Hi Folks,
first thanks for the new rom. Here my experiences/questions.
First of all, the installation went quite smooth.
I am experiencing the following problems:
1) when starting the device I get the message the file screenrotate.exe cannot be opended. Ehter it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. Same for sms_alert_fix.exe
2) phone link at the left bottom of the screen results in Shortcut Target Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename
3) active sync with sbs2003 exchange and own certification authority results in The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact you exchange server administrator or isp to install a valid vertificate on the server Support code: 0x0072F0D. I have downloaded the CA certificate as a file certnew.cer, copied it over to WM2005 and installed it. It is availiable under settings - certificates - root
4) Start - programs is has corrupted programs IA Album, IA Camera, xBackup
Any ideas how to work on these problems?
Tnx
What is the exactly name of the rom file you have downloaded to flash your device ?
XDA2_WM2k5_1.70a.96.WWE.zip ??? if this , it is a corrupted rom ...
try to flash http://tofclock33.free.fr/rom/Wm2k5_170.zip
Downloaded your link and still the same.....
OK, my mistake.
Did not read the installation instruction up to the end.
after modifying the boot options it appears that point 1,2 and 4 are solved.
But there is still the active sync problem.

But there is still the active sync problem.
Changed HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001017 from 128 to 144
My Domain runs its own CA. So I went to
http://<certserver>/certsrv and downloaded "Download CA certificate", copied it over to XDA and doubleclicked on it.
I can see it now in the certificates
If I manually go to OWA using internet explorer I receive the message "The certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust"
How can I trust it?
XDA2_WM2k5_1.70a.96.WWE.zip ??? if this , it is a corrupted rom ...
I have used the above file from day 1 and it was not corrupt!!!
OK, sorted out my last issue as well.
Besides installing the CA-Certificate I needed to install the Server Certificate as well.
This could be done by opening MMC, adding the Certificates snapin for local machine and exporting under personal certificates the servers certificate.
Copy the export to MMC and doubleclick on it. That's it.
i installed the wm2k5_170.zip
but have problems..
when trying to install any program..
most of the programs needs to be installed to local, but it seems i have 6 mb memory after installing the rom..
i have 32 mb storage memory and 1gb sdram.. but for example pocket plus wants to install itself to device memory.. and when trys to install it says that i dont have enough space..
A slightly strange ugrade problem
TofClock - thanks for the 1.65 and 1.70 upgrades. I've had a weird problem that's stopped me performing the upgrade. I thought I'd ask if it's something specific to your upgrades or some other problem:
I've got Buzz's 1.60c.00 with his 96Mb RAM disk on my Humalaya and it works like a charm. However, when I tried the 1.65 and 1.70 upgrades HimaUpgradeUt.exe failed both times with Error 101 - connection error. But my Himalaya IS securely in its cradle and seems to be communicating properly with the PC: ActiveSync, for example, seems to work perfectly.
The cradle is connected directly to a USB port on my PC and not through a hub, so I'm at a loss what's causing the problem.
Has anyone else had the same experience?
I have got
rom version: 2.06.00WWE
Rom date: 06/14/04
radio version: 1.18.00
protocol version: 1337.38
extended ROM version: xda2jopjo.v3.2zs
When upgraded to xda2jopjo.v3.2zs I had no problems. When I loaded xda2jopjo.v3.2zs it did tell me the all the information under "your Pocket PC software is about update from:", and then it loaded properly. However, with every version of 2005 it gives me none of the information on what I am updating from, and the only information he gives me I'm updating to is "ce image version: 1.70a.96.
And when I click on the upgrade button anyway it does try to upgrade, there is even some activity on the xda, but every time after about 10 minutes it tells me "the current software is now being erased from your PC", it tries a little longer and then tells me "there has been a problem while updating your pocket PC software. To continue the update please:
1 disconnect your Pocket PC and the USB cradle.
2 preform a normal reset by pressing the reset button as picture left show.
3 reconnect your Pocket PC and the USB cradle and run this pocket PC software update program again.
I've tried this several times, but it hasn't worked.
Can anybody help?

clrcad.exe not working when I try to use it before starting android 2.2 on my htc hd2. need help thanks
I had the same problem as well, hoping for a solution
+1
Same here, I run it before launching linux but still have teh same audio problem.
bump.
Anybody know what problem is?
bumpin...
same problem here.
hm. No help huh...
I've got the same problem.
ditto... i think we need some support over here lol
I can't run it any more - it says "CLRCAD cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found... blah blah" I've tried deleting it and copying over a new copy but it still doesn't work - it worked the first couple of times though?
I have the same problem. And even more: after trying run clrcad.exe now I can't run any exe from sd card!
Solution to CLRCAD.exe will not execute.
I have an HTC HD2. I have been playing around with different android builds for the last week. About two days ago CLRCAD.exe stopped working for me. I ignored it and continued to load. It was only when I got an extemely garbbled called that I realized how important it was to have CLRCAD.exe working. I tried reformatting my SD Card with not luck in getting it to work. Tried searching the forum and gave up and googled the problem which in turn lead me to this post and it seems a lot of people have this issue. I don't know the cause yet....but in a flash I thought about doing a factory restore for the windows 6.5. Eureaka!!!!! that solved my problem !!!!!
I done the same thing thinking a factory restore would solve the problem - but no..., it's not recognised on me pc nor my device - keep gettin the error "This is not a windows 32bit application."
same problem here.
Winmob does simply nothing if I click on clrcad.exe. No question if I want to run it or something.
Anybody got any idea what the problem could be?

Did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem and have searched for the resolution but have not found anything. Help!
Hard Reset worked for me - but still now I have to deal with black-outs (no wake-up screen up)...
Raman HTC hd2
Hi have installed successfully android on htc hd2,but having problem with calls.
i will not able to hear voice of others.
have run the clrad.exe even after, any suggestions ?
This is quite strange, because I have had Froyostone Sense V3.1 running on my stock HD2 for nearly a month without any issues. Then out of the blue, the screen went blank yesterday, so I rebooted, and then tried to run CLRCAD from the Android folder.
I then got "CLRCAD cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found" message. So I downloaded the latest Froyosense, and copied over the system.ext2 and the zImage files, and a clean CLRCAD and HARET. But still I get the same thing. And I get that message on HARET as well.
Does anyone know the cause and best resolution, preferably without the factory reset?
Same issue here too. Interestingly, when I run CLRCAD, i get the same interference on the WMOS as well as ANDROID.
same here.....the exe simply does nothing when i click it.
and i cannot load android at all...............after loading the kernel for a while , the phone rebooted back to WM!!!
I am able to run CLRAD.exe and I know that is normal that nothing happens but I have problem that after loading ANDROID there is no any sound. I also tried to reset factory settings... So is there any solution to this or not?
SOLVED by Kwbr_HD2 ROM, but again stopped working after few reboots!
The first time i excecuted clrcad.exe a message appeared "do you really.. bla bla bla" (u know what i mean) which ich answered with YES. Then some days later i did a reboot and since this time the message didn't appear. But Android works also great without the message. I tryed to figure out if there is running clrcad.exe in wm but i cant see it. So, i have no clue if clrcad.exe is running, but Android works. The Sound is good!
Okay, I did search multiple threads that indicated "Application not installed", but none of them appear to have anything to do with gingerbreak, nor this particular phone.
I've followed the steps (at least the very few at the beginning) according to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197991
GingerBreak-v1.20.apk is on the phone's micro SD card.
Using the file manager app, I navigate to the SD card, see the Gingerbread apk and click on it...I get the message:
"Do you want to install this application?
Allow this application to:
(yellow triangle with exclamation point) System tools
read system log files"
So I click "Install".
It goes to the installing screen with the progress bar for all of about 1 second and then immediately I get a screen that says "Application not installed" and the only thing I can do from there is click Done.
I've rebooted the phone at least 15 times. Same result every time.
Phone info: Virgin Mobile, model number VM670.
Android Version 2.2.1
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
Build Number FRG83
SW Version VM670ZV4
HW Version 1.2
So that's where I'm stuck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Dave
Try downloading a different version of ginger break, I used it on my optimus v and it installed fine, look on fourshared there is a lot of different versions of ginger break
NookColor ICS 9 Nightly "Overclocked"
I assume that you mean try using Gingerbreak v1.1 or 1.0, yes? didn't those have bugs to fix or something like that?
So I downloaded v1.1 and that appears to have installed properly. Superuser now appears in my applications. Now to move on to the rest of the process...I'm sure there will be more questions to come!
Sorry for late reply but yes that's
Wat I meant for version, seem like u got it working
Sent from my HTC_A510c using XDA App
Thanks, believe me I appreciate any reply at all. Of course, as I mentioned, I figured there would be other "issues". Now that I have installed gingerbreak, I'm trying to move on to the next step, that being I'm trying to copy the recovery image and flash image GUI app to the sd card from my computer. Unfortunately, ever since gingerbreak got installed, now my computer doesn't seem to recognize something with the phone. When I connect it to the computer via usb I get the little pop-ups that say Found New Hardware, Mass Storage USB Device, blah blah blah. But then when I click on my computer it's not listed...I just see "Removable Disk (E)". I double click on that and it tells me to insert a disk into drive E. I've reinstalled the LG driver, restarted the computer, rebooted the phone...same thing every time.
GRRRR! Frustrated.
I also tried downloading the cyanogen7 and gapps .zip files directly from the phone's browser but they both gave me a message indicating the download failed because the content is not supported on this phone.
I wish I could help you but i don't have an answer to that, if I were you I would ask that question in the lg optimus v forum, people there no that phone like they made it, good luck to you
NookColor ICS 9 Nightly "Overclocked"
no worries, thanks again for even replying...fortunately I used my brain for once and remembered I could just use a microSD to SD adapter...then put that in my regular USB card reader and copied the files directly onto the microSD card.
Continuing on...we'll see how it goes.....
Hi, a while back I rooted my T-mo mytouch Q. It was fine for a while and I
enjoyed the benefits of having a rooted phone, but some problems I can't seem
to find the answer to occured. First off, I can't install my phone driver onto any
computer anymore. It says failed to install driver. At first I thought this was my
old computer's fault (it had vista) but now I got a brand new computer with
windows 7 and it is still a problem. Second of all, I uninstalled some system apps
I didn't seem to find a use for (browser because I used dolphin, some widgets)
and Titanium backup will not restore these apps (spins endlessly). I have tried
manually pushing them to the system folder but it wont allow me to. Any help
with either of these problems will be much appreciated.
I've been wanting to make my LG Optimus Chic E720 run a little smoother; today I tackled it. After rooting with z4root, I installed Root Explorer, and proceeded to move many system apps to my SD card, and deleted a few as well.. After moving ome.something app (im sorry I can't even see the name now), I started receiving force close messages for my messaging and phone apps. I managed to reboot, move everything back, and reboot again. Still doing it, so I did a factory reset.. Still doing it, so I did a hard reset.. and its still doing it.
Now, I no longer even have a file manager to install apks. Browser, messaging, phone, camera and android market don't work.. adb shell comes back with Device not found even though the phone is detected and pcsync app runs. I've been at this for like 5-6 hours reading and trying to fix it. I can't put a new rom on, because I can't install terminal emulator or use adb shell. I'm so frustrated, I feel sick to my stomach.. and I can't afford a new phone. Please help me?
This is what I was going to try installing to fix the problem, when I found out adb shell does not detect my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046135#13185924
I tried Android Injector to install Root Explorer again, no good. Also tried PdaNetA4013 to install usb drivers and it can't detect the phone either. I can still enable removable storage, and put files on, but then I can't access them on the phone.
Well, looks to be solved. After getting the phone to be properly detected (seemed to randomly work on the 100th time enabling/disabling mass storage), I followed the instructions in the link below. I used a different version of firmware than offered on the page. v10c_00.kdz downloaded from an xda developers application, original lg firmware its called. Can't believe its working again, I didn't get any responses but thanks to people like the ones who contribute here, my phone is saved.
I can't post a link but its lg-phones dot org --- how to flash lg optimus chic
Edit: Seems my phone has gone back to being network locked. Bummer.
