The best way to play youtube in the background?

Hi, sorry if I created this thread not in the right place.
So, what's the best way to play youtube in the background? Already tried the trick with Lucky Patcher, right now I'm using Xposed module but after some listening youtube just crashes...
Lucky patcher custom patch works pretty good. I can't use Xposed since I have Nougat.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-youtube-music-sound-stream-youtubes-t3399722
OGYoutube (Mod of YouTube with background playback and downloading)
There are also other mods such as YouTube adaway with background playback
YMusic (streams only audio)
FlyTube (or any other floating YouTube player)
Using YouTube site in Firefox browser

Make sure to update both lucky patcher and the custom patches. It works very good for me.

OGYoutube isn't supported anymore.
Youtube AdAway doesn't have background playback or did you mean Youtube Background Playback mod, if yes than I already tried that.
YMusic doesn't support playlists right now.
FlyTube I only need audio, so...
Method with Firefox like for me is slow and uncomfortable.

What's the problem with it then? Are you patching the correct version?

Yes, I'm patching the correct version. The thing is, I just start playing a random music playlist and I listen to it while I do other stuff and like after some time, puff and it crashes. I think it might be something with RAM managment actually, on my OPO I have 3GB and still, like Facebook sometimes randomly crashes too, RR3 sometimes says it isn't enough memory to play it.

Let Facebook alone, it crashes to everyone they screwed up pretty bad. Try having a clean install of the ROM , it may help for randomly crashing apps.

YouTube ads play on the official YouTube app, despite YouTube AdAway

Hey there, whenever I watch any video on the youtube app, I always see some mod edit ads, at a point of time, I saw so many mod edit ads, and was way too pissed off, so I decided to block them once and for all!
I tried this, and it worked for some time.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-t2547316
Now, as usual, I am using a rooted phone and flashed xposed, installed youtube AdAway, and.....................................
Whenever I play a video on the official YouTube app.............
NOTHING'S mod edit HAPPENING, THOSE IRRELEVANT mod edit ADS PLAY (WHETHER THE VIDEOS ON THE OFFICIAL YOUTUBE APP PLAYS PROPERLY OR NOT) DESPITE THE YOUTUBE ADAWAY APP INSTALLED (WHICH CLAIMS TO BLOCK ADS)
PLEASE HELP.
Thanks
and sorry for the bad language, cos I'm a lot frustrated.
Every time you update the YouTube app ,you also have to reinstall YTadaway.
Actually, I noticed the same thing a few days ago, but I never updated YouTube or changed any of my settings for my rooted device. Not sure why the ads started appearing on their own without any software updates.
Sometimes certain modifications for applications only work for a specific update. Check if you have the same update version that supports Ad away.

I did it, I did as described on how to block YouTube ads, but still those horrible ads creep up, ads play whether the video plays or not.

Nowadays YouTube ads are annoying AF, I don't know why the YouTube Adaway app isn't blocking any ads

Youtube app

Figured this has been discussed many times, but could not find the details?
Was wondering if there was a way to get a youtube app installed on Webos that will play videos without ads? I know it may need to be rooted, so if thats needed thats ok. It seems like there is a way root now with 3.5 or lower.
I know with Android this is easy with or without root. So would like to do the same with LG SmartTV running WebOS.
you can probably add the urls for the ads to the hosts file which should stop them from loading

Can I do that not rooted?
URL blocking hasn't worked for well over a year with YouTube. PiHole and the like are ineffective.
You need a modified app that doesn't play ads, like you get for Android. I don't think one exists for LG WebOS.
Run youtube without ads on LG-TV
Have the Youtube app installed on the LG-TV (Useing this app direcly will always show adds on all youtube videos), if you have an android phone -Then google "YouTube Vanced" -its a modded adfree Android YouTube client, works on none rooted android phones. Run the app on your phone search for the Video then use icon to cast screen to the TV. Youtube app on TV will show the video without ads.
I guess you can do the same if you have iPhone and an youtube adfree app.

any update on this subject? unfortunately casting from Vanced is not a solution anymore, TV keeps showing ads which can be skipped after 5s of viewing. What is interesting - Vanced even displays a notification that TV is going to show the ad in a few secs
I just went to https://rootmy.tv from my LG TV web browser and it installed the homebrew channel, from that I was able to install the adfree youtube mod and disable my TV checking for new updates which might lose my root. It also includes SponsorBlock in the mod so it will skip annoying subscription reminders & in-video promotions.
Can you revert back if needed?
I have a 2019 model

Adblock in Web + Youtube possible with HD 10?

Hello,
I'm evaluating if a HD 10 could be my first tablet ever. I would mainly need it for research and youtube videos. Also my kids should use it.
My main concern is: could I get a web adblocker working on the HD? Is eg Adblock possible in the fire browser? Can I install "youtube vanced" for having a youtube version without ads (or anything else)?
Could I install apps limiting the usage for my kids, without having to license any monthly-subscription apps for it?
Thanks a lot
It's possible!

Yes, you can. I recommend DNS66 because it works without root and is not very battery intensive. You can download it from F-Droid, an alternate app store. Here's a good article about it.

Yeah, just sideload a Youtube Vanced and MicroG APK. That's it. You can find rootless versions here. Note: These versions cannot save watched videos, watch progress or search history (for me).

Yes, your tablets ships with Amazon Freetime. You have to create a kids profile then you can restrict how long and what apps your kids use, check their activities and get a restricted kids web browser as well.
My six-year-old Cousin has a Fire HD 8 Kids Edition setup with Freetime and it seems to work.

Version 14.21.54
Mine is working too... Did you disable chrome by any chance? Make sure it's enabled because it's webview is used to sign in with micro g from what I've gathered
I'm using version 14.21.54, but there is something strange when i set the display refresh to 90hz, if the video i'm watching is 60fps it will occasionally dropped to 30fps multiple times, so annoying. But when i set the display refresh to 60hz, it will become normal, no dropping fps whatsoever lmao. This is NOT happening in official Youtube app from Google Play, but the ads damn
