Hello!
As you all know, this is one fairly expensive phone, as such, I have been roaming around amazon for a case that would be able to protect it in the long run.
Sadly I found but few that felt sturdy enough:
- Poetic Affinity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QVNX8BH/
- Poetic Guardian https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QVBBC3L/
Is the Spigen Tough Armor any good? https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Tough-Armor-Designed-OnePlus/dp/B07RY67KWY/
How does it hold up against the other cases?
Any other recommendations?
Thanks a bunch o>

I have not posted here too often but I thought I would share.
I have done a bunch of product reviews in the past on my YouTube channel (mostly apple) but I am expanding my horizons :good: Recently I picked up 3 S4 cases (2 by Poetic and 1 by Exact).
Don't know if I can mention pricing here but they are super cheap and IMO good quality. The three cases are:
1. Poetic Atmosphere - this one is my favorite of the bunch. It is frosted clear, shows the S4, protects the device while not adding much bulk or weight. When comparing it to the iPhone 5 atmosphere case I like the way this one fits much better. It's easier to remove and feels very good in the hand.
2. Poetic Borderline Bumper - pretty self explanatory. It's a bumper but for people looking for a simple minimalistic approach it works.
3. Exact Armor - a more bulky case with a different look that will not be for everyone but if you like the design I think its a good protective case.
I don't think I can link to these here but if you search for them you will find my videos showing them up close. I did not do reviews of them since I don't have a real S4 yet. If you guys have questions about them please let me know and I can do my best to answer for you.

I like the poetic atmosphere case, but I cant seem to find it anywhere in the UK
I don't like the holes on the Exact Armor but I like the rest, maybe I'd consider getting it if it was available in europe
Here are the Pictures:
i'm ordering the bumper case during the week so it can get here around the same time my phone does
The amazon review says the volume rocker / power button is hard to press through the case, was your experience different? I like the poetic transparent one too
I ordered the rooCase Fuse case which appears to be identical to the Poetic Atmosphere. Amazon has it for $6 shipped. I went ahead and bought two of them due to the low price.

I know, I know...please not another "which should I choose?" thread...I get tired of them too. With that being said, the topic pretty much tells the tale. I'll clarify for those willing to give their input: I've narrowed my choice of cases down to these two (PureGear DualTek Extreme and UAG Navigator) based on my personal preferences, but I have no experience with either company nor their products...This is where you come in. I'm not asking you to necessarily tell me which one I should choose or shouldn't choose, but I would like to hear how YOUR experience has been with either of these companies or these cases. Any and all input is welcomed!
Thanks in advance for your participation.
I had a Dualtek Extreme case for my Razr Maxx and after about a week of collecting massive pocket lint the corner bumpers started falling off. I only had the case for about 2 weeks cause after the bumpers fell off it looked really silly. (A very heavy duty case but minus bumpers you ahve gaping holes on all four corners.)
I just ordered a GS4 and am kicking around the UAG or the Spigen SlimArmor case. (Leaning more towards UAG cause I like the look and the large built in corner bumpers.)
Never tried the puregear case, but rocked the Uag case on my S3, and right now I have the black uag case for my S4 and just ordered the white one as well. Highly recommend Uag. Great protection, durable, not bulky, and their customer service is awesome. I put up a review of the uag case if you want to check it out

UAG best for my S3... now for my S4

I ordered this:
http://www.amazon.com/Ionic-GUARDIA...qid=1369920767&sr=8-6&keywords=galaxy+s4+case
I've had it for a day now and I am really happy with it. The price is more than fair (IMO). Protection is excellent since it is a 2 stage cover (Silicon-Plastic).
The front of the device is protected meaning you can place your phone face down.
And finally it looks great.
New to the forums - don't flame too badly!
I have used the typical cases on my phones before - like Otterbox and Case-mate - but I am looking for something like a Ballistic case for my brand new GS4. Do you guys have any experience with the Ballistic Shell Gel case or something similar?
I am not interested too much in the Otterbox products anymore and looking for something durable; but without too much bulk.
Thanks!
have you checked spigen neo hybrid?
do you mean this case?
[oops - I cannot post the link yet I guess per the rules]
I just searched it on Amazon and it looks to have some pretty good reviews. Do you know of anything more like a Ballistic case with rubber corners? I drop my phone a lot ( I know!! I need to be more careful!) and want to make sure it is protected.
Thanks for the input!
Urban armor gear is maybe something for you check the out on the web

im using Slim Armor, its durable and exactly fits the S4.
Urban Armor Gear, best case! Awesome feeling in the hands and I think my phone is safe.
I suggest you the Spigen neo hybrid cases it's great...
+1000 for UAG cases, they are the best in my opinion without making your phone bulky

One word - Urban Armour Gear!!!
wow - thanks for all of your input! i checked out some of these and the UAG looks pretty good for what I am looking for. I also came across the iOttie Notch Case - does anyone have any reviews on this? It looks similar to the UAG and Ballistic but really priced where I can pick up a few for the family.
Also, are these cases you guys are advising good for the ports with chargers and cables etc? That is another pet peeve of mine with tons of cases.
I work in pretty extreme, EXTREME conditions and the Otterbox Commuter serves me well.

All the ports on the UAG are perfectly cut out. I've had no issues with mine. I originally had one for for my gs3 and when I got this phone, the UAG was the first accessory I went looking for.
I would very highly recommend the UAG!

Which case would you put your trust into more?
I currently have the Spigen which I could take back for $15, and I have an Otterbox on the way that I spent $5 through coupons on which I can sell for $25.
But I don't care about money, I only care about which one you think will be best for my phone.
This is the second phone I've bought an Otterbox Commuter for. I love the Commuter's styling and protection and wouldn't buy anything else.
Commuter.i had to the hybrid but the commuter is way better
I have the neo hybrid cc and I love it. I love the fact that it's clear so you can show off the beauty of the phone. It's is very slim and has quite a bit of rubber material around the entire edge which seems to provide total coverage. I haven't dropped it yet, but I feel confident that I'll be good to go if I did. I also advise getting a tempered glass screen protector with this case. It will fit just inside the edges, leaving only a tiny gap around the edge. Hope this helps.
I have the spigen neo hybrid. Dropped the phone twice already? and
Still as it was when it came out of the box..?
The Otterbox Commuter has my vote.
I have the Neo Hybrid CC case and I love it. It adds very little bulk and yet the phone feels secure. I haven't dropped it yet *knock on wood* but it feels like it (the phone) would be OK if I did.
Personal opinion on the look of the Commuter case (and Otterbox cases in general) … This is a stunning phone. Probably the one of if not the nicest Android devices ever. Why would you put it in such a bulky, unattractive case? I mean, unless you work in construction, or have a history of dropping phones like crazy.
Otterbox Commuter
The otterbox commuter is just a tougher case.
I've trusted my phones to otterbox for 3 years now. Never had a broken phone through multiple drops including high speed fumbles that end up skittering across a concrete floor. Even stepped on my phone once with no damage.
Speck CandyShell
Sorry for not answering with Otterbox or Spigen but please hear me out.
I purchased an S4 on launch day 2 years ago and immediately had it in a Spigen Neo Hybrid. I used the Neo Hybrid for several months then switched to an Otterbox commuter which I used until getting the S6.
Between the S4 Neo Hybrid and Otterbox Commuter I felt like the Neo Hybrid looked better but the Otterbox Commuter was more durable.
I purchased a Spigen Neo Hybrid CC for my S6 when it was on Slickdeals discount code for $6.00
I used it for a few days and tried to like it but it just didn't compare to the Speck CandyShell case that I got for my wife's IPhone 6. The Speck CandyShell is a one part case.
I picked up a Speck CandyShell white and black and it will likely be the case I use for the next 2 years. When you put it on the phone it seriously makes the case feel like part of the phone.
The quality is great and it feels like it will protect the phone better than the Neo Hybrid CC. My brother has the base version of the Spigen Neo Hybrid on his S6 and the first thing he said when he felt my case was that he should have gotten it instead.
One downside to the case is that the power button and volume buttons are in the rubberized portion of the case exterior and do not provide the crisp feel of the metalized buttons on the Neo Hybrid case.
Another downside is that the back plastic shows small scratches easily. They do offer a grip version which has rubberized grip on the back which would keep the plastic from contacting the surface when setting the phone down.
Before selecting a case please go to Best Buy and test out the Speck CandyShell. You should be able to pull the case out of the box and put it on your phone to test.
So far I really like my Neo Hybrid. I had an Otterbox Commuter on my M8 and it was ok
Try the uag just got it. I have the commuter not even close. Protective and thin

Commuter.
Hi guys,
I'd buy a clear case for my nexus 6p, the look of this phone is great and i want to show it! Looking around i read about a lot of cases, the case comparison thread of this forum too. In particular i find very interesting Ringke Fusion and Spigen NeoHybrid EX cases, which is better in your opinion? Do they protect sufficiently the phone? For those who have them, they turn yellow over time? I read the Ringke Fusion has a large fingerprint cut, it causes problems of scratches?
If you have other suggestions you are welcome, i'm seeking the right balance between thinness and protection, so i didn't consider the Spigen Ultra Hybrid because it doesn't cover the camera for example. Thank you!
I have three clear cases: Spigen Ultra Hybrid, Nillkin Nature, and a generic TPU I got off eBay.
The Spigen is the only one that hasn't become discolored. I'm not certain, but I'd assume the Neo Hybrid would be the same material. I know you mention not wanting the Ultra Hybrid because it doesn't cover the visor, but I used that case a lot and had no issue. The only scenario I could see it failing would be if you dropped your phone and it landed completely flat and hit a rock right in that unprotected area. You could also use a dbrand visor skin (I do) to avoid scratches. Just a thought.
The Poetic Affinity case I have is thin, covers the camera visor, has good grip and no discoloration. The problem, and I'm not sure if it is just me or not, is the top right side of the case does not fit snug. It moves and clicks when you squeeze it. Kind if obnoxious but other wise good case
