Would like to know which and why are u using tmobile firmware over int... Or vice versa.
I went to international instead of TMobile and I haven't looked back and no problems besides an occasional sod
Also on the International 7 Pro and don't need anything else for my T-Mobile usage...
Converted to International since I got the phone. No regrets at all.
International rom. TMobile updates are too slow and they don't include all the fixes with their updates

Hey guys,
Anybody else using the One S with AT&T? This morning I got the dreaded text from AT&T about the added "smartphone data plan." Has anybody else been using a One S on MediaNet, and did you guys get the text from them?
I'm using the International One S on AT&T Medianet for about five months now, no issues.. except poor data reception due to hardware.
Which version of One S?
Do you guys care to elaborate which version of One S you are using?
Is it with T-mobile logo? or with HTC logo?
Is it from T-mobile USA or from Europe?
Which country/region was it bought from?
From which vender?
From this thread

I got an impression that the only One S that get away with Medianet were the ones from T-mo USA (not T-mo in other countries or unbranded ones).
Seeing your posts, want to figure out if the T-mo USA ver no longer works, or any ver of One S works not just T-mo USA.

Is yours T-mo USA?
Did you do anything that might let AT&T know that the IMEI is of a smartphone?

Att found mine out immediately. T-Mo version.
So I'm probably going to buy an S7 Duos in the next few weeks.
I've been carrying two cell phones for the last few years. One for work on AT&T and another personal on T-Mobile.
(I actually bought this zenfone with the idea of consolidating but it got rejected by IT. Apparently only galaxies and iphones are now allowed on the network.)
Anyway I looked at the band's and it should work well, but I've seen a lot of reception issues. It's been suggested to try different modem files but nobody seems to actually report back and say it worked.
1) Has anybody gotten the FD version working well on T-Mobile? AT&T?
2) Did you change the modem? To which modem?
3) Can you use the stock file for the US versions? Or would be an issue with the processor or the second sim?

Ive been on Sprint for a good while now and I've had Nexus phones for years now so I'm not used to having to worry about the different versions and if I'll get to use custom roms or not.
But because I remember how much life sucked pre Nexus, 5,6,6p on Sprint, I was just wondering if this variant of the s8 is destined to live a stock rom life? I see the international and TMobile and att versions etc are already flourishing, but not a whole lot here.
Just trying to make my decision of do I upgrade or finally move to a gsm carrier.

Most of those roms are Universal for all carriers. You just have to flash your sprint CSC/Userdata to get all network features. Check Verizon or ATT threads.
Hi, I want to get a 7 Pro to replace my Mi Mix running AICP on Verizon in the USA. I'm wondering which model(s) will work, and if any versions will have a more reduced capability on Verizon. I do not have 5g, and don't think I will while I have this phone.
Will only gm1917 work?
I couldn't find anything about people using the gm1915 tmobile 7 Pro on verizon network. I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to buy a tmobile version (used, might save a little money or find a good price quicker). Any idea if converting tmobile > international version would work also?
A lot of ebay sellers do not list the model #, or say whether tmobile or whatever. I'm a little worried about receiving something not gm1917
I want 8gb or 12gb + 256gb.
gm1917 north america
gm1915 tmobile
gm1920 5g Europe
gm1925 5g Sprint (I don't need 5g)
I read about the other 7 Pro + Verizon quirks: wifi calling, might need to troubleshoot CDMAless, etc. That seems fine, I'm willing to do some work to get it rooted, rom'd, & running. I love the Mi Mix + AICP, if I could upgrade the camera I'd keep it. If you've got any other advice, please lmk.
Thank you for all the help on the excellent forums

T-Mobile will work. Updates are slow.
I have the GM1917
Since your with Verizon I would go with the 1917 version. I don't know about TMobile but I have the 1910 and has Verizon's main bands and you can talk and use data and send a text but won't receive a text back. I went through this scenario with verizons rep and made sure cdma less feature was on and just would not work. You can try with the TMobile but it's less of a headache and time if you just get the 1917.
I've been using the unlocked Z Fold 2 but in need to use Wifi calling which is missing so I would like to know if it is possible to flash AT&T firmware to get Wifi calling? If so, how? Also, will I be able to switch back as well?
There is no AT&T firmware available, nor will there ever be, most likely, which is why my unlocked Fold2 sits on a shelf and I use the AT&T Fold2 that I purchased from AT&T. Either live w/out wifi calling or switch to T-Mobile or buy an AT&T Fold2.

Aaaah, that's not what I was hoping to hear. Oh well, look like I will be buying At&T version of Samsung phones again..... even though I hate all the bloatware.

There's WAAAAYYY more Samsung bloat than the teeny weenie bit of AT&T bloat that's all disable-able anyway.
I solved ALL of my problems with AT&T on the U1:
AT&T T-Mobile

Yes, it's absolutely possible. Has been since the Galaxy S8. All the US versions of Galaxy devices are identical. The only difference is the firmware, which is cross flash compatible.
Two caveats:
1. ATT firmware is not as readily available as other carriers, but it can be found. If/When Samsung upgrades the Z Fold 2 to BYOD firmware, that won't be an issue.
For now, check this thread for the ATT firmware:
F916U AT&T Odin Firmware Links
For those who don't know, F916U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G. The F916U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100%...

2. If you flash ATT firmware to an unlocked device, you will NOT receive OTA updates. You'll have to manually flash each new version with ODIN. ATT is the only carrier I know of that does this.
