known info into one list, so IF YOU KNOW YOUR DEVICE\FIRMWARE REGION, could you please share model, memory capacity, 1sim or 2 sim, region and color followed by screenshot of Software Info page?
Just enter Service menu by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* , then go to Software Info
It will help me a lot.
Here is an example of what and how I would see it.
XQ-AS52 8\128Gb Dual Sim EU (Customized EEA) Blue

What is Customized EEA?
XQ-AS72 8\256Gb Dual Sim (HK I think) Blue
(You can also see my 1 bar reception even though there's a cell tower 50 meters outside my window)
Customized EEA - Standart non-branded version sold in Europe (UK and Russia has its own variants, same is valid for some operators):

Huh! That's the main point and problem. For now I\We don't know any working way to check xperia 5 II CID. If we could it would solve a problem with device region identification. But for now we can only rely on what Software info says and to try to understand what SOFTWARE VERIONS like GLOBALEEA-A2, GLOBAL-C2, etc. and PRODUCT CODES means. At leats that's what I am trying to do.
@Cptnfruitloops - You have HK or TW. I can't tell which one directly - or at least from shared info.
@LOCKDOC_UA - Did you try to explore firmwares? I guess it can help you with your effort.
Very interesting for identification is also "LTA version" (Yeh I dumped it from FWs). At least for XQ-AS72, where it can be used for distinguish CN from SEA and from TW/HK (they share same elabel). It won't help to distinguish XQ-AS52 versions though, since they share same elabel.
Anyway, those labels are quite interesting in few ways.
For example TW/HK version contains information about charging voltages/currents:
And for example Japanese versions (SO-52A) contains FM radio (If you check its FCC ID: PY7-08372L https://fccid.io/PY7-08372L - compare with European version FCC ID: PY7-310Z https://fccid.io/PY7-30637Z which doesn't have it.

You're right. Just now I discovered such info inside firmwares downloaded from xperifirm. Thanks

XQ-AS62 - US - 128Gb, no 5G

Who can explain why US version has no 5G support? This model has different hardware? I thought 5G modem is a part of Snapdragon 865.
Does anyone know what ROW_Commercial means?
@LOCKDOC_UA
Its simple - they decided to turn it off since it (modem HW) doesn't support 5G bands used in US (It support only bands 1, 3, 8, 28, 77, 78 - none of those will work in US).
Because of that you can't market it as 5G phone in US - Support would be overwhelmed with questions from customers - I bought this 5G phone and it doesn't work with my operator? Which operator should I use to get 5G? We are sorry - none will work. So to avoid it they simply decided to turn it off.
Also forget 5G roaming - It doesn't work anywhere yet - so even keeping surprise overseas 5G doesn't make any sense.
@Cptnfruitloops - I guess its current used modem configuration, but may be I am wrong.
