Anyone tried newest Magisk on Pixel 3 XL running Beta 5? Newest canary release works great on Beta 4 but I'm afraid to try it on 5.

Black Google boot animation with Q5. Best thing Google has ever done, hands down.

Notification for Q beta 5 popped up tonight. I downloaded and installed. It's cool, I like the dark theme. And I like the option for 3 different gesture controls; the new Gestures, the Pie 2 button gestures, and old school 3 buttons.
But the biggest feature I wanted, they said was in beta 5, doesn't seem to be. The swipe down from anywhere on the screen to pull down the notification shade, like all third party launchers do. It was said to be in beta 5. How do I enable it?

Ask for Default Application Each Use

Is there any way whatsoever to make it ask me what default app I want to choose each time. As in, the old Just Once/Alway complete action dialog?
I've tried Complete Action Plus. Doesn't seem to have any effect.

Nope. It's lollipop forced. Maybe marshmallow it changes... Get used to it.

I'd love this too, but unfortunately I don't think there is. Sucks because I have to keep switching between Adobe and Write on PDF for my business. **** is annoying.

I just came across something last night that's a decent workaround for most things.
Better Open With (sorry, no link; new member) prompts you with it's own UI, which is still pretty intuitive. It works by having you set the default application for each intent it supports (which isn't a lot, but it's most) to itself. Then, when you open something, it will bring up it's own dialog box that's pretty similar to the old style.
It doesn't have as much customization as Complete Action Plus did, but it gets you 80% there.

I thought it was lollipop forced as well, but both my Note 4 and my Note 10.1 2014 are running 5.1.1 and give me the choice of running specific apps just once or always, could it be the Note 5?

What is your preference, Latest Nougat QK5 or Oreo Beta?

What is your preference, Latest Nougat QK5 or Oreo Beta? If it's Oreo, what version do you like better? Is the QKS the latest for 8+? I'm particularly interested if anyone has issues with Android Auto W/ Dodge Uconnect.

I like oreo beta. It has some stock oreo features. Fade in album art. A kind of cool animation when you slide notifications up. Also you can snooze notifications. The samsung launcher has notification dots. QKS is the latest s8+ one and the S8 one is QL7

I do like the Oreo beta. However, the option to go to "app info" on long-press of an icon in the stock launcher app drawer has been removed.

Agree with this, also installing apks from multiple sources seem to be a hassle for me. Also having issues with some apps not thinking Knox is above 2.x.. I'm still rocking the beta so its minimal but hoping the first two won't be an issue w/ official.

My name is in the dock, the blue dot is battery charge, touching a dot opens app of choice, swiping a dot opens folder containing apps of choice. Live wall paper background. I keep the lettering on the dark side to avoid screen burn in or ghosting and provide a bit of privacy, making it difficult for a stranger close to me from reading my appointments etc.

OnePlus 6 Android P Developer Beta - gestures

Hi guys. I want to install Android P beta on OnePlus 6. I have a question, does the phone support such gestures as Pixel 2 / XL or Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s? All the movies I've seen are the normal navigation bar. Help me.

Sadly, I thought if the beta system is directly from Google then all the phones will have everything themselves. Unfortunately, I do not like the gestures of Oxygen OS at all, I prefer the navigation bar. Google gestures (like Pixel 2 / XL) are the best! It saddens me that MIX 2S has these gestures, and stock has MIUI, which is completely different..
You would have to go into the settings and enable it. The gestures are turned off by default.

Shortcuts are blacks and notification panel is white. With dark theme, panel become black and shortcuts still same color.
It's not beautiful and not logical so is it a bug ?
What about your phone ?

Lol i am not using pixel 4a but using pixel 5 GSI on my Nokia 6.1. that GSI ported from Pixel 5 .i had a lot pixel GSI.i had no issue like this .try resetting your device maybe it will fix it or contact Google from Pixel 4a .if not search YouTube or Google for that issue
Same here on Pixel 4a for a week.
The first Android 12 update worked great, i got the full notification bar.
But now, i'm stuck with 4 first buttons as shown by fatomic. I can't slide/pull one time more to open the full notification menu. So i can't access anymore to others buttons, notification menu edition, settings shortcut or light control.
The pixel 3 got a12, and it has the same thing.
From research I've seen, google did this because it uses less resources than an opaque type background.
I don't really like it but find it's not that hard to live with, don't really use that pulldown shade that much. And the rest of the system does seem quite a bit more responsive. Scrolling is very fast.
