So,.. Ive been trying to root my phone for about 5-6 hours straight and i just can't do it without that stupid twrp thing... Im trying to get it but there it says on the website that it's not available for my device
My device is:
MODEL: SM-A705FN

CSC: A705FNOJM1ASE4

Can anyone please help me ? (I think i figured it out that i need to install IMG file with odin or something like that but i can't find the right one... or is it not the problem?, i dont know, im a complete beginner) Thank you advance!!!!

https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a7/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-3-1-galaxy-a7-2018-t3876798
Please follow carefully the guide, I flashed the ILO stock rom as well without a problem, When you flash with odin, Do not boot into OS because the revoked the root, Boot immediately into the TWRP and flash the RMM bypass zip

This is what you need:
1. ODIN at least version 3.07
2. Recovery, personally i recommend TWRP (google, and download the latest for EDGE)
3. The update Super SU files
Here is a good link for the guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/general/easy-steps-stock-odin-n915tuvu1anjl-sm-t2943993
you can just jump to step 5 (forget the rest).....and just go straight flashing the recovery. Basically after installing recovery you are ready to go......just boot to the recovery, and install the SuperSU files, and you are done.
PLEASE BE AWARE: make sure you download the stock firmware (ROM) for your phone, just in case if anything goes wrong. You can download and find one in sammobile site. ALSO remember by rooting, you are voiding your warranty, and agree to take your own risk.

SM-G920F firmware flash fail in odin - ANY SUCCESSFUL FLASHES?

Ok guys, Could be a simple answer. I currently have an S6 and it is unlocked and currently on German Vodafone. I have attempted to revert it to BTU firmware as I'm in the UK. I followed all the available guides to achieve this via odin but it failed almost immediately. It failed at Hidden.img I think? Anyway the phone then failed to start up and took me straight to an error screen telling me to connect it to smart switch. I then found out how to fix it and managed it so phone up and running again. Is it possible to flash the BTU firmware in the first place?
Thanks
Come on guys, surely there must have been someone out there with the same problem as me and has managed to overcome it?
The answer is:
extract the Firmware with winrar and extract the hidden.img separat to your Desktop. rename it to hidden.img.tar and Flash that again (AP), after that your phone should reboot. if not, go into recovery make a reset. Here is a link in german:
https://www.androidpit.de/forum/670145/samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-update-problem-hidden-img-fail
That's how I solved the problem with the phone going into error. I need to know if it is possible to flash the firmware BTU to my phone?

It's 100% possible but check first if the rar file is not corrupted.
I had problem with corrupted files failed in odin.
Ok, I completed yet another download of the firmware for BTU but once again the flash failed. I had to carry out flash with hidden.img.tar in order to restore phone. I don't understand why this is happening? Any ideas?

ur csc is bad, had the exact same thing a year ago,
just install twrp again
flash csc pack (if there are csc packs for snapdragon variant), flash any csc u want , i did it twice just to be sure
and after that go flash stock firmaware with same csc code
so if you install btu csc then flash the btu firmware with odin afterwards,
dont flash the home_csc .tar in odin just choose the normal csc thats in ur firmware folder
hopefully this works for you too mate

Factory resets and try to flash the rom again I don't think it's a baseband issue like exy.
Make sure what needs to be clicked in Odin from the instructions are clicked too
Still having problems
