Hello fellow Android users,
I am writing from Tokyo, Japan, at National Institute of Informatics.
We are developing a non-comercial app aimed for Japanese people. This application will use physical/motion gestures as input. But because the recognition of motion gestures is not a trivial thing, as a first step we wrote a simple app called Genkii Gesture Training with the goal of collect accelerometer data from a small set of gestures. We will use this data to train a classifier that will be part of the final app. As a result of this training we hope that the final app will be able to recognize this small set of user gestures with high accuracy.
Genkii Gesture Training is part of a crowdsourcing campaign here in Japan, but is also public available in order to everybody could contribute.
What you need to do to contribute?
1) Download and install the app from Google Play.
2) Run the app. If you are not part of Yahoo Crowdsourcing campaign select no.
3) Complete all the tasks until you reach 100%.
4) Once complete we can restart from begining or you can uninstall the app.
We appreciate your contribute in completing the tasks
