I just replaced the Battery in my Honor 8.
Replacing the battery was pretty easy. Everything seemed to work fine.
However when I try to charge the battery its only charging between 300 and 500 mA. The phone even says "fast charging" when I plug the cable. I have tested the (original) charger + cable with other phones and it charges at around 1900+ mA.
I bought the battery from Mytrendyphone. The description says: Original Huawei P9, P9 Lite, P10 Lite, P20 Lite, P8 Lite (2017), P smart, Honor 8, Honor 5c, Honor 7 lite battery HB366481ECW - 3000 mAh - Li-Ion - 3.82V.
So the question why is it charging at around only 300-500 mA? Could I have done something wrong when I replaced the battery or have I maybe bought a bad battery?

Try buying another battery. I don't know what is causing this but It's probably caused by the battery itself. Try buying NOHON battery from AliExpress. I can recommend it!

I have a lenovo p2 and when i use its own charger it heats a lot (the phone), and i think it can damage the battery... The only way to prevent it from fest charging is to use another charger? If yes, what charger can i buy from gearbest or another store? I like to use my xiaomi redmi note 3 pro charger (5v, 2A), it charges at a good speed and doesnt heat. But i will sell the xiaomi, so i dont know what charger to buy (doesnt found the xiaomi for sale). Thanks!

Hello there i recently moved from Mi 9t Pro to this device because i got the 12gb GM1917 version kinda cheap plus i love OOS 10x more than MIUI but anyways..
The phone did not come with the original charger; instead it was with a Rexin Dash charger which was a bit of a bumper for me
Then i decided to buy one on the market but i kinda feel it is not original and here comes my question for you..
How many mA do you get while warp charging?
I know it changes depending on battery charge but i tried when it was 20% and warp charge supposely reach about about 5500mA for some mins and then reduce to like 3300mA right?
Mine never did that plus what make this even more strange is that with the Rexin charger i get some mA above that Warp charger.
I can still return it so if you could like share your charge info give me any advice let me know please.

Im gonna send back that fake charger, i tried a dash charge of a One Plus 7 and even that charger is faster than this "warp" charger.

I'd recommend a quick charge 3 charger of some kind... that's what I use anyway.
Huawei charger doesn't charge as fast - I have one from p30 pro. Huawei has a different standard.
Depends on your budget. Look for something with Quick charge 3 or 4 support.
I bought a Baseus Gan 2 Pro for myself, and so far is fine - but is a bit expensive. It charges almost as fast as original one
