What is this????MHA-L09 - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Go this Huawei Mate 9 (MHA-L09) with these strange locked screen, try to unlock and it looks like touch screen not respondin, but i tried to hard reset and the touch was workin but after the hard reset finish it came back to the same screen, now i tryin to flash via sd-card and dload folder but it shows me error, i tryin again with different ROM.
Any ideas? I didn't know how to call this problem, first time i encounter this weird locked screen.

It's the screen that shows when you use a cover case. Those cases have a magnet will cause it to go to that screen. If you use a car mount that requires you to put a magnet on the back of the phone, then that might be why it's showing that screen. I've experienced this myself because I use a car mount with a magnet.

[Q] Screen Black But Touch Buttons Lit?

I thought I had a bricked infuse...but after unnecessarily removing the screen/components from the plastic casing and reassembling it, I tried recovering it again. I was FINALLY able to get it into download mode and then heimdal one click it back to stock. Everything went smoothly, but now when it "turns on" (I'm guessing), only the touch buttons at the bottom light up and respond to touch. The screen is absolutely black, except for the random FLASH that lasts a quarter of a second whenever I pull the battery and try rebooting it.
Has anyone ever had this problem before? I'm at a point where when it's on,( or at least I think it's on?), the touch buttons will light up and seem to respond to my touch (dim when touched). No vibrations of any sort though.
Please help
PS: If it is of any use..I used CM9 before all of this happened and I initially attempted to wipe it back to stock multiple times in the past, each time resulting in a frozen ODIN wipe. When I disconnected the phone during the process of wiping it, it no longer turned on or responded to charging the battery (I now have an external battery charger).
Also..when it is connected to my windows laptop, I get an error saying the USB device is malfunctioning.
At the very least it sounds like your internal drive is messed up. Try using the back to stock again - you could even try Odin again. However the problem could be more severe than that. You may want to make sure you reconnected all the components properly. One slightly loose connection can cause problems like you're having. I'm thinking that you might have a loose screen connector.

Also.may have something to do with that...not saying it is but that's a possibility, if you were to.rough with something or gave off a static discharge (computer motherboards are extremely sensitive to static...I'd assume mobile motherboards are too...)
Anyways try running Odin/heimdall again...

My Infuse is doing the same thing, black screen, but touch buttons on. Every once in a while the lock screen pops up and you can get into the phone, but then it goes black again. My phone is not rooted and we haven't done anything except install some programs, but nothing recently. It only happens intermittently, so I think this may be a hardware related problem, but it would be great if anyone has any other ideas on the cause or a fix. Otherwise I suppose we'll have to see about having it repaired or get a new phone.

Successfully replaced touch screen, now not working and dock not working

I managed to successfully replace the touch screen with help from this thread, everything was working fine but I had left the protective covers on just in case. I then took everything apart again to remove the covers and stick everything together properly, put everything back together and now the touch screen doesn't work, neither does the dock.
The only thing I did differently from the first time I put it back together (with the covers on) was that I connected the touch screen ribbon cables last, this time I did the battery connector last.
Might I have borked the touch PCB? When I first booted up after putting it back together the second time the only thing that happened was I got a message saying "Updating touch firmware" over and over again, and I would then have to reboot and get the same message.
Hope it's not something more serious.

S6 - Water Splash Overheating - then dead!

Hi,
I have been searching across all forums to find a similar issue someone else has faced but couldn't find an answer.
Surprisingly a small splash of water on my phone S6 - 920F, caused it to display - Phone Overheating and will switch off.
Post that i dried the phone, kept in rice - did all the standard stuff for 2 days. Then when i switched it on - no response. Won't enter recovery mode - but only entering download mode - great! Not dead i presumed.
I tried to load stock firmware but once odin requests reboot it goes blank - no samsung screen nothing....no recovery either...then i tried installing TWRP, still no recovery. Have tried installing the stock firmware multiple times..still getting no samsung logo, no recovery screen - Only download mode works.
Any ideas? Any possibility I can still get this phone to work?
Thanks in advance!
had the same problem i solved the problem by buying a new m0therboard for ebay they go around 50 dollars they exist in amazon too but they are a bit more expensive around 70 dollars and i installed it which was way more easy than i thought and just flash the local os and done
oh so some hardware is surely damaged! Here I thought a phone switching on in download mode means its all good!
Thanks from the prompt reply!
Open back cover and with a magnifier glass look carefully after green marks of corrosion between electric components. It would be a good idea to use an old toothbrush for gently clean the motherboard and maybe some alcohol too.
I had the same issue. I tried wireless charger and phone worked, just normal charging doesn´t worked.
Water and electronics = toast

Mi Mix 3 Bootloop after screen replacement

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to mobile operating system troubleshooting in general. I'm hoping to gain some insight into an issue I'm having.
I broke the screen on my mi mix 3 and after waiting for 2 months it finally arrived from Shenzhen. Yesterday I disassembled the phone, connected the new screen, turned it on, and it just went into a bootloop. I've never changed any part of the operating system on the phone before so I just assumed something was making a poor connection. I unplugged all the leads and plugged them back in again, checked that everything was firmly in place, and ended with the same result.
Fastboot will run sometimes for 10+ minutes and then the phone will just shut off, normal booting it will switch from "Mi" to "MIX" and the animation at the bottom of the screen will freeze after a couple clicks and it will loop back to restarting (but twice it has just ended with an all white screen). Rebooting from Mi Recovery mode results in the same.
From what I've seen I'll just need to follow this and flash the phone : https ://c.mi .com/thread-2504118-1-1.html?t=1590725045909
But my question, is there any possible way to try to fix this issue without loosing all my data and without using a back door method that may just brick the phone?
Thanks for any help, btw I still have the back glass off (I've tried with the fingerprint scanner plugged in, nothing) just in case it could somehow be a hardware issue.
So I've given up on trying to save my data, I don't really care much about that to be honest. I just really like this phone and would like to use it. I tried to flash the phone using Miui's official instructions but I can't unlock the bootloader because I can't download the app Miui's flash tool is requiring me to download on the phone to authorize it.
I guess I'll keep looking for a work around.

I changed my display too and it's bootlooping. Did you solve this problem?
I changed my Display too...everything worked fine when I tested it. I unplugged it again to clean the phone and to bring on the glue..when I had the Screen on I restarted and had a black screen...so tried to remove the screen which then just broke...so I ordered a new one and a new display flex cable - I didn't glue the screen yet because I either experience black screens when the screen gets pushed against the backplate or the phone ends in a bootloop -> for the bootloop thingy I just waited for about 10 minutes and then it started normally so there must be something with replacement screens...I don't know whats going on -.-
Hi
Has anyone managed to get this fixed?
The screen works initially but after a while it goes blank, reboot I get the Mix logo not mix 5G. The replacement is a LCD.
Looks like it is stuck in bootloop as inserting sim does phone does not ring when I call it nor front face camera clunk when I slide it

"Hard" bricked MediaPad T5 AGS2-W09 - only fastboot no screen black

Hello !
While I'm here reading for a few weeks (not full time though... thanks to my sanity), I have a Huawei MediaPad T5 AGS2-W09.
A few month ago I installed Lineage OS on it, but I wasn't happy at all with the smoothness of it. Gave me errors, was lagging a lot, well I wanted to get back to EMUI.
So I tried to flash it back to stock ROM through TWRP, and from there I had my first "hard brick".
No screen, no response from the device, except that vibration saying it's starting.
I discovered that it's booting to fastboot, but still with no screen.
I tried multiple solution, and I found out that the Unbrick method from Multi-Tool worked ! I got back to a screen and Fastboot and even TWRP !
But... from there I tried to flash back a rom from TWRP, and now I'm back to my hard brick... (I should stick with what's simply working, I know.).
And now, I tried maybe 20 times to "Unbrick" with Multi-Tool, and I can't get back to have a screen lighting up with at least a logo or something.
I tried to erase through fastboot, flash manually all files from UPDATE.APP, tried different firmware version, and I'm out of ideas...
Multi-Tool in Fastboot mode shows :
Filmware version : nothing OR EMUI 8 ... .178 (C431)
Device name : AGS2-W09
Oeminfo : hw/eea
Serial N : F........
IMEI : F....... (same as serial)
Bootloader state : UNLOCKED
Battery voltage:
I ordered a Funky Huawei credit, but if I can't even start to erecovery with a screen, I don't see how I can perform that update...
Thanks for any help !!
hi even i am also faceing same issue can anyone help me

[moved from HarmonyOS upgrade thread]
As a side note on the black screen some are facing:
The ribbon cable going into the screen is very sensible. First time I've reassembled the tablet did not turn on the screen (I could see the backlight but all was black).
So I've reopened and disconnected the cable from both ends: on the LCD screen's connector you have to pull the white lever up from the other side (opposing cable entrance) and cleaned the cable's connetors it with alcohol.
While mounting I've left the tablet in bootloader mode to see how the screen reacts while assembling it and .... it flickers alot. Infact after 2nd try the screen remained on, but slightly bending the tablet diagonally turned it of or made it flicker.
So I've reopened the table the 3rd time and done some heavy modding: added electrical duct tape near the batter (on the plastic) case under the cable, added duct tape under the cable on the LCD entry, duct tape over the connector (where there was a small yellowish piece before)
Most importantly I've removed the black foam from the back of the LCD which was pressing the cable (near the entry in the white connetor). I did it by using a cutter to (very) lightly make a trace on the foam (we do not want to pierce the aluminium back of the LCD) and used my fingers to rub it off.
The 4th reassembly was almost perfect, it did flicker once when snapping in a clip but no more issues when trying to bend tabled diagonally or pressing with force on some areas of the screen.
Also: never use metallic tools to open this tablet, only plastic cards, your nails if they hold, plastic poker cards, etc.
