Go to MORE -> CONFIG->click on F1 Mod Settings and Change Back cam to Piexel 2XL and Front Cam to Nexus 5X and it will solve the green photo.

Sorru for my bad, work fine on latest AEX
Works but crashes without warning if I don't make 5 seconds pause between shots on Syberia OS latest.
Edit: Never mind. Crashes after any shot. Useless for me. Thanks anyway.

Its the aosp problem
Only thing you need to do is to install a OnePlus 5 camera app port.

I don't know why is this possible but it actually is. The resolution is of a 4k video and the bitrate too. Also a noticeable improvement in clarity can be observed.

Latest arnova couldn't get the portrait selfie mode to work. Didn't test much else. I'll let you know if I find a completely stable one

I think I heard a reviewer say there was only 1 bugg and the rest works. It might have happend in my dreams.

so how does it work? we just install the app and use gcam app for the camera? I've never done it all. don't get my phone until 7 days away
I'll post pics later for comparison, but the pics on the Gcam are much better. Colors and dynamic range are way better - low light is no competition.
Installed it and it freezes on the camera as soon as I open it.

Don't know why it's not working for me. Frame gets stuck at opening... Nothing after that
I can get it to work but it will not let me change the back camera to the 48mp camera 12 is the highest it will go.
Here are some samples. Photo 1 is regular cam photo 2 is GCam mod.
The first looked much better to me.

thx for this...tried now several versions of gcam 6.*....none of them really worked well.... this one is the most stable for me so far, though i still have crashes ever and anon (after taking picture, but seldom now) . not as stable as gcam5 (which is the last version works perfect 4 me) but definitely best working v6 version for me.

Didn't do any changes except turn off Slo-Mo in Advanced settings because it fails to work.

Solved, using the last Bulkin Gcam (6.2.030) , I just started using Franco Kernel and no crash or FC.
Any ideas why crash on launch? I'm on Syberia OS Pie with OV sensor
I'm using aosp extended based on Pie and currently I'm using Sulphur gcam from insanity but is there any better one for me?! and does flashing a custom kernel make any difference cuz I'm using the stock one with aosp..

I tried the latest version, night sight lags more than usual, I'll be waiting for next releases and try again (Mido device). Thanks.
Tested on my rooted Redmi Note 4X running Pixel Experience ROM.
Video mode doesn't work. I only get a dark screen. Other modes work fine.
Edit: slow motion and motion tracking (both auto and on options) doesn't work. Sometimes the video mode works after clearing the data but the camera, night sight and portrait stops working. It can't shoot at 1080p60fps though just 4k/1080p at 30fps. Even if you choose the 60fps option it will still be at 30fps.
Does it work with Syberia 9.0(Pie) ??
At night with flash, it does not save the photo in memory.

As a suggestion, as I don't know which rom are you using.. After September update (los16 by aryan, which includes latest zeelog camera HAL improvements) my cameras reduced a lot, if not all, any possibility of crashing. I tried almost 20 takes one after the other under high sunlight conditions, using latest parrot 6.3 v9, one before latest Arnova's 6.2 and even parrot V7 mods. V7 beta is, despite being uncompleted and with functions not totally implemented, practically impossible to crash it. So, I'm telling you my experience, yours may differ. My Mido uses both Samsung sensors, Omnivision and Sony may behave different.
If your ROM is not using the zeelog's tree, I would suggest you to try any Gcam v7 and see what you can achieve.
