Ok, thanks. I had a feeling that was the answer but I wanted to be sure someone else concurred. I'm running with that for development at the moment.

High Brightness Mode Widget

Hello, I'm looking for testers for High Brightness Mode Widget: mod edit: link removed
have promo codes for the first five people to post here and willing to report back to me.
It will make your screen extremely bright at the touch of a button. However, it requires root.
Works on other Samsung devices with AMOLED screens, so it will probably work on the s7, but I need confirmation.
can test it if u want
got a G935F , Exynos Version
I can test. Pm me
Sent from my Blackberry Bold
Can test also

Thanks all, it's confirmed working.
I will send a promo code to @manager77 and one other lucky person tonight.
is there any way to use something like this if your not rooted. Verizon will never allow root on this device

Sorry, it's a hardware setting. The widget can't apply it without root.
Geez, too bright for me xD, probably perfect in summer, is this brighter than the auto brightness max?

Yes, it's really bright. I wouldn't use it indoors. It's for direct sun, or bright environments like beaches or snowy areas.
One promo code left, if anyone wants it.
made some test and it's really bright......but overall it's for direct sun.....good app...recommend it!!

What do you mean? I've heard that there is some issue with brightness on Samsung but I don't know what it is.
I'm pretty sure this widget does something different than you think. It kicks the screen into a different hardware mode that is extremely bright. Much brighter than turning the brightness slider up all the way.

Well i can't suggest you mate as this is individual choice and preference on UI, SW, camera, build, design etc.
Had this been a 200 USD phone I can recommend but this is costing much higher or double and OP and this are neck to neck but personally, I liked the phone and camera is incredibly good.
I have one...
Does your view 10 warms up occasionally.
Mine only does when it's out in the sun and I'm using internet on mobile data.
On that app CPU-Z, it reaches around 38-39 deg Celcius in the battery temp section.
Is that normal...?
Or mine's having a problem?
I'm trying to activate LDAC for my WH-1000XM2/B for a while but I can't.
Seems like Huawei/Honor really did not implement LDAC for the View 10 or am I just dumb?
It's not even present in the dev options.
Really frustrating me as I bought it as a replacement for my OP3 after I read it had LDAC support out of the box.
Alarm Tone
I'm sorry, but how can I set the alarm tone ?

Go to alarm and click on Ringtone. You have to set the alarm tone for every alarm you have.

That is normal. If used under sunlight then all the phones gets warm.
If you use on WiFi then temp isnlower than the one used under mobile data.
Hows the temperature in your area? Is it around or higher than 30 deg celcius?

Adaptive brightness is too dim

I generally like the adaptive brightness setting on this phone, but I often find it sets itself to the absolute lowest brightness setting on occasions where it seems inappropriate. If there a way to change adaptive brightness so that it keeps the screen a little brighter?

I too experience this. Would love to hear if this is persistent across all users. The adaptive brightness is too dim even in a moderately lit environment.

I did use the search and found the same thread you had linked before... But the workaround is for rooted users only.
Sorry for the trouble. Just wanted to know whether someone has any update on this issue being acknowledged by OnePlus and whether a possible fix is on the way.

No need to get rude dude. Did they mention anything about rooting the phone or installing xposed or Magisk? That being said, guys there are some kernels that can help ir try play store for some available apps.

There won't be a fix, because it isn't an issue
OnePlus does this since the OnePlus 3, and they will keep it.
You really have to root your phone when you want to change it

OnePlus acknowledges the issue and promises an optimization update via OTA in the coming weeks.

Under the Heading "Last but not Least" , first paragraph last sentence addresses about the adaptive brightness.
Could you please share some info on the flickering issue you are referring to ?

Question OP 9 Smallest Width

Hi All! I find everything on the screen is too big on OSS 12. Anyone can recommend a better smallest width setting to make things smaller without screwing up the screen orientation?

Cool, I will give it a shot. I always through due to the aspect ration you can't just put what ever number you like, is this true or false? I have a pretty good eye sight so I can still see small fonts without straining myself.
