I haven't seen it there.
I saw on several websites that American models of the Samsung A20 have already received the quarterly update for September. I mean the September Security update. I am on A205F and I am yet to receive it. Anyone who has received it yet? I got the June one but zero news about the September one.

No. The changelog said "improved the security of your device", so i guess it's just an update to the latest security patch.
So far i only noticed that the Play Store is now compatible with OneUI's night mode (dark theme). But seems like it isn't related to the update.

That's only a security upgrade.
I'm not going to bother downloading until they release a stock Android Q
Latest beta version of Google app is also reacting to OneUI Dark Theme (a little bit bugged though)

When I updated to the September patch my antutu score dropped alot. Used to get 108k now it's 90k. What do you get on gsi's?
Wish there was a way to downgrade but on the us model so locked bootloader.

Can you test again on the updated antutu v8. The scoring system changed. Now getting 120k.
Maybe that's why my score dropped since antutu was changing things under the hood. Can anyone still on the June patch confirm this?

Nice so it probably was on antutu. Would have been weird since it was just a security patch.

Antutu tells me I have an Exynos 7885 but Samsung tells me I should have a 7884.
The clock speeds I have are 2 cores at 1.6 and 6 cores at 1.35 which match the 7884.
If I actually have 7885 I should be able to get 2.2 and 1.6 with a custom kernel.
Interesting!!!
@physwizz Most hardware reporting software just reads off what is in the build.prop which is where it is getting the 7885 from in this case. The matter of whether or not a 14nm SoC could genuinely only run at 1.6/1.4GHz or whether it is artificially throttled to fill a market segment (most likely) is what we need to find out.
I had a look in the dt.img and it seems to be what sets up all the peripheral hardware (gpu, mem, camera etc.) and possibly the cpu itself. Maybe this function is now removed from the "generic" Exynos kernel?

XT1572 already has the May update. I want to say that none of the android makers in the world pushes the monthly updates in a monthly schedule. If you care about monthly updates and security patches you should go to buy a Nexus device, or flash custom roms like CM.
The May security patch is rolling out to the XT1575 now.

Is that what the current ota is? Just May patches, not 6.0.1?
I woke up with the notification this morning, but I have custom recovery, xposed, kernel, so I have some work to do to take it.
Anyone remember what service to freeze to kill the update notification? I'm not going to get around to it for a while.

I guess the update is being batched out incrementally. Still showing as up to date on the February security. Disappointed with Lenovo. The 1572 model has 6.0.1 as early as March/April and as of yet no love for the 1575. Still love the phone, but have to wonder about Lenovo and their phone support.

Is the update file out in the wild? I am not bootloader unlocked (so no custom recovery and no root obviously). I will root eventually, but given the main reason for rooting my other phones was to rid then if carrier and manufacturer bloat, I haven't seen the immediate need. While there are little things I miss, they are not a big deal and my warranty stays intact.

What Aida shows it doesn't matter. The Aida is nothing more than a database.
For example: the Exynos 8890 has 10-bit HEVC support, but that does not appear in the documentation itself.

I'm can safely assume it's towards the last week of the month.
Both the 6.1 and 6.1 Plus got the Pie update on the last 2 days October.
So expect the Pie rollout for the 8 and 8 Sirocco to come out by then.

Yeah, I agree and think so too, but I hope they don't roll it by region slowly as they usually do, or at least don't take a long time for regions to get the update so that everybody is happy by mid Dec or so.

I have to say that this HMD's Nokia phone OTA update is a mess. I am still on October security patch through full Android Pie ROM update which is also done OTA. The November security update is nowhere to be seen and you guys are already getting December security patch. What a joke!

It is easy..
After installing the December update, at many places the font has become weird. Shadow and outline has been added to font at several places. It looks out of place. For example, the header for each card in the settings menu, the battery percentage, the time etc. I have attached screenshots. I tried restarting my phone several times doesn't help. Anyone else facing this issue??
EDIT: Actually this change in font has happened everywhere, but is only visible on dark backgrounds or bigger font sizes.

Yes, that is what I did. Sideloaded the Nov update. And immediately after restart, the Dec patch starts to download. This is so weird. Wonder why my phone was stuck with Oct patch (Pie) for so long and no new update found even after countless of times checking for update.
Still no face unlock.Juho had tweeted way back it would come with pie
Looks like the update for our phones is a little late, but is available for previous gen models.

That's because we are special ?
But there seems to be a relevant cause as of why it's late. Changelog speaks of changes/fixes regarding Pixel Wallet. Maybe they'll announce it at the beginning of the upcoming week. And there are a lot of fixes IMHO:

I'd rather wait a week to receive a well-rounded, polished update rather than something half-baked for the sake of releasing it at the originally projected time frame. Absolutely no issue for me!
Well here we are. December 9th, still no update! Wow.

It's available OTA for me but I stopped it, I think I'm gonna try flashing it and maybe I'll end up with a unlocked bootloadt (Verizon)

I tried this, but keep getting installation failed. *shrug*
Whoops, I believe due to custom kernel, lol.

Yeah got the same, but I don't know how to revert to the stock kernel. If someone managed to share a flashable zip, we can flash the stock kernel, remove magisk then install the OTA and flash again magisk + kernel after.

I just got the boot.img from the factory image, fastboot flash boot --slot all boot.img
Installed OTA and re-rooted, flashed FrankenKernel.

That's a lot of words. I like moving pictures with people talking. Easier for the brain.
Just got this update today and it seems to be going well unfortunately I'm missing the photo blur feature on the Google photos app and all apps and software are updated to December update. Plus the photos app specifically updated 6 hours ago so for some reason it's wired but I can't see that feature so I just have to double tap on the option instead of having the suggestion.
Also I don't know how much truth there is to this but apparently Google photos will allow you to share photos in full resolution. But I doubt that effects the uploads. Lastly I heard that this update also brought a brand new Google assistant? It's wired because I already had the brand new assistant when I got my device a few weeks back after I changed my device language to English US.
Please let me know if anyone else has missing features that were supposed to be included in the December update.
