- Corrections of architecture, correction at assembly
- recovery.fstab is updated
- Synchronization with source codes

very interesting and helpful. it seem look similar with Oppo A83/A1 device in some specification, using MT6763T chipset. I wondering, can I ported TWRP for Oppo A83 based on this thread?

FYI
I wanted to chime in and say that all your efforts are greatly appreciated!!!
Hopefully, we will have some good, fully functional ROM in the near future with a good camera app. Keep up the good work.

Bros, I haven't tried installing this recovery yet. But if you've followed OP's guide to flash, after powering down, try holding vol UP + POWER. You should see a black screen with small fonts.
Use VOL UP to navigate, VOL DOWN to select.
If you select recovery and see the usual recovery, use VOL UP or DOWN to navigate, POWER to select, in which case it means that TWRP was not installed.
Not sure if this will work for you but I hope it helps.
Edit..
@kiruha_21 - to get to recovery/fastboot/normal screen, it should be back VOL UP (+) and POWER. First post mentioned VOL (-). Maybe I'm wrong. If I am, my apologies.

hi, I have now finally the A5 pro and would like to use the TWRT. How can I unlock the bootloader?

Reboot into bootloader (fastboot mode) (type "adb reboot-bootloader")
Your phone should now reboot into the bootloader (Little green android logo in the middle of the screen)
Flash the recovery.img (type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img")
(*) Now boot into the recovery (type "fastboot boot recovery.img")
(*) Mount /system partition (In TWRP go to Mounts and tick System)
(*) In TWRP open File Manager, go to /system and rename recovery-from-boot.p to recovery-from-boot.p.bak
Finally, reboot!
Done!
* You should do these steps only if you have Lollipop firmware (to prevent from TWRP being overwritten by stock recovery on each boot)

TWRP 2.8.7.1 (18.0 MB)

CN Devices
There is limited support for CN devices although most features (backup/restore, etc...) should work fine.
I don't own CN device, therefore I can't "add" full support for them.

Yes, for now. There is still no way of unlocking the bootloader.
to unlock the bootloader take a look here
On K920 CN version I can't backup some addtional partitions
ROM: ROM VibeUI_2.5_1526_5.574.1_ST_K920
TWRP: K920_TWRP_2.8.6.1_LP
I can mount: System, Persist, Cache, Data, Modem & OTG
but NO NvRam! The Preload is available, but not checkable
I can backup: Aboot, Boot, Recovery, System, Persist,
No modem neither nvram
Uploaded 2.8.7.0
Lolipop 5.0.2 here. Rooted Z2 Pro, unlocked boot loader but still do not understand how to install twrp. No clear procedure ......
Have you read the first post incl the instruction "How to flash"?
I know it's not that straightforward. You have to have adb and fastboot installed somewhere, then copy the .img file there and execute those commands in cmd line from that location.
One thing I forgot to mention is that you have to delete recovery-from-boot.p file (i think it's in /system) before booting into android, otherwise your custom recovery will get replaced with the stock one.
I'll try to rewrite the guide tomorrow.

Try to be polite and not just the "smart" guy. Electry was so kind to give some explanations ......
Confirm problem
I have the Chinese version of K920.
Everything was ok until confirming the system/recovery.from.boot.p file rename.
I can not confirm. I should swipe to confirm, but it do not work. And when I unfortunately touched the power button, the whole operation was locked. Now I have a kind of an Icon in the lower left part of the screen parly hidden. It is a padlock and a text saying "...t to Unlock".
How to solve this?
Hi Electry,
Thanks for twrp and all your works.
I need to upgrade my phone but with twrp i can't, do you have stock recovery image?
The tutorial is ok, everything is working fine, but i don't now how to enter the google ui style (in developer options switching between Lenovo UI style and Google UI style, is not possible now, as recovery option). After switching, nothing happends, just rebooting recovery TWRP mode. After that, what to do?

Unfortunately, switching between UIs is feature of stock recovery so clicking on that button in Settings won't do anything. I made a simple script for this -HERE-, just flash it in TWRP (and tell me if it works for you).
It's working! Thanks
Installed script. After reboot device turns to pure Android. In order to change to Lenovo UI, you have to run script again !!!
Well, that's the purpose of the script. I can't really make that button in Settings work with custom recovery.
If you want to switch UI, you'll have to flash that .zip each time. It is not that hard.
Something's wrong with "3. Boot into recovery.img (fastboot boot recovery.img)" (One-Time boot).
Nothing happends, message: wating for device...
hi,
i am using "lenovo k920pro, cn version, android lollipop s271 and stock recovery".
cn version. dont eu version.
for this device "twrp recovery" is required.
is there that can help?
thank you.
i have a problem with 271 upgrade. Now after wiping cache when android boot and appear "starting app x of y" it takes little times and numbers runs quickly. When finishes booting appear an error "storage space is running out" or somthing like that. With 246 never appened. I have to format again to solve this problem. Why is this happening now?
i was having difficulties with command line on my pc,so i flash recovery easily with Flashify apk.works like a charm!ofcourse i have unlock bootloader first!

About Team win recovery project
TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. We also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.
Team Win was originally formed to work on porting WiMAX to CM7 for the HTC EVO 4G. After our work on the EVO 4G we wanted to work on a project that would work on more devices than just the EVO 4G and we settled on working on a recovery. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.

Because the other versions of recovery is made for android 9 and 8 so you probably in android 10 that's why and the twrp 3.5.0 is made for android 10 so let's come to the mounting part so what you have to do is download any custom rom from nowhere then go to the recovery and wipe the cache and data system vendor then reboot into twrp recovery again then flash the custom rom then when it's done boot it up now you can mount anything you went but you cannot mount system and others in stock rom i did the same with my realme 2 pro

Wipe the data system vendor and then reboot into twrp again then your data is decrypted but not permanently so what you have to do is after the wipes done then install any custom rom for your devices that's all now your data is decrypted

I have the A115F which is same as your device.
After flashing the tar file, press power and volume up, then release power at logo and keep vol up pressed until you see twrp logo.
hopefully it will work???
have you tried any GSI project treble Rom in your A11
if yes then please tell which one????
i tried it did not work because to stop downlaoding mode need combination of volume down plus power key instead of volume up ..there is not any twrp ....
" press power and volume up, then release power at logo and keep vol up pressed until you see twrp logo" again wrong
please help

If you disable auto reboot from odin, then you can reboot using vol down and power, after screen goes black press vol up and power until you got to boot logo. then keep vol up.

Ok. o you pick it from testing branch? And how do you install LOS? I'm tryin' with ADB Sideload but on my SM-A115F it's failed to start (I'm using TWRP that you had placed in this topic.)

Yes, it is correct solution!
1. Install a new (latest) firmware /at current moment it is SM-M115F_M115FXXU2BUD9_R(Android 11)_SEK_Factory Rom (5 File)_20210517/.
2. Go to download mode (screenshots in attachment), start Odin, uncheck "Auto Reboot in "Options" and in "AP" put patched file from attachment to this post (magisk_patched-23000_Av3SK.tar).
3. Press start.
4. After finish go to Recovery Mode and run "Wipe data/Factory Reset" and "Wipe cache partition"
5. Reboot.
6. Install Magisk-v23.0.
Enjoy!
N.B. Patched file in attachment work ONLY with firmware that specified above (SM-M115F_M115FXXU2BUD9_R)!!!

You flashed it??
Yes, I successfully flashed it, but the result is that the phone doesn't work, I've formatted the data and wiped the cache
I downgraded my latest firmware to android 10 stock rom (which had bit security level 2 because i couldn't downgrade to versions with bit security less than 2) to make this work, then I was able to flash the recovery by flashing vbmeta first then tried flashing 3.4.x.x as well as 3.5.x.x twrp recovery... I had a problem with /data partition but it was solved by doing nand erase in odin when flashing stock rom... but anyways I don't know if the problem is with modded twrp or unofficial lineageos cause in both versions of twrp I get stuck in bootloop on the lineageos loading...
Hope this helps anyone who comes here like me...

Works a treat, thanks. Installed unofficial lineage with this.
However, I'm trying to get Magisk to work. From what I read at Magisk's howtos, I need to patch the recovery img as this device does not have any boot ramdisk.
I tried patching this twrp image, but this leads to a blank screen (and a hung phone I can only reset with 7sec power+vol up + vol down) after the boot logo, no matter whether I boot without holding buttons or with holding power+vol up shortly like stated in the Magisk guide.
I can still get into twrp by holding the vol up longer.
Can anybody help how to get this twrp and Magisk working nicely together?

Hi, no. Just flash Magisk.apk via TWRP and reboot to system > magisk symbol popup, click on it > install > open > done.
Thanks a lot. Works as expected!
So are the instructions at https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya40.html wrong?
I think teamwin should be notified then. I can create an issue, just wanted to know from someone more knowledgeable than me whether I misunderstood something.
Probably add this to the instructions in the first post, this might help others as well.
For everyone where have no Telegram.
