I'm a new convert from Moto phones and I'm loving this Pixel!
The one thing I miss is that on the Moto phones, once the bootloader is unlocked, there is a way to override the logo partition in the phone by customizing the images in the "logo" partition (logo.bin). That image would hide the ugly "bootloader unlocked" screens that show up on startup. Is there a way to do this on the Pixel series? I can't even seem to find the logo partition to get started with...
I was wondering about this myself. I also just converted from Moto to Pixel and would like to get rid of the bootloader unlocked screen.
BTW, the Pixel is the easiest to root phone that I've ever had.

Anyone run into problems with their phone if yourselves have modified it? im getting a Droid turbo tomorrow, unlocked the bootloader on my moto x and i flashed back to stock but im unable to relock the bootloader and when it boots up it gives the Warning for a unlocked bootloader, anyone think im screwed or not? im sure they wouldnt boot to the bootloader just to check the status of the bootloader but the Warning kinda bothers me, Complete stock, nothing else about it.
Just been unlocking the wife's moto g3, and came across this thread for getting rid of the unlock splash warning, and wondered if this was in any way relevant or a good starting point to do similar on the honor 8, by someone a little more technically capable than me...

Hi, the unlocked bootloader warning is located inside the fastboot partition, since there's so little documentation about it I wouldn't risk modifying it. (even if you wanted to, fastboot.img is 'obfuscated')
I unlocked my phone but can't prevent the unlocked bootloader warning from popping up. Is it possible to have a different load screen instead? I was able to do this on my Moto G5 Plus with a new .img file I think. The warning still comes but it's masked with a more appropriate Motorola logo.
Thanks!

Is there any way to revert back to factory settings then? I'd rather not use a custom rom if I have to look at that warning, and it would be useful if I want to sell the phone.
You must relock the bootloader.
OK, how do I do that? The problem is that I have SlimRom installed, so I don't know if that's possible with SlimRom. I just want to go back to factory. Is there a guide?
Thanks.
You must go back to stock for being able to correctly lock the bootloader without problems, here's a guitar about how to do that https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/how-to-to-stock-emui-5-0-flashing-twrp-t3679985
I am 99.9% certain that I will be upgrading to a Pixel 4a in the near future. Naturally, I will want to root. Is it possible to change/create custom boot logos/ splash screens after unlocking the bootloader? I have been able to do this with my multiple Moto phones. Unfortunately, my LG G6 was/is stuck with the hideous Unlocked Bootloader warning. While I can live with it on the Pixel as well, it would be nice to be able to change it, if possible.
Thanks!

I don't think it's possible. Bootloader on Pixel phones has a menu included... don't really think you'll be able to do that, or at least I don't know how to.
No, and you'll get a bootloader unlocked message at every boot. However, you can skip it with a double click of the power button. This is the same with any modern phone tbh. My samsung galaxy tab S 10.5 has the bootloader unlocked and it doesn't look like anything is changed, except for the lineageOS boot logo
I have a Motorola Moto G stylus 5G XT2131-1 (MetroPCS) that's rooted-magisk/twrp-installed/custom-kernel installed. I was wondering if there was any way to change boot animation and maybe get rid of the annoying unlocked bootloader screen? Any help is much appreciated!
I haven't seen anyone be able to do this since the G7 Power days because of the super partition space situation. You would definitely need R/W access to get it done.
