Anyone know if it's possible to have a custom sound effect for when the pop up camera opens/closes?
Seen another make of phone were this can be done, think it'd be cool as well!

Since the flash LED is almost useless for the camera application... maybe someone can come up with a small flashlight apllication for it in a touchflo/diamond layout?

I tried it yesterday. It installs fine but nothing happens when you run it.

Just tried v0.3. Sorry to report it does not work But I'm sure someone on this forum will have a flashlight working for us soon enough I think that's all the camera light is really good for anyway.
anyone have an answer for this?
Just wondering... of course, as usual: "after the fact":
The battery on my car was dead, and yesterday I planned to rplace it with a new one... However, in my garage the lighting is awful, and I could'nt find the screws and bolts... ended up calling the mechanics, to come and boost my battery....
An app like this would have been very usefull... would have saved me about 40 Euro's...

You're assuming people will bother to search and read a little before asking questions. Don't.
And look at the dates of the posts in this thread...

ok tried it and its VERY slow. I guess something else will come up soon.
Sorry for the same question but this thing really bothers me. When I take a picture under direct sunshine (1-2 feet away from the object), the photo is distorted (letters, lines etc). But if I take the same picture without direct sunshine, it's fine. See attached pics for comparison (Same paper, one under sun, one no sun) You may want to enlarge the pictures to see the difference). The brighter the sun, the more distorted picture. Not sure if it's only me?

Did you really have to create a new thread for this? Why not continue posting in the original thread? Im sure this thread will eventually get closed...
Have you tried what I mentioned in your other thread?

Thanks for your reply. I was not able to upload pic without sun for comparison so I created a new thread. Or maybe there is a way to do it?
I tried to change it to Daylight, same problem. Can anyone try yours? If my phone is defective, I need to call HTC for a replacement. Thanks.

You actually now have 3 threads about this same problem.
If its been bothering you since February, then why not call HTC and have them do a warranty exchange?
No one else seems to have that problem.

I saw that posted from a google search.
But it wont fix the sounds in HDR mode.
Also if you look at the dates of those postings they are made before the v4.4.4 came out.
Thank you for the input.

Its the same in any version
You'll also have to decompile Google Camera if you want to remove the sound on HDR+ mode.

Meh, I don't like the sounds either. I suppose it's because I don't like the mimic sound of a physical hardware shutter. HDR is at least a beep.

As far as I know the sound in the stock ROM is the same as the HDR+ beep, I think the shutter mimicking sound is an AOSP thing lol. I don't like the AOSP sounds
I looked into this for a while and found that there's no easy way. I'd say the best option is a tasker profile to turn your phone to silent when you launch the Camera app and reset it when you close the camera app.

ROTF If that was the case I really doubt the camera of choice would be a Nexus 5....
Worth the smile tho
