Disable auto headphones microphone gain / level (mixer_paths) - General Topics

Anyone know of a way to disable auto mic level adjustment on Android? I use my phone as a guitar amp and use an iRig to connect the guitar to my phone. However, I notice that when I play with little volume, it sounds okay, but if I start playing loudly it'll just lower the volume like it has some noise gate. I also tried this while recording with my headphones' mic and it has the same effect. What can I do?
PS Sorry if this thread is in the wrong section, I'm new to the site

headphone is not loud enough for mp3

Hi, while I try to use headphone to listen mp3, it's alway not loud enough even I put the system volume to the max. It is any other way to boost the volume to make it louder thought my headphone, the one go from 2.5mm audio jack.
I couldn't find anything about how to make the headphone louder, not thought bt headphone.
Furthermore, is it tools to control the volume for different applications. I think it would be very handy if we can have different volume setting for different applications, say, I alway have to adjust the volume of my windows media player to max, and if I'm using sip phone, I have to change to another setting, and another setting for my reminder in order not to scare others.

Google Voice play back volume low

I believe I've always had this issue on all three of my Android phones. When I go into Google Voice to play back my messages, the volume is always on max, but the playback is still very low. Across all phones (two captivates and a cliq), volume is low regardless of ear-piece or speaker.
Is there any way to increase this volume?
Thank you to all the ultra wise for all your assistance and hard work to make android what it is today.
The Google Voice default is to playback through earphone rather than speaker phone. Hold the phone to your ear or change it to playback through speaker phone.

Yes I know this. As I explained above, the volume is low when played back through ANY speaker on the phone. This could be indicative of a software limit on the app maybe...
The volume is so low that unless I'm in an almost silent environment, its difficult to hear anything. The transcriptions aren't quite helpful just yet, but I've noticed them getting better.
I had this problem today. The message was SO quiet that I could not make out what my friend was saying.
Google Voice needs a few tweaks, like the option to switch to speaker on the fly.

I understand you wouldn't want to set it to playback on the speaker by default, but if you hit the button to the right of the seek bar while its playing, it switches to the speaker phone. Still a bit difficult to hear. even if you put it directly on your ear.
I would say one of the best things about this phone is that you can hit speaker phone and flip it over and use it as a regular phone. That way you have a SUPER loud ear-peace. Good for clubs/concerts/loud places... but not loud enough for my damn messages

[Q] Stereo sound using phone and media speaker?

We now know the G2X has only one media speaker, and I was a bit bothered watching videos and the sound comes from only one side. Maybe I am just expecting too much from a phone, but I was wondering if it was possible to make use of the speaker (the one you use for regular phone calls) to create a stereo effect to a listener directly in front of the phone.
I am aware this speaker can't output as high a volume as the media speaker on the bottom of the phone. Is it possible to have this speaker output at a volume such that the media speaker match it in a relatively similar volume so that the listener directly in front of the screen can hear stereo sound? That is if it is even possible to route the sound to output from both speakers at the same time.
If possible, maybe someone with the experiences can add this feature into a custom firmware?

Headphone amplifier app

Every couple months i pointlessly ask this question.
Is anyone aware of an app that can adjust the headphone amplifier levels?
I need the headphone amp to have REDUCED volume to eliminate static noise when listening to quiet music at night.
Voodoo sound does this perfectly, but only works on samsung phones.
Thanks in advance, even though lets face it it doesn't exist.

What exactly is causing this static noise??
DSP manager should be what you are looking for. Set the equalizer in the headphone settings to "custom" then reduce the levels across all the bands. If it is high pitched static you may just want to reduce the high frequencies
EDIT: Search the forums for "Dsp manager" to find the download link. Id post it but cant...

I appreciate your reponse but its not a solution. If you listen to quiet music at night like classical music, you will hear a static. Its a cheap headphone amp in the phone. Think about a guitar amp turned up too loud. You would hear the amp clearly when the guitar isn't playing. Some phones are worse than others in this regard. Turning the headphone amp down and the media volume UP reduces static noise and allows the media volume to be high.
Turning the eq down may help but at the cost of good sound quality. I have tried it.
And finally, here is the answer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamkang.fauxsound
I had the same problem to with white noise static coming in my low impedance in ear phones.
I edited these 2 files and lowered the gain to 48 for headset. I think by default its on 55.
They are in /system/etc
Files
TPA2051_CFG.csv
TPA2051_CFG_XC.csv
Edit and reboot. Make copies before edit just in case.

[Q] Microphone problem while driving

peternorris90
Level: Cupcake
Hello everybody!
I have a question that is more a challenge!
My problem is that while I am driving I use an aux-aux cable to listen to music.
But, if I receive a phonecall and answer, the microphone is automatically set to a low sensitivity even though the audio is going through the aux/car speakers (seems like the sensitivity for a normal phonecall). Therefore I usually put the speaker mode on for the mic to go to a high sensitivity and everything works well. However, sometimes it is hard to hear the call while driving and it would be awesome if I could use the car speakers instead with a high sensitivity mic.
I have a rooted device with Cyanogen 12 OS
Is there any solution to this? Tweaking? Using tasker/trigger or else? (I also have NFC tags in the car dock to toggle actions)
Thanks
