Yes and bootloader will be locked too.
Use naptime.
Try Uninstalling unnecessary apps.
Try different kernel.

Help, about a app and root please. Nexus 5

Today I decided to go back to stock. And so I did and the i rooted.
But i inatalled GMusicFS and it says i don't have root, even having SuperSU and other APPs say I have. Can anybody help me with that?
Personally I think it's an issue with the app. It does not appear it's been updated for marshmallow.

Any Xposed installer are ad blocker working with root?

Do anybody got ad blocker and Xpose installer to work? And if where are the files?
It won't work without write access to system. There isn't proper root available for this phone yet

I do have the mate 9 in moonlight silver US version. I just recently unrooted with SuperSu and flashed stock recovery due to not having proper root so we can write to system. I also have a one+ 3t because I do enjoy flashing Roms and kernels, so I have to mate 9 put away until we can do such.

I'm with you bro. Almost shelved my Note 4 which is like the device that will never die with great devs, but the Mate 9, even with partial root to at least use Titanium gets me by with Nova and a few other added apps. (It One 3T is a non-sloucher I can see being a prime device to work and play). I have to admit it is the first phone I have used as a daily without real root since Android 3.x.

It is a great device but I've been rooting and modding since the first T-Mobile G1. I tried to go at it just as is but the itch just got me back. Lol. I'm keeping a close eye on the mate 9 forums like everyday checking to see about progress. If we could get AOSP on this beast I'd be too happy.

Way cool. And the superuser.zip is the item mentioned in the OP, or did you find a way to substitute? I think our biggest hang up was the encrypted partition along with the access controls are the file level (but I'm a big novice on the dev type work.)

It Does work, But you need to reboot your device a bunch of times, and set the battery optimisation for the particular app off.
first time running the app will cause it to FC, this happened 2 times for me, just open the app again and you'll be able to customise it

Cool, It Does that sometimes too, I got it working that way on Custom ROMs though. Glad to know
Works fine for me as well (T-Mobile converted to International, 9.5.10, obviously rooted, stock kernel & Magisk). I do have battery restriction on. I did have one force close at one point, but otherwise works as intended.

you dont need to disable the battery optimisation, because the app only changes system files one time.
Just set the picture, press enter, reboot and open the app once. Now you should see the new image.
It doesn't work for me, after I reboot there is no change. I tired rebooting 4 times now and still nothing
Edit: I spoke to soon lol. It worked finally

Disable Apps Permanently

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to disable/uninstall system apps without root. In this specific case, I would like to remove YouTube and Google Duo, however, I tried to disable + force stop the apps but they reappear after a while. Next I tried to disable them via ADB but even then they reappeared like nothing happened.
I'm currently using a OnePlus 7 Pro on the latest OOS, I rather not root the phone just yet. As I don't want to void my UK warranty.
Any suggestions would be welcome

Do you need root or just an unlocked bootloader? What happened to the dev and the links, they all seem to be gone.
Once you install the beta you need to root. You cant install kernel without being root first.
Developer doesn't use xda for whatever reason. He was here but left. He is on telegram.
I had Beta 2 + MVK running - it was LEGIT however I had the MyQ app (opens/closes garage door) not working so I went back to just Beta...any thoughts?

Yes - I tried several different OS, Beta 1 , Beta 2 and regular stock - adding root and the app would work. As soon as I added the kernel the MyQ app wouldn't work.
I noticed MyQ was updated just 4 days before the new Beta 2 release, so I went back to the MyQ Sept build - works like a champ.
So I have no idea what the actual issue is but isolating it via different OS builds etc. something changed in the Oct release of the MyQ app. The actual problem is beyond anything I know of but I'm running now
Also - that's the only app that had that issue. I'm more minimal in the amount of apps I use so it's just 1 data point and don't know what the issue could be but it was driving me nuts lol.
Does anyone know what happened to the Telegram group?

Where can I find a tutorial on MVK kernel flashing and configuration?
It's pretty str8 forward...no settings/config. You can flash with about any kernel tool. I recommend EX Kernel tool, or free options like AnyKernel or Kernel Flasher or FKM. Just make SURE u match the correct ver. with the A13 rom u r on. If you're running a beta, make sure u flash the corresponding beta release! Just common sense type things. There's most always someone than can help on the telegram chan. if u need clarification on sumthin'...
