That's a bug in that recovery! Flash a normal CWM 6.0.1.2 or some other recovery to get that to work.

I too get this problem in both philz and cot... so revert back to cwm

Workaround is, boot up the phone then mount sd card.

Ofcourse it will work.. Once you boot up your phone it doesn;t matter what recovery you have! The Android system will mount it...

Open up the Zip you flashed, open the kernel folder and flash boot_onesc2.img in fastboot.

Yes u can downgrade or upgrade without laptop..
There is an option in TWRP to flash zip/img file kinly check
You can use flashify or rashr... Install one of them and use it from your rom...

Are u using twrp terminal to flash TWRP....?
If so don't do that..
Follow this steps
1. Download v3.0.0 recovery IMG
2. Install like ur do for .zip files while selecting files make sure u select image in the dropdown menu
3. Later it will ask boot/recovery, select recovery
4. Reboot TWRP

If you know basics about Linux command line usage, you can run busybox commands like less or vi, or run (statically linked) binaries that you uploaded yourself.

Ya u can flash old twrp through twrp itself.....or also u can flash by flashify app..... Which required root.....
I need a way to root my xolo era 2x and install twrp. Please can anyone help me ? Need it very urgently.

use kingroot and then use flashify and then flash twrp and YOU should be good

You need the twrp for your device, flash it through fastboot
Then after flashing you must immediately go to twrp,don't allow it to go to android else the stock recovery will rereplace it
But where can i find TWRP recovery for this device ? Can u please help me?

"No such file or directory" means that the file "recovery.img" does not exist in the folder/directory that CMD is running in. Make sure you navigate to the right folder where "recovery.img" is located on your computer (or whatever it is called: "somename.img").
