I am using galaxy GT I5510.Since official gingerbread update is not available in india I would like to install firmware which can be installed for asian users.I read the precautions to be taken before installing a rom, first thing i found was to backup the efs folder. But i cannot find the efs folder(rooted, tried to find it using root explorer),also i cannot create a backup with efs professional.(Getting Can't Locate Mount Point! error).
Is it safe to continue with gingerbread update???
I am afraid that after installing the rom ,on reboot i will get an error msg csaying efs cannoted be mounted like that

Hello,
What do you mean by deleted system files? Is it /system? if yes, phone will bootloop because there in no OS in there.
You may try flashing a custom rom via TWRP

Hi, i tryed to flash the stock rom because after the trwp flash, the phone get stuck in a boot loop blinking the first samsung logo, but after trying flash the stock, it says that the device binary is 9 and the rom is 8, but i cant find the binary 9 rom in any place, only 8. I have the trwp installed, so I was thinking if I format all data (system and files) and try to flash again, it will work ?
Also im from Brazil (SM-J701MT), and the device was buyed in Paraguay (SM-J701M) too. Should i install the SM-J701MT ROM right ?
The rom that i trying to flash is J701MTVJS8CTA1
I hope I help you in this
hey friend i am new to xda but according to i understand in mexico there is a binary 9 for the j7 neo i see you have the name of the page is ""SamFw ""there you can enter:risa: the model and see
I recommend flashing the M variant because as the device is that Variant I don't know if it affects you to flash a MT variant and I understand that the model is a J7 Neo
I hope it helps you and to avoid mistakes use the last odin
ehm i don't know much english too and i'm not very active let us say XD

Hello, good afternoon everyone, I'm here with a samsung galaxy J7 cell phone with corrupted partitions, I would like to know if someone could help me and recover his system, thanks in advance for your help.
Specific model: Galaxy SM-J710MN/DS
Have you tried just flashing stock via Odin?
It pretty much re-formats all the partitions
u can flash .pit from a zip j7 rom
