What version do I have? - General Questions and Answers

Hi All, not sure if this is the right section for this, apologies if not.?
I have just purchased an android tablet from Amazon and although the spec is good and the tablet is by no means slow I am unsure of what I have. It states version as Android 8.0 although it looks like 7.1, I have used CPU-Z and that also states Android 8.0 but with an API of 25 which I believe is Nougat 7.1.
Everything I look at looks like Nougat, the main reason I decided to take a deeper look at this is the tablet has no option for system updates other than through the developer options, it does not have PIP or the updated notifications and of course the fact it was advertised as Android 8 if it's not then I will send it back.
The details of the tablet are:
Manufacturer KuBi - Android
4G LTE,10 Inch Tablet, Android 8.0,Deca-Core Processor, 2.8GHz,6GB RAM 64GB ROM, 1920x1200 IPS Screen HD,Dual SIM, Dual Camera,WiFi,GPS,Bluetooth,Fire 10.1" (Silver)
Thanks in advance.

Fixed
OK found it actually has 7.1 Nougat all other specs are good.

SOWILL OIOI S7 Android Tablet / 1024X600 Capacitive, 800MHz, 512 RAM cheap tablet

Got this SOWILL OIOI S7 2011 Android tablet yesterday. Wondering is there any Custom Roms for it?
System specs below.
Because it's a really nice tablet. Great comfortable, quality body design with a nice 1024px capacitive screen and WiFI, USB, HDMI out, even some decent speakers and mic with a front camera.
Though I believe it could be even better with Gingerbread or some custom ROM. Just don't have a clue what ROMs would be compatible with this device..
My OIOI S7 video review, though in Lithuanian language

And some photos, info

do you have any news about update rom for this model?? the chinese website is a mess!!
There is an Android update, though I haven't tried it myself, because my tablet runs fine as it is. Just rooted it and that's all.

Identify this Chinese ICS Tablet... (Updated with pics and specs)

UPDATED WITH NEW FINDINGS. STILL DUNNO WHAT BRAND IT IS THOUGH.
G'day. I thought I'd go around and hunt on eBay for a cheap ICS android tablet for kicks. I found the one below for a respectable $200. I know that isn't that cheap, but hey, at least it allows me to rip it apart if I'm not happy with it. I've seen some 7" ICS tabs are actually like dev boards hooked up to a LCD and battery... rather amusing (and goes to show how lazy the chinese makers are).
Was wondering if anyone knew about this particular tab.

So yeah. Question is, what tablet have I got? The listing URL below says Brand: EKEN, but I doubt that - EKEN only made crappy VT8505 tabs, didn't they? The listing in question: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300699439891.
Cheers!
中国200美元的平板多了去!配置高价格便宜!
One of my friend has one if this, and it's terrible. they wont let u install market apps and etc. The android version on it is terrible and it's better to wait a lil bit til the prices drops from asus tab or galaxy tab than get a "ICS" tab that will never work properly,
EKEN Has this A10 Powered at android-sale
All A10 Processor Device are main able to install google-play script to get market to download apps and games as I9100
Okay crew, check it out. My tablet has arrived, and interestingly enough, it's nowhere near what it said was it was going to be in the images department. I'm updating the first post with new pictures, but yeah, it's interesting.
Seems to be using a CraneBoard under the bonnet. At least Android System Info says so, you can check out the details for yourself here.
Opened it up and it's not a craneboard. It's actually an Allwinner CPU for sure.
However, I did manage to get Clockwork Recovery running on it which makes it easier to fool around with.

My thoughts on the Lenovo Tab3 7.

I wasn't sure where to post this, since a board for the Tab3 7 doesn't exist.
Anyway, I wanted to give my thoughts on this tablet.
First of all, I'm amazed that it's running Android Marshmallow considering how cheap it is, at $99. But looking through the specifications, it listed that the tablet only has 1GB of RAM.. that makes me cringe a little. 1GB of RAM with Android 6.0? I'm not too familiar with Marshmallow, but there's probably going to be some lag every once and a while. Next, the 1024x600 display. I mean, it's far from bad, but it's a little low considering the standard for today is at least 1280x800. Other than that, there's not really any downside to this tablet. If anyone has a Tab3 7, please tell me how performance is on the device,
Thanks!

Anyway to make an old x86 Tablet on Android 4.1 better?

So my mother owns a locally made tablet named "Condor TRA 901G" it's basically a "Ramos i9" with a different label as a name, both have the exact same specs which are Intel Atom Z2580 Quad Core, 2GB of ram, 16GB rom, 8.9" 1920x1200 screen, 5mp and 2mp cameras.
On specs the tablet looks pretty good for everyday use but the only downside is the software, its Android 4.1 is just very very bad... it lags, it freezes on many Facebook Messenger tasks, it warps the images from the camera on anything but the default camera app and the battery life is so bad on it, the company who made it have abandoned it, only released one update that made the tablet a little bit more useful then how it used to be and nothing else.
So what can I do with a x86 tablet with these specs? can I root it? is there any custom firmware that are compatible with it? or can I install Windows 8.1 or 10 on it? is there any links that can help?
Thank you so much.

P20 Fake android tablet

I recently bought an Android tablet on Aliexpress (caveat emptor), with quite high specs (screen res, Android 11, 12GB + 256 GB etc). It was extremely sluggish and I couldn't get many of my favourite apps to work on it. So I checked with a Fake Device Test app. It turns out that the screen resolution is much lower (1280 x 800), the memory is much lower, etc. The android is reported as 5.1 The processor is ARMv7,
SOC is MT6592
I have managed to get an old version of Netflix to work, and an ebook reader, so it is not completely a doorstop.
My question is, how can I upgrade. Maybe to Lineage, or some other ROM.
Has anyone ever come across this or similar devices? Any other ideas?
Thanks.
