Hi,
I am considering buying new Oneplus 7 on some other market than EU, because of pricing of OP company in different regions (especially Europe) is just outrageous. Buying it in USA is an issue because of the import fees (plus everyone is saying that in USA you can buy only TMobile version of the phone..)
So I thought abot United Arab Emirates. My father is an expat there, and the price ends up 130 EUR cheaper then Europe price (which is shameful, shameful, shameful, that everywhere in the world the phone is at least 130 EUR cheapaer), speaking about the Blue variant, 8/256 GB thru amazon.ae.
But I am wondering if there is any catch about UAE version, it is very secretive and restrictive kinggdom, especially in their efforts to block all but state monitored networks and VoIP/VoLTE apps.
But maybe I am just as paranoid as the UAE government is.. Thanks for your replies.
Feel free to buy it. It is global version as in Europe. No changes to firmware whatsoever.

Amen! I bought one from amazon.ae...No restrictions, it's a totally unlocked variant but the only difference is that you might be getting GM1913/ GM1910 rather than the Europe version...there won't be any difference in the hardware except for when you might get an update to the software...Since it's oneplus, you can easily install any global version of the Oxygen OS via the system updater rather than actually waiting for the update to be pushed to your phone...
Go ahead...save the 130Euro...

I want to buy the OPO but my throwback is the country I live in, Bangladesh. As you know, 16 countries are officially available to the supply of OPO and Bangladesh is not listed on it. Surprisingly one of the dealers in Bangladesh is selling OPO at a rate of $488.75 (US Dollar) for the Chinese Version.
So my query is that is there any difference between the Chinese version and the international version or are they both identical. And why is the Chinese version so widely available where as the International version is as bad as extinct?
Anyone Help? Thanks in advance xD

Thanks. Could you tell me if I'm going to be able to use LTE and 3g in USA or in countries in Europe? I'm a student and I'm going to change countries for better education in a year. So I need to know if LTE and 3G will work properly on major carriers in USA or in countries in Europe. Thanks for your help earlier though, really appreciate the time you taken to do the researches for my help. Thanks.
I was thinking about buying the oneplus and give my i9505 to my wife.
The official website doesn't ship to my country so I have 2 options:
1. Buy it from the official website and use another shipment company to my country. Including taxes the 64GB will cost around 500 dollar (which is still around 130 dollar cheaper than other flagship devices I can get..) .
2. A friend of mine is flying to china soon and he'll be in hong kong for a few hours. He can bring the Chinese version....
The Chinese version supports all frequencies in my country.
What would you recommended?
Btw, is there a difference between the Chinese and the American version regarding touchscreen issues or other...?
Touchscreen issues have been resolved in the XNPH38R OTA. Pick whatever is the cheapest.
If its the Chinese version, you'll need to flash CM11S (or any other custom ROM) as it'll ship with ColorOS out of the box.
Whichever is the chepeast. The Chinese model is pretty much the same in terms of hardware although the back cover does not have the same logo. You should be able to flash the OPO ROMs on the Chinese version.

I am planning on buying a OP7 from a third-party seller in Canada, but I don't like my phones opened out of its factory packaging. Some people told me if I buy from this third-party seller, they get them from China and just change it to Oxygen OS, which would not be good for 2 reasons, 1) Since I live in Canada the Chinese version wouldn't work (I'm with Telus) and 2) I don't like my phones tinkered with as I mentioned before.
So do you guys know if OnePlus Hong Kong sells Global phones or Chinese phones? And if they do sell global phones, the third-party sellers usually wouldn't mess with them right? They wouldn't have a reason to?
Thanks a lot!

That's because they have the same hardware! Software is the only difference.
Hello XDA people,
I am looking for a trusted source to get LE2113 (global/EU) variant of OnePlus 9, specifically looking for 12GB RAM 256GB storage size, that can ship to Canada or US (I live in Canada). All official OnePlus websites in Europe only can ship within Europe. AliExpress's official OnePlus store has a similar problem too when ordering the EU version. Anyone know or have bought this variant and got it shipped to Canada/US, and from where?
I tried this website: https://www.teknistore.com/en/64-bi...isplay-android-11-48mp-camera-warp-charg.html, but I got a feeling it is a scam from the reviews on the website in general.
Thanks.
You may want to check the radios on those to make sure that they're compatible with your provider. The EU version doesn't have the same radios as the North American version. The NA version actually has MORE radios.
Unless the extra RAM and storage are important to you, I'd just get the NA version an you can convert it to the EU ROMs.

The EU version has most of the network support in US/Canada (it supports all of the networks of the carrier I am using here in Canada - I am using Freedom Mobile). The reason I want the global/EU variant is because of the dual SIM support.
what country are you in?

I mentioned that in my previous answer. I live in Canada, and I am using Freedom Mobile. I checked Kimovil for the network bands support, and my carrier has 100% support (not all phones have that, especially band 13). In fact, this phone has green everywhere with good support, so I believe it will work great with most networks across US/Canada, hence why it is a global version.
Yeah... eBay.
They got one on there for $550 right now

Can you send me the link to the product in eBay? I want the LE2113 (EU/Global) version, not the LE2110 (CN) [with global ROM] version, or any other version?
It's the single sim TMobile version.
Why don't you want the Chinese one? That's what I got. I think it's the best one. And Ive had every OTA on this device. AA, BA and Da...

The problem is with the network support. Check Kimovil for the CN version vs Global version vs NA version vs IN version. NA version has the best network support overall and in North America. Global version falls slightly short, but I want that due to having dual SIM support, so I can tolerate a bit loss of network support over no dual SIM (if NA has eSIM at least, I'd get it, otherwise forget getting a single SIM phone). CN is super ****ty version because of the lack of many network bands support in global and in North America, as well as missing the wireless charging (wireless charging is not that important for me now). IN version is even ****tier in all of the things I mention before.
This is my reasoning to get a LE2113 (global version) instead of the other versions. I have a global version OnePlus 3, and back then the networks are fine since, for example, bands 4 and 7 were heavily used everywhere, but now they seem to be discontinued in many places, and I would need a phone with band 13 (long distance frequency) to get a signal in many areas (at my home, it is always in roaming now).
After reading up latest benchmark, it was pretty clear that snapdragon version was better then Exynos processor in quite a few areas, and wondered if its possible to buy a snapdragon version whilst in UK. If anyone managed to get one, how did you managed that? Thanks
Wonda Mobile seems to be the best place for us in the UK to purchase a Snapdragon version. I know of quite a few people that have gone down this route with no issues, but I think they are based in Hong Kong which could present some issues.
First of all there would be no incentives like Galaxy Buds etc
There would only be 12 months warranty instead of 24 months and in the event of a warranty claim the device would have to be shipped back at the owners expense.
Software updates would not be as frequent.

Ah right, thanks for that. that's a darn shame! Why, oh why did Samsung have 2 different processors in the first place baffles me!

Something to consider, check which CSC Wonda Mobile is selling. Of the 3 SM-G9080 variants the TGY is the best CSC. CHC is the worst option since China restricts numerous apps. If they don't sell it various Hong Kong retailers are stocking it.

As far as I know, Snapdragon 5G won't in the UK.
