How disable audio ducking on android 9 - MX Player

How do i disable it so the volume doesnt get lowered by notifications?
Poweramp has that option for music, but cant find that option in MX player free. Is there that option? where? is it in free version or only pro?

Unfortunately, MX Player doesn't provide any options to control the audio ducking at the moment. However, we will highlight this with our relevant team for further review.
Thank You!

For other peopke using mxplayer (or any app that get its volume ducked), this can be avoided by using "silent mode/dnd mode" (at least in xiaomis). But it would be great to have it built-in in the player in the future.

[Feature Request] Equalizer

Hello, Im new to android and new to MX Player as well. When I first use this app I did not regard it as usefull, but after sometime I again download it and try to compare with other Video player and atlast I got my favurite Video Player.
Anyway, thanks for developing such a wonderful and powerfull video player. May I request one feature which I regard it as very usefull for watching movie with good sound quality. I mean including Equalizer in MX Player in coming version.
Thanks.

It's already in the Feature Requests list. Always check there before making a request.
Two years later, will there ever be an equalizer for MX ?
FYI, I'm a willing buyer as soon as an equalizer is confirmed. I'm hearing impaired and without setting the frequencies I can't use the MX properly.

Same here! I do like this MX player, but I miss the VLC equalizer.
The nice thing about the VLC equalizer is, that it has a wide range, and 10 bands.
You can amplify frequencies up to 20dB. Many equalizers only go up and down 10 dB.
Nice about the MX player is that you can do a lot of adjusting to the way subtitles are displayed.

I'm curious which one as well. I've had a few that work inconsistently.

I have tried some of the equalizers like equalizer fx. Everything is working on my two test devices running on Marshmallow. Only thing is you have to ensure that the app is not suppose to be killed for battery optimization.
Yes it may some time inconsistent since the latest android devices doesn't provide option to select the default audio fx app. It might be the reason why the developers has stopped developing Universal audio processing apps.
10band equalizer will be great for audio geeks....
I will ask the MX Player developer about his plan for equalizer & update the status if any.

I was using this before, but as you suggested, it constantly loses audio focus.

It also interfered with the EQ that's built into Poweramp.

When Poweramp is closed properly, it's dsp plugin not suppose to be interrupt the audio.
BTW, had a interaction with @bleu8888. FYI, equalizer is planned for 1.10. He is in a process to finalizing 1.9.0 & working on some other features. Once 1.9.0 is finalized to all android 4.0 users he may take up other pending features like Equalizer, Chromecast for 1.10.

Equalizer, pc support and thanks.
...fans all over the world(Kenyan).
Thanks for the input and detail, I've been using the app since '15.
That equalizer would be the only thing that would make the app lethal.
Wish there was pc support too, preferably linux.
Cheers!

Have you disabled "Play Alone" in Settings > Player..?
If it's enabled it suppose to be happen.
If it happens even when "Play Alone" is enabled, then Maps doesn't request audio focus. When some other app requests for audio focus, MX Player will pause till the app releasing the audio focus.

More volume steps for MX Player?

Is there a way to add more volume steps to MX Player for a more precise volume adjustment?
I'm using the PRO version and also MIUI.

Hi,
It's not possible as of now. We will forward your feedbacks to our developers.
Thank you, I bought mx player because it's so good, but it could still be even better! Definitely would recommend to my friends
Indeed, currently, the app has its own volume manager, so that volume step is 6% by 6% and depending on what you're playing, this 6% step is either too low or too high sometimes.
Would be great if it could match the system volume settings instead.

Recommendation Row in Android TV

Hi,
VLC automatically adds recommendation row to Android TV main screen while MX Player does NOT have this option.
Is it possible to enable it?
THank you.
