[Q] CM 11 for Moto G XT1033 [Dual SIM]

I have been tracking CM wiki for Moto G on their site. Until a day or two ago, it said:
This is a unified build that supports retail (XT1031, XT1032, and XT1034) and Google Play Edition (XT1032). Future support for XT1033 (dual sim) will be added.
But today it says:
This is a unified build that supports retail (XT1031, XT1032, XT1033 and XT1034) and Google Play Edition (XT1032).
Does this mean it supports the XT1033 (dual sim) now? since people installing it before on XT1033 reported that the phone only worked in Single SIM mode. Please update if anyone is in the know how about this. I tried posting on CM11 for Moto G topic but not enough posts...

[Q]

I currently have a Moto G 1st Gen UK. I am currently waiting for lollipop however I have seen that the GPE edition already has lollipop now. Because it appears that moto g gen 1 and moto g gpe has identical hardware, would i be able to flash a gpe rom on my stock 4.4.4 gen 1? That way I could have gpe lollipop on my device?
Another question if the above is possible, would it would in the UK as i'm currently on O2?

It's somehow a way to catch attention but at least in the future you should consider to give your threds more meaningful titles
Concerning your question: don't think this will work that easy since gpe and non-gpe use different file systems on the userdata partition (ext4 and f2fs). If you are willing to unlock your bootloader you can of course think about CM or some other custom ROM.
Is O2 your provider? As long as your rom correctly can address your sim-card (what should be the case if you flashed the right one) there shouldn't be problems with your provider.

[Q] Device Protection

You think that Device Protection feature of Android 5.1 will come to Moto G too?
Yes

Why no Android N update for Moto G Turbo?

Please sign this petition to push Lenovo (Moto) to provide Android N update for Moto G3 and Moto G Turbo devices (please copy and paste the url) - change.org/p/motorola-please-include-moto-g-3rd-gen-for-android-nougat-update
On 4th October 2016 Lenovo announced on official blog which handsets would be getting the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update.
Absent from the list was the Moto G 3rd Gen (Osprey) and Moto G Turbo Edition (Merlin) - making them historically the first Moto G phones to receive only one major Android update. Both Moto G 1st Gen (Falcon) and 2nd Gen (Titan) where given two Android updates - KitKat and Lollipop in the case of 'Falcon,' and Lollipop and Marshmallow for 'Titan.'
The abandoning of support for both 'Osprey' after 8 months (Android 6.0.1 was released in March 2016) and 'Merlin' after only 3 months shows that the Moto brand now will no longer respect the previous practise of providing ‘18 months of update support.’
Included on the current official Nougat update device list is the Moto G Play (4th Gen) - a handset with weaker specifications than both 'Osprey' and 'Merlin.'
The issue is not technical limitation. Lenovo appears to have simply decided your last generation Moto G handsets are no longer important.
The Moto G Play uses the exact same chipset and GPU as 'Osprey,' but runs at a lower CPU clock-speed. This profound hardware similarity suggests that in the process of making the update for Moto G Play; much of the work needed to produce a Nougat update for 'Osprey' would be completed.
Moto X Play (also on the Nougat update list) uses the exact same chipset and GPU as Moto G Turbo Edition - making both devices Vulkan compatible.

Can I flash a GSM rom on a CDMA Moto G If I don't intend to use as a phone

Hello. I have a Moto G XT1031 (Moto G Boost Mobile version) which I currently have flashed with a the verizon stock rom (I used it on Page Plus). Its on Android 4.4 and I want to convert it into a DIY Google Home device which requires a later version of Android. I see that there is many roms with android 7 or 8 available for the GSM version of the Moto G but nothing for the Boost Mobile version. I was wondering if I can flash one of those GSM roms like LineageOS 14.1 and have it function. I don't need cellular connection, just wifi is sufficient. Thanks a lot.
