SM-G920F firmware flash fail in odin - ANY SUCCESSFUL FLASHES? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok guys, Could be a simple answer. I currently have an S6 and it is unlocked and currently on German Vodafone. I have attempted to revert it to BTU firmware as I'm in the UK. I followed all the available guides to achieve this via odin but it failed almost immediately. It failed at Hidden.img I think? Anyway the phone then failed to start up and took me straight to an error screen telling me to connect it to smart switch. I then found out how to fix it and managed it so phone up and running again. Is it possible to flash the BTU firmware in the first place?
Thanks
Come on guys, surely there must have been someone out there with the same problem as me and has managed to overcome it?

The answer is:
extract the Firmware with winrar and extract the hidden.img separat to your Desktop. rename it to hidden.img.tar and Flash that again (AP), after that your phone should reboot. if not, go into recovery make a reset. Here is a link in german:
https://www.androidpit.de/forum/670145/samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-update-problem-hidden-img-fail

That's how I solved the problem with the phone going into error. I need to know if it is possible to flash the firmware BTU to my phone?

It's 100% possible but check first if the rar file is not corrupted.
I had problem with corrupted files failed in odin.

Ok, I completed yet another download of the firmware for BTU but once again the flash failed. I had to carry out flash with hidden.img.tar in order to restore phone. I don't understand why this is happening? Any ideas?

"debranding" the g920f with odin dont work

hello guys,
yesterday i bought a galaxy s6 (g920f). it got the 1&1 branding but its simlock free. i just read about, that i can use this fw G920FXXU1AOE3_G920FDBT1AODQ_G920FXXU1AOE3_HOME.tar (5.02), flash it with odin, after that a wipe and than update to 5.1.1 with smartswitch. than i got a complete debranded dbt firmware.
ok, thought it would be easy ;P - a ran in conflicts now. odin got errors on flashing. every time it failed flashing. i read about the "hidden.img". i should extract the firmwarefile with 7zip, delete the hidden.img and after that i have to make a new .tar (not tar.md5, cause i will get md5 errors in odin, already tested ) - still fail on flashing....
than i found a pit file, but i dont know how to handle that. i never done that and dont know, whats happening when im flashing it and i dont even know which i have to download.
here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/g920f-pit-file-banded-firmwares-t3118459
hope someone can help me.
best regards taker-`
//edit: meanwhile i triggert knox, so i tried to flash twpr and try to flash the dbt 5.1.1 firmware with the recovery....recoveryflashing also failed - why?
Are you using the official Samsung cable? Odin is very picky about usb cables. How many times did you try? I recently unrooted using Odin, and the first time it failed as well for no reason. I just reconnected the usb cable and tried again, then it worked.
i used the original cable, but i also tried a original cable from a galaxy s5 and s4. same error all the time.
i flashed my s5 with the same cable, same odin version...i want it on stock firmware, cause i sold it. that worked well, but with the s6, it dont work.
Flash this stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin to debrand your G920F.

stuck in bootloop after trying to return to stock

so i am on the latest firmware BOI1 and i decided to root my sprint s6 the other day to try and do a sim unlock. so i am trying now to return it to stock. i downloaded the correct firmware and used the latest odin3(i believe it is the latest) and the md5 check would do good but when i tried to flash the actual firmware it kept hanging on "setupConnection" and fails
Wiped cache and factory reset from recovery. It has hung at getting pit now the last couple times. I re downloaded the firmware directly from sammobile website this time
looking for the pit file. cant seem to find it. does anyone have a link for the 128 gig sprint version? getting desperate here. don't want to do something im gunna regret lol
i found a tutorial to extract it from your phone but without being able to boot up the phone i can not do this. is there a way to run adb commands on a phone stuck in boot loop? is there anyone who can link a valid g920p pit file?

Nand Write Start Fail.

Can i use the option nand erase all in odin? If not someone please provide me with a pit file for my S6 SM-G920W8. I cannot flash boot loaders and anything else besides twrp.
You need to have same or newer bootloader version for your phone. Thats all.

Galaxy S6 Flat SM-G920W8 Flashing Error. Nand Write Start, FAIL! I dont know what top do,
My question is if i can flash G920F's Modem and Bootloader on my G920W8?
And why does it not say nand write start fail when i am flashing twrp?
why are you trying to flash a g920f to g920w8???
You should use the same firmware for your phone to prevent issues.
Rrgarding with your last 2 posts, it is contradicting, you mentioned you cannot flash anything besides twrp, but you followed it that you failed in flashing twrp.
If you encountered with flashing firmware, I suggest to use a G920W8 firmware that is latest. I assume you are using an old firmware. Tell us your current and your firmware you are flashing.
Where did you get the twrp version? Are you sure it is not corrupt? A valid ODIN file? .md5 or .tar?
You need to give us more details in your issues.
Nand write start fail
I have solved using Odin3 v3.10.7 with firmware VZW-G920VVRU4BOK7-20151211140939 and Windows 7 for Galaxy S6 SM-G920V

HELP!! ERROR!! "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 2 > Binary 1"

Hey guys I need some help please. I am a bit of a noob and was trying to flash the PartCyborgRom using the BootLoopEdition firmware onto my originally G955U (which I had flashed with the G955U1 FW a while ago). And after I flashed the PartCyborgRom AP file through Odin, nothing happened as in the instructions, so I tried resetting the phone and continued to next step (not a good idea on my part) then I loaded the BL file and midway through that Odin gave me a "FAIL!" and the phone is stuck on Download Mode with the following error "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 2 > Binary 1".
I tried going back to stock and flashing all of the stock fw through Odin, but anytime I try to flash anything I get that same error. If I try to reboot the phone normally it tries to upgrade system but looks like nothing is on the phone anymore and is on bootloop. I am not sure what to do, did I **** up really bad and brick my phone?
I can't even get back into Recovery mode! It simply goes on a boot loop where it doesn't find anything in the system.
PS. when I tried to flash the PartCyborgRom my S8+ was on the latest G955U1 fw.

You are trying to flash old firmware. It sounds like you are already on firmware with the v2 bootloader and you're trying to flash firmware with rhe v1 bootloader. You need a stock firmware that has a 2 before the last four digits of the firmware name.
Firmware
It should be all well and good flashing stock firmware with the number 2, but I can't find any on XDA and any links outside either fail or try to make you pay because it's over 2GB... If anyone has a copy and space on their google drive, I'd be very grateful for a valid download link!

Try sammobile.com.
Free download of the latest firmwares but might be a little slow.

SOLVED: How to flash baseband/modem (modem.img) with Odin?

Before I get to my question, a quick background, which might help with explaining my question. So recently I switched to another cellular carrier on my unlocked S6 Edge (G925F) and now I would like to flash the baseband from the firmware corresponding to my new carrier in order to get better/proper connectivity. I downloaded and flashed the new carrier's firmware .tar.md5 using Odin, however, in the process of flashing, Odin threw a FAIL message when flashing the hidden.img file. So I had to manually extract and flash that file again, and it worked.
Anyway, it seems like, because of the aforementioned Odin FAIL message, the flashing process did not include the new modem.img file. So now I would like to manually flash that in order to get better service on my new carrier. So how do I do that? I tried flashing just the modem.img file with Odin by selecting it in the "CP" field, however, the flashing process gets stuck on "File analysis..." and nothing gets flashed. Am I doing something wrong? Can I flash that baseband some other way?
UPDATE, SOLVED:
I figured out the solution. I had to manually create a new .tar archive (with 7zip) containing just the modem.bin file. When I tried to flash that with Odin (by adding it under the "CP" field), it successfully went through.

May I please ask you, how did you get a firmware with a modem binary inside it? So far I've downloaded two different firmwares for this device, latest baseband versions, and none of them ships a modem.bin or anything similar. I'm totally puzzled.
