Anyone tried this with TMobile? I'm thinking of getting an unlocked z4
Works fine.
Had mine now for more than a month and happy with it.
Yes, works great on T-Mobile. No problems with WiFi calling or anything else.
I will get Z4 if there's a Black Friday discount.
I have G6, G7, Z3 Play, and all work 100% with T-Mobile, and I have faith Z4 will be the same especially it has B71 LTE like Z3 Play
Got mine when it launched, has worked great since, wifi calling and everything.
Now I have Z4 on 2nd line and it works 100%

Can the Bell DesireZ be used on ATT and how is it compared to the Inspire for speed and being able to be customized? I have someone that says it will work and wants to sell to me.
Yes the Desire Z works on ATT 3g, its a good phone and the proc can be overclocked like a champ, but overall id say its a tad slower than the Inspire
I have never had a phone that was designed to be with another carrier before so I am leary even though it is unlocked.
Will it work on the Edge network also? My home does not get 3g or it is very marginal....
I have owned the Desire from Telus, the Desire Z from Bell and the Desire HD AKA Inspire from AT&T and as for the Z it is a good phone with a crappy hinge system, plus the Z is not hard to root but getting S-off and anything else is a pain, unless you are good with the computer command prompt, unless they have come up with something that is easier since then, I got mine when it was first released by bell and very little was out then.
One last thing, they do not hold their value at all, I lost $300.00 from the time I purchased mine to the time I sold it on E-bay which was around three months, so unless you can get it for around $300.00 I would take a pass on it, mine cost me $650.00 from a store in Canada.
Also it will work on Edge if you do not have 3G plus it will work on the HSPA+ Or what ever that bandwidth is called that they call 4G!!!!

Seems to be the same as what I hear from everyone...
About two months ago, I dropped my LG Optimus G. Best and fastest Android phone I have owned, worked great.
It cost $160 to replace the screen and don't reply to me about replacing it myself, I do not have the time or the patience for that, I have way too many unfinished projects.
In the interim, I bought a unlocked AT&T Go ZTE Radiant. While that works fine, it's quite a bit slower to respond than the Optimus is and Shopkick crashes constantly.
Problems I never had on my Samsung Infuse 4G or the LG.
So I want to banish this device to emergency status. The final straw is the poor low light (even with the flash) photos it takes.
The 4G LTE version of the Moto G is not quite available yet (Amazon is saying 4-7 weeks now) and there's no announcement of a GPE either.
I use AT&T so even the GPE of the Moto G would be 4G (like the Radiant) and should work in Latin America (where I am going later this year). LTE would be nice, but I can live with 4G.
I just hope I am not barking up the wrong tree and believe that having a quad core phone would solve many of the problems I currently deal with on the Radiant.
The LTE also has a sd card slot, so I'm pretty locked onto that version of it.
Thoughts and Suggestions?

I suggest going for the LTE Moto G, they actually started shipping the device... Mine is on the way.
The 3G version of this watch is coming in the next 2 weeks or so, and I am unable to find anything about whether or not you can use it with a non samsung phone..
I know the "non 3G" version works with most modern Android phones, and I know it will work with my Nexus 6..
My question is, does any one know for certain if I can use the 3G version, when it comes out, with my Nexus 6, or will the 3G version only work with Samsung phones?
I'm going to call Samsung tomorrow and ask, but I trust the folks here on XDA to know alot more than someone on their CS line will
Thanks!
It works just as the Bluetooth version does with compatible other phones.
do you have a link to the owners manual for the 3G model?
thanks
will it be able to connect blue tooth . i am on cricket wireless so not sure if i can add it to my plan
Anyone hear on the tmobile version tmobile hasn't sent the email out or Twitter or anyone from tmo will confirm
supposedly, you can call in today and order it, and stores in my area,(chicagoland) all say they should have them to sell Monday
Finely found a store that had it after 3 stores I got it
I called at least 6 stores, and none had it in suburban chicago; a couple said they should have them Monday, but I played it safe and ordered over the phone from T-Mo
Free over night shipping, and, you get 20 days to decide if you want to return it, vs 14 days when you buy in store..
I can wait one more day, at this point!
Yea messed up my account tho they cancelled my gear s for some reason I didn't want to add the new s2 yet because my gear s is at samsung for repair and didn't know if I wanted to keep the service on the gear s or s2 yet also they still charge u 15 for a sim when there's not even a sim in the damn thing
Works with some voice connection issues on N6P with Verizon.

Thanks I figured it's sitting on my wrist also look at the date I posted it have a good day
works perfectly on my rooted Nexus 6 with a custom rom on T mobile
I'm curious to know if anyone here is going to purchase the U.S. version of the phone and use it on T-Mobile or AT&T. Current pre-order sites are Amazon and Best Buy.
I currently have HTC U11 but have always been a Xperia fan and I'm really liking what Sony is offering in the XZ Premium so on a whim I decided to pre-order the phone.
I have T-Mobile for service so I'll be trying it out on that. My concerns are no VOLTE and no WIFI calling. I've been testing my LG V20 for the last week with VOLTE and WIFI calling turned off and it hasn't been an issue or bothered me at all so I think that I'm good there. Another thing is that it's missing the software for fingerprint sensor. I can live without the fingerprint sensor so it's really a non-issue to me but I understand that it bothers others.
Let me and others know what you think about it. Have you pre-ordered or will you order it? Would you use it on AT&T or T-Mobile?
Thanks!
UPDATED: So it appears that the phone I pre-ordered from Best Buy has the model# 8142. This is the same model number for the UK phones per the info from https://www.techwalls.com/sony-xperia-xz-premium-g8141-g8142-model-number-differences/. If this is the case then I guess that I am getting the international UK model, just from Best Buy. The phone listed on US Amazon doesn't have a model number so I'll have to say that it's unknown until someone orders it and can update me. Per that website there is a G8141 but I don't know who is selling it in the US.
Hi - I've ordered from Unlocked-mobiles.com (UK). Its ~100$ lesser + Bluetooth speaker ($150 in BestBuy) not to forget the Sony international warranty. Also you don't need to flash anything since the FP scanner works out of the box. I am using with Tmobile and haven't noticed any issues so far. Several in the US have got it from UK as per the other threads in this forum

Thanks for the input. I guess that a big deal for many is the cost difference between a UK version and a US version and that alone may drive them to opt for the UK version. It's too bad that I'm not too keen on purchasing a phone from UK and bringing to US. I'd rather purchase the US version from Best Buy and include the accidental damage plan to have that extra coverage as well. As a note I haven't owned a Sony phone since the Z3 from T Mobile and believe me I'm pissed that T-Mobile hasn't had a Sony phone since.
If the phones are identical (I think that's the case) then I could flash the UK firmware onto it and use as normal until (if) a warranty claim is needed then I can flash US firmware and off it goes. :good:
I'm interested in purchasing this phone at Best Buy as well and using it on the T-Mobile network. For those that have purchased and on T-Mobile, does the Wi-Fi Calling feature work? I love that it has dual sim capability for when I travel abroad, but I do use Wi-Fi calling just as much. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The unfortunate answer to that question is a definitive NO. Something about the fact that Sony doesn't have the device certified by T Mobile is what I heard. Same goes for the VoLTE.
I still use it on TMO though.
Never thought this lack of users on our forum. Let's see how many are we! Also waiting for some hack/port for LGUp to try the European firmware.
But let's see who has it!
I have the Korean model. Living in Europe, it works fine. Volte and Wi-Fi calling activated on Orange. No problems so far. Nothing to dislike. This phone is perfect for me. Rocking it with Sony 1000xm3 big headphones, Tidal master, in my car custom audio system as well, my house paired with an 2.1 sound bar.

Plus one from Singapore. Love the dual screen casing. And the 3.5mm audio DAC.
Yeah, it's kinda depressing. It's a great phone.
Ok. It seems we are a total of 4 from USA, 1 from UK, 1 from Singapore and 1 from Romania. :crying:
For those from USA, why didnt you get the new iphone and got this?

LG V50 has a great class
+1 from United States. Been an iPhone user since the 3GS all the way to the X. The iPhones are all the same year after year and I've heard good things about the V50, plus living in a 5G market (Sprint) is pretty nice.
+1 in Mexico, I bought during my trip in Korea. Regards!
Here from Tunisia ,switched from the s10 plus .
I love discriminated devices which are awesome

I didn't get the iPhone because I'm not an iPhone fan. I had two Nexus phones made by LG before, and wasn't a big Samsung fan, so I went with LG. I upgraded from a V40, because I got a great deal on the V50 that allows me to basically break even and I get the benefit of 5G on Sprint when I'm in the right parts of town.
