Is even possible? I know it could be a problem for performance because a smartphone is not as powerful as a PC but can it be done? For the game controls you could use the xbox wireless controller, so you should not program the touch controls.

Anyone else has tried the new ShadowGun game with XBox controller? I just tried, and it works flawlessly. You can re-mapped the button from the GamePad settings in the game to configure your own buttons preferences. The game is fun, smooth graphics, with the xbox controller it feels like having a portable console. Keep more games like this coming!

Ok, now that's really awesome. Just installed it and now I've got to get the controller.

Yep yep. First thing I did, didn't even try to play using the touch screen lol.

you are using a wired controller is it also working with wireless xbox controller for pc?
More controller supported games
Hi, if you are looking for more games to play with your gamepad, try these:
1) Cordy
2) Reckless getaway
3) Reckless racing
All of the games above doesn't allow button re-mapping, but they are still playable. Enjoy!
Anyone tried with the wireless xbox controller?
I cant even get the whole game to work properly. There is no gun on my character, all shells that fly out from that invisible gun are purple boxes and all enemies are invisible. I thought this would be wider problem with tegra2 devices but clearly it is working for some.
I have send email about this to the developer. Hopefully I get a solution to this at some point.

apparently there was an update release on the market for the game stating that the character with no gun bug has been fixed. I haven't experienced that problem myself and havent updated. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. After uninstalling then re-installing the game, it was fixed.
I have it and have played the first 3 levels using a PlayStation3 SixAxis controller plugged in via USB, its working perfectly, its awesome.
Indeed working great:

Why wired?
The PS3 SixAxis controller will work wirelessly. I bought a white one specifically to use with my Transformer for games.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV

It doesn't work perfectly though via bluetooth (I've used it both ways, infinitely better wired).

Yeah, with the sixaxis app the analog joysticks pull too much after you stop moving them.
On the other hand, USB works flawlessly.

The Xbox 360 controllers are not Bluetooth like the PS3 controllers, so they will not work wirelessly. There is a thread about getting the PS3 controller to work via bluetooth

You can use a wireless controller, but you need the Wireless Gaming Receiver in order to do it. The WGR is for hooking up a wireless xbox controller to a PC, but it works on the Transformer as well.

The thing about that is its a bug in the 1.02 shadowgun update. On 1.0 sixaxis worked flawlessly, but when i beat the game i wanted to play individual levels so i had to backup data, update(uninstall/reinstall) and restore data. On 1.02 i noticed the joysticks pulling. Hopefully they fix it in an update.

On asus transformer with ics the sixaxis controller is natively supported without the need for any other application
I played Meganoid using gamepad. Don't remember having any problems so it's probably fully suported.
Gunman Clive
Helium Boy Demo There is a paid version of the game to.
Pretty fun game with nice graphics. colorful and playful feeling..
Both games supports keyboard, gamepad. Have its own setting menu so you can mapp your keys..
The keys that works and the ones you can use on the keyboard when you set up the buttons (think this goes for all games)
Tab
Caps lock
Shift Buttons
Ctrl Buttons
Alt
Arrows
If you have Sixaxis app. You can use all the keys on the keyboard to choose from if you set Sixaxis to input metod. Seems that this works witout root. So it should work the same if you have the app USB Joystick Center.
Open Sixaxis
Change IME
Choose Sixaxis Conroller
Asus Prime & Tapatalk
Thanks for the advice, but I play all games that support keyboard or mouse or gamepad only with DroidMote.
The important thing is to support some external input devices.

I do not like touch profiles, I find it uncomfortable to create a touch profile for each game, or different touch profile for different screen size or change touch profile for every game. if the game support the gamepad, from the comfort of my couch, with a single device i play with all games.
In essence we are only interested in games that support external input devices.
So are the games listed in the first two posts compatible with Sixaxis without touch profiles?

Trying to play Tiki Kart on my Transformer Prime with a gamepad but it's not working. Are you sure gamepad is supported on this game?

Not sure what the issue is, my tf101 plays it fine. I didn't do anything either, just connected loaded tiki kart and it works.
Dead Trigger
unfortunately I can't post links yet...sorry. Just search it in google play.
Gamepad option allows you to map your control without needing to set a touch profile with Sixaxis...plays great with my PS3 controller!

You mean the very first entry in the gamepad settings? BTW, "Aim" brings up the scope/sights.
Thank You!
I have searched the Internet for about... ehh 30 minutes trying to find a list like this. No surprise it would be found on XDA i should have came here to start with. Quick Question... You said "Now that ICS is among us" I have a Xoom (Unrooted Android 4.1) and EVO 4G (Ported CyanogenMod9 4.04) Do you believe either one of my devices will support gameplay with my Playstation Controller? or Maybe Both? What do you think?
I can't get my Xbox 360 USB controller to work anywhere. Super annoying.
All gamepad supported games will work with sixaxis app just tick emulate gampade controller and the go into the gampad supported game go to settings and there should be map gamepad control's some games like GTA 3 will work straight away
I was looking for an app that would emulate an XBOX 360 Controller on android and make it work via wifi to my PC.
It's like this apps of Mouse/Keyboard remote, so I could play away from PC, like laying on the bed. Is there an app like that?
Hello,
I never seen that kind of app.
How could an android (phone?) device replace a gamepad?
Or so, how could you use it?
To have an idea, test a snes emulator and you'll see that's not realy playable without true buttons/cross/sticks...
I would buy a wireless gamepad for computer or use a PS3 controller with a BT dongle.

The same way there's a WiFi Mouse & Keyboard app could be one WiFi Controller app.
I agree it's not as comfortable as a real gamepad but you get used to it. I have no problems playing games on ePSXe for example.

Ok, after many tries I was able to add a Project64 game to Steam, and launch the game from the Shield. However, I can't control the game from the Shield, and using the "xinput" command string I used for the Supermodel games doesn't seem to work.
Anyone know how to make the Shield controls work for Project 64 streaming through Steam?
Why not just run mupen on the shield works perfectly for me.

Thanks....you saved me a ton of grief trying to make it work. As for more bad news, I just found that Rogue Leader for GameCube doesn't work in Dolphin either.
So far the only great Star Wars game I can get to stream to the Shield is Star Wars Trilogy in Supermodel.

You probably need to use an xinput controller plugin or map it out with a 360 controller before streaming it to get shield controls to work.
Isn't supermodel a different emulator (model 3)? So the command line flags will be different.
Hi,
I am thinking of buying a Shield but i have a question regarding the console mode.
Lets say I have fifa or some other game installed on the shield and i would like to play 2 players while in console mode or other wise?
Thanks
When the game supports it, you can use multiple bluetooth controllers in console mode. I would assume this works in Gamestream as well... but I haven't tried it yet to be honest.

I was actually just coming to ask a similar question. now as a second part to the OP is there a list of games out there somewhere that support console mode for multiple players on the shield?
