[Q] Lollipop vs Kitkat - unlock with bluetooth device

in my moto g 2013 i unlock my device (w/out inserting the pin) with a bt connected mi band. I use trusted devices by motorola.
in stock lollipop google implemented this feature natively.
so, in your moto g 5.0.2, do u have the google implementation or the motorola one? or both??

Why no Android N update for Moto G Turbo?

On 4th October 2016 Lenovo announced on official blog which handsets would be getting the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update.
Absent from the list was the Moto G 3rd Gen (Osprey) and Moto G Turbo Edition (Merlin) - making them historically the first Moto G phones to receive only one major Android update. Both Moto G 1st Gen (Falcon) and 2nd Gen (Titan) where given two Android updates - KitKat and Lollipop in the case of 'Falcon,' and Lollipop and Marshmallow for 'Titan.'
The abandoning of support for both 'Osprey' after 8 months (Android 6.0.1 was released in March 2016) and 'Merlin' after only 3 months shows that the Moto brand now will no longer respect the previous practise of providing ‘18 months of update support.’
Included on the current official Nougat update device list is the Moto G Play (4th Gen) - a handset with weaker specifications than both 'Osprey' and 'Merlin.'
The issue is not technical limitation. Lenovo appears to have simply decided your last generation Moto G handsets are no longer important.
The Moto G Play uses the exact same chipset and GPU as 'Osprey,' but runs at a lower CPU clock-speed. This profound hardware similarity suggests that in the process of making the update for Moto G Play; much of the work needed to produce a Nougat update for 'Osprey' would be completed.
Moto X Play (also on the Nougat update list) uses the exact same chipset and GPU as Moto G Turbo Edition - making both devices Vulkan compatible.

Moto's RSA is to recover your bricked device if you screwed up flashing a rom.
So yeah.....soooft.

Motorola edge 20 pro, with relocked oem here. I'm stucked in bootloop, my phone only boot into fastboot. The tool cannot find my phone, just <waiting for device>. Are there any chances for me?
Same thing with rsd lite, it cannot find my device. RSA is just useless. Flasher pro detects my phone but doesn't have permission to flash so only errors list.

I've tried this tool on my Moto G Stylus 5G and it throws an error:
FAILED: qb_flash_singleimage()->sahara_greet_device()->change_mode()->do_hello()->IO error
This is the same error as in qboot.
Do you have an idea how I could put the phone in the right mode to allow download?
I've tried holding volume-down and power, volume-up and power, both volumes + power, but the phone just reboots and nothing changes.

How do I put the Edge 20 in EDL mode? By USB it simply does not recognize the Qualcomm port but the Fastboot port (I did a relock to the bootloader and now it does not recognize the operating system).
I don't have tools at home to open a phone that comes sealed with glue.

Then you should buy some. You have no other option than that.

I have a Motorola Moto G5 XT1670 hard bricked phone that came out in 2017. It shows up as port Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 when hooked up to my computer's USB port.
Your current application doesn't have this phone listed. What are the possibilities of updating the application to include the applicable firmware?

Maybe only the correct loader.elf is needed to support your phone. I'll have a look on it later.

If you like to I could build a *.bin file for your device. Later you just need to move it into the moto folder where it'll replace one of the other device files. Of course I'll tell you which one.

[ How to install ROM via SP Tool ]
If you don't have SP Tool you can download here +Thanks @reticuli
1. Open SP Tool by click " flash_tool.exe "
2. Go to Download tab and following select file inside same folder as below:
(or Understanding this method via How to use SP Tool for Mediatek device first)
Download-Agent: select " MTK_AllInOne_DA_onyx_signed.bin " File are in SP Tool folder
Scatter-loading File: select " MT6893_Android_scatter.txt " File are in ROM/Firmware folder
Authentication File: select " auth_sv5.auth " File are in SP Tool folder
3. Then Click green arrow " Download "
4. (Important) Make sure that your tablet was Turn off
or You can turn off tablet and force turn off by press "Power + Volumn down" untill screen is turn off
5. Do not press any button key on tablet and then Connect the USB connect to PC
6. The software will be run and Loading DA 100% then you should wait until popup showing Complete
You can unplug USB and turn on the tablet.
[ If above do not work please try below ]
- Make sure tablet is turn off successful for item 4
- Try to change port of USB on PC
- Replace from USB-C/USB-C to USB-A/USB-C
- Re-install MTK VCOM driver
- Change PC to install

I got Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 from store on aliexpre** cn.
I can't buy global version(P11 Pro Gen 2) since no any store ship to my country.
as checked on store seller their are mention on description was installed Global ROM by manual (from Original is CN ROM ZUI14)
It's can support multi-language also English and Chinese.
But whem i got the tablet it seem like can't update software by System Update menu on device.
(Previously i used P11 Pro 2020 (Xiaoxin Pad 2020) my device is CN but i've flash stock ROM and it can update as normally.
So i want to install them as Stock ROM as P11 Pro Gen 2. (There are same as Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022)

I saw this firmware , but i can't know if this is official by company firmware and who uploaded it

my opinion is , do not do anything on your device unless you are absolutely sure of the origin of the files ...

Thanks! Agree with you, for lenovo software support are not good when compare with others android brand.
(However, the official CN rom ZUI14 sound good but i'm not stay in CN so some function was blocked)
I decide to select lenovo tablet because some hardware are better with cheapest money.
Hopefully in few month stock ROM from official are available for download.

My understanding is that the official global ROM can be installed on the MTK Chinese tablet.
I found this model (https://aliexpress.com/item/1005004733001677.html) being sold and on the description, it mentions the box will be opened to install the global ROM, and when I asked the seller via private message, he replied it is the official global ROM that comes on the European version.
BUT, it might be the seller providing inaccurate information of course, as we all know how they are on Ali...

I've asked the seller. They're said the tablet will not support update software.

So i'm not sure why? because I also have Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2020 Chinese device and I've installed stock global rom by myself.
It's can be update software on System Update as normal many times no any issues.

Ok, then they are not using the official ROM yet - IF the official ROM isn't blocked and can't be installed on the Chinese tablet, that is also pending to see.
Try to follow this topic, seems they are also working / trying the same as you and have some links / tools being shared there while they try to find the official global ROM.

Just update, I've try to use official Rescue and Smart Assistant (LMSA) for update firmware P11 Pro Gen 2 (TB132FU)
Installed official stock ROM --> TB132FU_S000089_221020_ROW
but.. there are stuck at not compatible hardware screen. I'm going to find solution.
" The current system is not compatible with this hardware, The device will power off automatically.
It can work normally after flashing back to factory version system.

Read carefully how to download stock rom and install it via SPFlash Tool ..
The SPFT is already visible on the screen you are showing above
(you can find in : C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\ToolFiles)
I'm not sure it will work 100% for this tablet but worth a try

But for now i've got new issues.
When i press "Download" then "Plug the USB into PC" so it's show The error 0xC0060003 and stuck on this..
