Honor 6x Global ROM NEEDED - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

Hello XDAers .. anyone knows wich model numer is the Honor 6X Global version..? also anyone knows where to find a Global ROM for 6x..? Can it be debranded to Global..? The oeminfo file can be downloaded..? I don´t need NFCs so thos rom can be perfect for me... Any help please..? Thanks in advance and best regards.

Honestly i never saw a build for Honor 6X marked as "global", nor I've read about it here on XDA. Every build is region-specific, so i suppose that the best way to achieve what you want is to flash a stock AOSP GSI, Phh-Treble builds for being accurate. You'd need an unlocked bootloader in way to do everything, though.

Thanks so much for answering... I was asking because i have tried 2 different roms (debranding using shashank1320 guides) and they have not fullfilled my needs.. then, just googleing, found Honor 6xes for sale on china stores like gearbest and those alike claiming to be " global " versions.. then I thought in the posibility of finding one of those ROMS on the web.. (nowadays i keep searching...) The point is.. i read users post saying they do debranding to 6X but the won´t flash this or that other rom because they don´t wanna lose 4G bands.. so it came to my mind that is a real thing that bands and frecuencies on 6x are limited by regions and software... and going from that maybe and just maybe i was going to be able to sove my need... and that need is the activation and use of the 3G Band on 900 MHz and or the 4G Band on 1800 MHz.. as the users say all hardware on 6x is the same.. changing on software for different regions... Well i´m about to give up because after 2 rebrandings of my L24 variant i´m unable to use those bands so i´m stucked on 2G extra slow internet conection... (can only use whatsapp for texting, and sometimes facebook mesenger) ... I was hoping also some guru tells me " Oh thats is achievable on the 6x if you root it an edit this file.. or that file.." but no i´m not that lucky... So any help here will be very apreciated.. even an advice telling me to stop because that is completely impossible... Thanks in advance for any consideration regarding this issue..

There will never be a global ROM man, you can be sure of this since that official software support for Honor 6X has ended almost a year ago. About what other users are saying i can't say the same, i'm on a GSI actually and my 4G bands works just as they should. I own an European 6X rebranded to India variant and i never had problems with bands. The faster and better way to take away the doubt however is to try by yourself. Yes, the hardware is the same (except for the presence of the NFC chip not included in all variants, but it's okay since that you don't care about this), based on Hi6250 architecture.
About your last sentence, i'm not aware of strings to add to build.prop in way to amplify or remove bands signal also because probably that depends by the device and the SIM of your provider. I helped you as i could: trying by yourself without waiting for a "guru" to come is faster than keep waiting, don't you think?

Thanks a million for your answer... i did the debranding first to india rom L22, did not work.. the did it for european rom L21 and it was the same.. no 3g nor 4g... so now goign back to original L24 configuration... but thanks anyway.. some friend in US that worked for Honor/huawei told me that models made for USA market does not have 3G 900 MHz and 4G 1800 MHz bansd since are not in use in that country.. so i think that 6x and other models of different brands made for that market have different hardware configuration... saldy i give up.. mostly because i fear to hard brick the phone leaving it unusable and thats the last thign i want beacuse i really like this phone.. .. . if i manage to get another phone (i like and i want a P20 Lite) then i will keep trying with other roms on the 6x... thanks a million and if this serves you i tell you that you have a new friend in Cuba... Best regards...

Many people debranded their L24 to L22, so it's not impossible but indeed your friend is right about the bands: those vary with regions, so if your L24 doesn't have the bands that your SIM requires then there will never be a way to install them after market. Another Huawei device?! You can do whatever you want obviously but if you're custom ROM/GSI oriented, just don't. Other brands offers great quality/price hardware and overall, they're third-party friendly.
Nice to have contacts in Cuba anyway best regards to you, see ya!

Basebands for OP7 and OP7 Pro interchangeable?

Hey folks;
I have a OP7 GM1900 Chinese version running global rom out of the box. I am using it in Canada (Bell Mobility) where the bands seem to be compatible, but I am getting weak LTE reception and it seems that other folks are reporting similar. I am thinking that the baseband support is not tuned for North America on the OP7 but is on the Pro?
Out of curiosity, since the OP7 and 7 Pro are running the same chipset and the Pro is being sold here....is it possible that flashing the baseband from the 7 Pro on a 7 is advisable? I have some experience with flashing roms etc. from my Samsung days but this might be out of my league, but wondering if this is something likely that we will see devs or modders try at some point?

It could be, but you have any specific reasons why it would be? Again, the OP7's radio is not optimized for North America, while the Pro is. They are both running the same chipset.
Back when I had my Galaxy Note 1 the radio support was horrible for Canada and LTE didn't work at all. Folks here on XDA extracted the ATT modem and solved the issue for us Canadians until a proper update came out. I thought it was a good idea and a smart thing to do, and I am wondering if it's likely that the same could happen here as a lot of people are importing the OP7 and specifically, the Chinese one which is cheaper. This kind of tinkering is in the spirit of XDA, I thought.
OP7 global baseband
I have the same problem When i want To connect To LTE band in my country ,
Did u find any solution ????
Can i change my baseband to global version ?
You should post this question in xda OP7 pro forum as well. That one is more active.

I'm considering getting this phone next

I was surprised how well this phone is supported on XDA and it looks quite good on paper, i have 1 question i cannot find answer to:
Does this phone support Carrier Aggregation in Europe? (4G+)
It you buy EU version then yes. If you buy India, China (RMQ) or any other version than EU then definitely not. So I heard.

Nice. But in my country mi 9 lite 6gb and realme xt 8gb are similarly priced. If I decides to increase my budget then I will go for realme xt. Sd712 over sd710.
According to realme support no it doesn't.
Also I'm based in Italy and can confirm you there is no sign of 4g+ even though I live near a Tri-Band bts (3-7-20) and my place is full of two and three bands bts.
Considering to return the phone for exactly this reason. My old op3t had full 4g+ in the same position

I still can't believe eu version doesn't support 4g+. I mean did you check sites if they show whether or not this device supports it or not? I mean I definitely did before buying but I only see which bands does the device support. Not the technology (3g and 4g is present but I don't see 4g+). If you didn't check for it then why did you buy? If you did check but it was written to be present but it is not, shouldn't you get s full refund or device return + refund??

I can't believe it either, it was a BIG surprise to see it lacks it. In 2019, ANY and i mean ANY device you buy got a form of CA, even a Huawei MTK I just bought for dad for 99 euros. Of course this is also specified, for example as you can see there is mention for LTE-A (which is LTE+)
https://www.gsmarena.com/realme_5_pro-9801.php
I couldn't believe it so I sent an email to Realme customer service asking if the phone indeed supported LTE-A like specified and like supported by its chipset (snapdragon 712 is a 3*20mhz capable chipset) and they replied "realme 5 pro doesn't support LTE+"
Then, after more than TEN days, they replied again to the same email by saying that they were sorry for the previous reply and that the phone DOES support LTE+ (is this a professional service?)
I asked them how I can check which bands gets aggregated and why there is no sign of a 4g+ or lte+ icons like all other phones and... they never replied
I've read around that Realme support is a total crap, but I really tried and hoped they can answer about specs of a phone they produce and sell directly.
To dig further another guy here on xda sent some network guru screenshots where it is clearly shown that it only can catch a single band and not multiple.
So at this point I'm thinking about it. I've got until 31/01/2020 to be able to get a full refund but kinda I still like the phone speed, but this network problem and the camera (which is the worst 48Mpixel sensor I've ever tried, but it seems to be a software issue) kills my willingness to keep it. I was also waiting if any new update can fix either of the problems so I guess I'll wait a lil more, but still I can't advice to buy this phone. Xiaomi on the same price level doesn't have any of these major issues even though their chipsets are a little behind.

Wow... Just wow. All these bits and pieces of info are priceless and shocking to me. Thank you. Me too, I prefer the speed of the phone, the battery and ufs file storage, furthermore vooc charging. Amazingly conformable for my hand as well. Overall I'm really in love with it but kind of hate it at the same tine. My major problems are camera and connectivity. Both are extremely crucial when you take a look at a smartphone. Btw even oneplus uses the same sensor as our device. A developer of rm5p guessed that perhaps the difference is using different lens, not the sensors. I'm not sure. Anyway, we know more now at least. It's a start.

They are not similarly priced at all, mi 9 lite was on sale for 45,000 which is much cheaper than xt 54,000, sd712 vs sd710 very slight difference but 9 lite has its own advantages such as better selfie cam.

Mate 30 pro china variant volte Issue in India

Hello ,
i recently brought mate 30 pro from china , the device is pretty cool but i am facing only one issue in India
i can not see option to enable VOLTE because of which i can't make or receive calls/sms on the device.
if anyone could help me with this that would be great , i would prefer a not root method(as i have 2 year warranty and in some time i head back to china ) but root method will also work .
i have tried es explorer and all 4g only apps nothing seems to work as it is Android 10 and major thing being the build.props has only 600 right so i can't even copy :- says permission denied .
Thanks
Even i am looking for a solution to this issue
Mate 30 Pro VOLTE Issue India
Well I am also facing the same issue. The problem is that Huawei India is responsible to take all the network parameters from the telcos in India and then they need to float on OTA patch to enable VOLTE services in Mate 30 Pro for all Indian mobile networks. Reason for Volte not being available is that Mate 30 Pro is not officially launched so Huawei India hasn't tested and worked on Volte for this device. I tried to reach Huawei India testing team to support on this and try to give a fix ASAP but cant get a proper point of contact. If you can reach and push them on this then may be we can get a resolution.

the day before yesterday they contacted me and asked more details about the issue and and assured that you will be getting fix very soon.
I have the same problem in the UK. I had both VoLTE and VoWIFI on both my Sims on my mate 20 pro international version. On this Chinese version mate 30 pro, neither works in the UK. I hear that the international version again has both these features working fine.
Would be good for a quick fix as my phone reception can be a little troublesome where I live, so used voice over Wi-fi a lot.

Hi dears.. Any updates ? I got a call from them today and they said my mobile is Chinese version so it won't support VOLTE in India. If VOLTE is needed for use O should buy it from India if this model is not available then other model which supports VOLTE can be bought.
I had a mate 10 pro Chinese version and it didn't work but changing to UK ROM, it then worked ok. It is a firmware difference and they obviously don't use it yet in China, hence no need to add it.
It is a shame that all of us early adopters have to suffer. It can only be a small change to the firmware to add it to our ROM as a future update. OR allow us access to unlock our boot loader and flash a ROM of our choice.
I too have the same issue
I wonder if I have this issue - well, I guess I do, but the problem I am concerned about is that it disabled the 2nd sim when I make a call on my 1st sim. I want to be able to make a call on my 1st sim and to still be able to use data on my 2nd sim.
Is that the same problem/root issue?
Voice sim is 'EE'. Data sim is 'Three'. Both in the UK.

Is this because there's something specifically different about the Mate 30 Pro, or is it more a matter of time needed to Kunky to figure it out?

OnePlus 8 (IN2010) Chinese Bands vs Europe

Hello,
i would just like to know if OnePlus 8 (China version) is good enough to support 4G LTE in EU, does it have all the bands required? I've read about "band 28" which it lacks and that this will be used for 5G? I don't care for 5G (yet), so my question is, will it work for everything else, is it good enough, i'm from Slovenia if that helps, i've been checking the bands, but i'm too confused to know what to think about this, those are too confusing for me, i've been checking them, but i'm just not sure, i think it should be fine, but i'm not 100% sure, so if anyone who knows this stuff can tell me, or even better, someone who has that OnePlus 8 phone can tell me, that would be great (=
Greetings
I have just ordered a CN version for use in the UK and from what i have read it lacks 1 frequency (band 32 i think) which from what i'm aware o2 in UK doesn't use .... Is this correct anyone? (Sorry if this a thread hijack)

Hi, just to be sure we're on the same page, I read that IN2010 is the international version (5 4gLTE bands support) and IN2020 is the Chinese one, which is missing one band used here in Europe.

Oh thx, I didn't see that one coming , so I have 2 questions : where to search for those infos (regional variants numbers I mean) and is this a software matter or a hardware matter ? (Will there be missing/China specials bands in it or it's just software)
Edit:
Are there any global version of the OnePlus 8, if so what would be its regional variant name ?

I just use google to find out a variant. The main differences are hardware related, specifically the bands of the device. There is also a chinese version of Oxygen OS which is called Hydrogen OS , but this can change easily by flashing global unlocked OxygenOS without any compromises.
Here you can learn more about the bands in each version : https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/g1rm7e/oneplus_8_pro_versions_and_4glte_and_5g_nr/
Edit: I think there is not a global version bandwise. (US, Europe, India and China as far as i know )

Hi,
Thanks for all this clarification, indeed I've been kinda fooled by marketing speech...
I've bought the OnePlus 8 not on the OnePlus website but on another one, and the announce said "OnePlus International Version IN2010", I was like "cool, plus it's cheap, let's get this".
Now I understand the business behind the whole website (a French one): they buy in China, flash the global rom manually and sells it cheaper, but make a little margin on the final price. That's why they call it international, just because of the ROM!
I knew (but still wanted confirmation) about missing bands a HydrogenOS and now I fully understand the market scheme. So I'll be missing B28 band (used in France with my career for 4G LTE)and an EU-compatible charger. No big deal but I'm kinda disappointed in myself, not being able to see through marketing speech and candidly trusting attractive prices... Well, we learn as we make mistakes (and I'm not ready to forgot that one).
One last think, kil-movil had a section for the OnePlus 8 called "Global" with every bands marked as available, and the model number was still IN2010. I guess they're part of the deal, since when I clicked on "see offers" I was redirected to the website I bought it in.
Even the seller was lying as he said "compatible with every bands in France". And when people ask, he was denying it every single time
Thanks for your explanations tho, I'll be able to warn the next ones at least.

Hi,
Thanks for all this clarification, indeed I've been kinda fooled by marketing speech...

That is unfortunate. Can't you claim RMA or something?

Yup don't worry, I can return it and having all my money back but I don't think I will, my Nextbit Robin (daily driver) is dying and not having B28 4G out of 4 other antennas available isn't a big deal. I have only 50 Mo of data so I don't use 4G often. I would have been bothered by the charger but the seller claims (if it's not a lie) that he gives us an adapter. (Comments says he does, so hopefully he'll do)
Right now the only thing I have to do is getting past the disillusionment with some good music. Have you any title to recommend?
I have here listed supported 4G & 5G bands and Carrier Aggregation combinations of OnePlus 8:
China variant: https://cacombos.com/device?model=IN2010

IN2013= EU version, not global, there is no global version.
But thx for the website, it's nice to have that tool
Is it possible to activate the VoLTE service (Vodafone ITA) with IN2010?
Hello, I have just ordered the oneplus 8 through Fnac and I think it is the version IN2010, seem like I cant find any EU version from fnac ( sorry im new in France )
My question is do you know any others site selling op8 EU version if not, does the IN2010 work fine in france?

Is G970F/DS really worth it compare to G970U1?

I wanted to order the international G970F/DS but they sent me the U1.
Apart from the lack of double sim support, it is now around 70€ less in the color i want.
Should I really get the G970F? I didn't really understand what are the real differences, i read here someone saying "I wish I would have bought the G970F", but at the same time it seems (I'm in France) than the U1 is working? And than updates are available here (the topic).
I really don't know what to do, usually i choose the best but now i'm a bit confused if i will really loose some functions if i keep the U1 or not.
Thanks if you can help
Apart from the different SOC(Exynos vs Qualcomm), you will not be able to unlock the bootloader on your model since it has the Qualcomm SOC, and only Exynos International models are unlockable. So you won't able able to install custom ROMs. But I hear the Qualcomm SOC is faster and more efficient so that's a plus.
Qualcomm soc is better in almost everything, speed, less Heat, better battery, better for gaming, also some people say that the camera processing it's better too
In what will custom rom help me?
I actually don't need much, but i'm affraid an USA version unlocked, won't work very well in france for some reasons.
I heard several things such as : - wifi calling not working - sometimes reception problems EVEN if bands are the same - sometimes google app store france not working - sometimes unpossibility to download some apps (like local apps) - samsung pay not working..
I'm not sure of anything and that's why I wanted to know here if you have more knowledge.
Maybe this model need manual updates all the time, and a lot of tweaking, in order to just work in france with a french simcard? (compare to the 970F were we can find local operators custom roms..)
