I am trying to hide root from the Wizards Unite app. I used the Magisk Hide function, then I cleared data from the Play Store . From there I went into the Play Store settings to check the certification, except there is no reference to a certification at the bottom of the settings page. Is there a fix for this? Or is my Play Store just not certified?
I am rooted on T-Mobile 9.5.7 Stock OOS.
Might wanna ask this in the Magisk forum.
It doesn't say certified at all?

Nope. Last thing in the settings that I see is Play Store Version.
Also only says Playstore version... I have magisk hiding most Google apps.
Did you clear the cache for the play store?

Did a force stop, cleared cache, cleared storage. Still no reference to a certification in the settings.
On sidenote, does Certification matter really? Mine says 'not certified'.

Same, and haven't noticed any negative results because of it.

It matters if you want to use Google pay, which will not work without certification.
I have "device is not certified" as well. I use magisk hide for google play store as well.

So i searched for Hangouts on google like so.

I think clicked on Hangouts and it asked if i want to open it with Chrome or Play Store. If i click play store i get this
If i click open with chrome it goes to the hangouts play store page and when i click on install for devices i get this.
Why does it say my phone is not compatible?
My Nexus is rooted on the stock rom.
I was able to find the .apk online and install it just fine but i would like to be notified of updates in the play store.
If you're using a custom screen dpi instead of the default 480, you will get that incompatibility message about hangouts in the app store.

That must be it.
i used to have this problem when they released the voip update. changing the dpi back to normal, clearing data or any of the normal fixes didnt work.
Eventually it just showed back up by itself. So it might just be something on googles side

Works fine for me as well. Even without MagiskHide.
what issue are you having?
go to Settings > Apps and Notifications > See all apps > click the 3 dots top left and show system
try to force stop and clear data
Google Play
Google Play Services
Google Services Framework
reboot
works fine here
I added Google Play Services to hide and then added my card
Also, Works for me. I magisk hide most Google Play & Pay stuff.
Yep works perfectly no issues. Even Samsung pay works on my gear s3 frontier. I just hide anything Google and Google pay.
Works for me.
Ditto it works better with Magisk than when you only unlock the BL.
Works great here also. Use it everywhere I can.
How do you reset the learned data from adaptive brightness?

Thanks man, for your guide, but the app is not available for my device (GM1903). What model do you have?

I have the same. I pick up the img from a post directly . I didn't test it and i didn't see that we don't have this apps (i don't know why).
But I have the solution (I haven't tried it either XD) you can install the app to have that option.
Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.turbo&hl=en&gl=us
APKmirror: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...lth-services-1-6-0-224311829-release-release/

I think that you can uninstall the app later

Thanks again. Not sure it'll work if Device Health Services is not a system app. I don't think it'll have the right privileges. I'll try though.

It worked! Thanks for the fix!
I'm trying to keep from running Google Play Services at all, but it seems like Galaxy Wearable is one of the few apps that simply will not work (will not sync) without it.
However, I was going to try and segment anything that requires Google Play Services in a work profile, but I am getting an error when installing it. I've tried on 2 Samsung devices (S21 Ultra & Galaxy Fold 3), and I'm seeing the same thing.
Any suggestions?

Well it is WearOS so I would imagine it requires some type of play services

Probably have to put your galaxy wearable app in the work profile too would be my assumption

That's what this post/screenshot is about. The Galaxy Wearable app will not install in the work profile.

My bad, I thought you were trying to get Google play services to work in the work profile
I'm getting these nag screens from Google play protect all the time:

I used to get them maybe once e week or less frequently, but since recently I get them all the time, many times per day after I unlock the phone. It seems to correlate with the latest Samsung firmware update (April 2023), but I can't tell if it's a Samsung thing or a Google thing, I wouldn't put it past either of them because they are both identically horrible. I tried to disable notifications for Play store, but that doesn't get rid of the nag screen. Is there another system app responsible for the nag screen which I can disable the notifications for, or something I can do via ADB?
I disable Playstore. Try firewall blocking it otherwise. Try temporarily disabling Google play Services as Playwhore is a dependency of it.
Agreed, both Samsung and Gookill are a menace at this point. Both are voracious data miners.
Why don't you turn it on by accepting it?

I'll test if disabling play store gets rid of the nag screen - if it's actually the play store app causing it rather than some background service. Play services can't be disabled and lots of apps won't work without it (I don't have the nerve to de-google it and it's almost impossible with Samsung anyway).
Maybe it's just some special permission to throw the nag alert, which can be disable with SetEdit or something like that?
