Oneplus 6 issues with 4G - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
So, I have an issue with my Oneplus 6. Sometimes, when I'm on 4G it shows the exclamation mark for mobile data and Internet and other apps show that it is not connected to the internet, but Whatsapp works just fine. What would be the culprit here? The fact that Whatsapp works shows that it is connected to the internet without any issues.
LE: On wi-fi it works flawlessly

check your apn settings to make sure they are set correctly for your carrier

[Q] E-mail + WiFi + Data

Hi, I'm using Energy rom 21914.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.24 in my sprint TP2 since the release and today I'm experiencing a problem:
when connected by WiFi (with max strenght signal also) and trying to send or sync my e-mail, the phone will open a data connection instead of using the wireless one already connected!
The problem is that I have a very very limited data plan and since I'm usually connected by wifi this sucks...
The other apps, weather/opera/etc keep on the wifi connection and the only thing that opens a new data connection is the mail - by the mail tab and by windows live.
I also know that I could turn off the data connections with "Data Controller" or so, but I'm really upset because all was going well until today and now with no apparent reason it occurs this stupid thing!!
Anyone experiencing this or having a solution to get it back to normal?

whatsapp problem

hello
i've installed the whatsapp on my sensation
but in the setup stage where it asks me to insert my phone number
after i do that it tries to connect and fails
error : unable to connect. please try again later
this app worked on my previous android phone
can anyone help ?
Haven't ran into this issue with my reinstall . It did not however send my phone the text I hit send and it acted like it was sending but went past it saying it was verified and let me in the program.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
anyone else ?
No problems with whatsapp whatsoever. Been using it a LOT.
Only problem with Whatsapp for me is that most contact photos do not show, despite being 'linked'. May try to reinstall if I get annoyed enough.
No issues here. I rely on it heavily. Runs just as flawlessly as it did on my iPhone.
I would suggest just trying it from a different location... Sometimes getting in range of a new tower fixes little data issues like that for me. Or try it on Wifi. Or if you were on Wifi, try it on data network... I think you get the idea
Only issue I have with Whatsapp is sometimes it like refuses to refresh whether the contact is online or not and shows them as "Last seen......" and won't push texts through when I know for a fact the person is online. Annoying, as I will send a text expecting it to go through only to look at my phone half an hour later wondering why the person hasn't texted back only to discover a single check by my message

Not being able to use WhatsApp is no fun, so if you are having trouble connecting, keep reading. To start, there are many reasons why you may not be able to connect to WhatsApp, so we have listed a few of the most common reasons.
The most common reason why you cannot connect to WhatsApp is because your phone is not connected to the internet.
To ensure you have a working internet connection, check the following:
You have a data plan on your carrier's network or a Wi-Fi connection with internet access.
Make sure the signal strength for Wi-Fi or data network is good and that the phone is connected to the network.
Open a webpage in your phone browser to see if it loads. If it loads, your phone is connected to the internet!
Reboot your phone.
If you cannot connect to the internet through your Wi-Fi network, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or connecting over your phone's data network.
If you can open webpages and run other applications that connect to the internet on your phone, but WhatsApp will still not connect, try deleting and reinstalling WhatsApp. Learn how to reinstall WhatsApp on: Android | BlackBerry | iPhone | Nokia
If you can connect to other applications on your data network, but not WhatsApp, it could be that your mobile provider has configured your wireless access points to block certain chat applications.
Try this if WhatsApp still will not work on data only:
Contact your mobile provider and ask them about different access point settings to run chat apps.
They will guide you through a process in which you will manually configure your data network and web settings.
-------------------------------
Thats what I did and it worked, also try the last step of changing your access point !
Finally!!!!
Check your access point ie APN
I was facing same issues when I checked access point it was different from what I normally use. I changed it and it works fine now

Phones switches to 2g during call - (3G) data is disabled

Hi everyone, I'm running Android 2.3.4 (OpenSoju Rom) on my Nexus S,
but the issue i'm going to describe has happened to me on other Roms and
even on my old Nexus One.
When the phone is idle, 3G data works great (also when using apps that
require an internet connection), but when I receive a call,
after a minute or two, the 3G icon disappears from the notification
bar and the phone data connectivity is lost - no connection to the internet.
I've asked around and someone told me it is because the phone switches to
2G network during the call and when in the phone is in 2G mode, during a call
there is no data (on a 2G network).
I know that in the past this behavior did not occur, and in my country
when in 3G during a call - data is enabled!
So does anyone know how to fix/change the setting that causes this behavior?
'cause, for me, sometimes I really need the data connection during a call,
for example, when navigating using Waze (which needs data connectivity),
and receiving a call it causes Waze to stop working and I lose my GPS direction.
Thanks.
Use to work for me too. Then i noticed when AT&T started saying the had talk and web at same time, mysteriously it started doing what is happening to you. And i have Sprint, unless you switch to at&t you might be waiting for awhile.

Is there a way to alter WP7 Data Connection Preferences?

I have a WP7 phone and I have access to wifi except while I'm on the road. The phone automatically connects to the wifi. I have noticed that the data usage is ALWAYS going through my T-mobile account rather than wifi. How can I make sure that the phone uses wifi whenever available, and T-mobile when there's no wifi connection?

It DOES switches to WiFi when available and automatically switches to data Connection when WiFi isn't available. I confirmed it few days ago by installing Counters app for my Lumia 710. It tells you your mobile data usage. It stopped when I connected to my home WiFi and Data Connection was still ON.

Maybe the Lumia is better built than my Samsung Focus. I swear the Focus cannot automatically do this. Maybe it's because it was made for AT&T and not T-mobile.

Connectivity issues(WiFi+Calls)

Hi there, I have Moto G 16GB Dual Sim version for about 2 weeks and I have experienced some connectivity issues with the WiFi and calls also. When The WiFi is off Sim1 icon in notifications menu turns orange and when I am calling someone he doesn't hear me sometimes. When I turn the wifi on and connect to my home network the icon turns white and there are no problems. Also some of the google apps can't connect to the internet such as Youtube , Maps , Translate , Earth and Drive , but the Play store, Google Now and Chrome are fine
Here are some screenshots about the problem and the device numbers. I have switched to Art instead of Dalwik and the battery stands longer now, but the problem was there before the change. Any suggestions ?

Come on , this bug can't happen only to me . :crying: Any suggestions ?
I also experience this with my moto g dual sim. I don't think its a bug it just show you that you have no internet connection. Try to disconnect your router to the internet and see if it will change its colors. This is just purely cosmetic.

Mate , my google apps don't connect to the internet , but other apps can do that. My internet is good I am downloading stuff from Chrome/Dolphin with 3 MB/s and at the same time Youtube can't load a single clip ? Google drive can't update ? Also the problem with call signal is so weird. When the wi fi is off I experience problems and the icon is orange. Sometimes people can't hear me when I'm talking. Suddenly when I connect to WiFi the Sim1 icon turns white and everything is fine. How's that possible ?
