XDA app and XDA legacy not showing some private messages - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
Either I'm going mental or something's amiss..
Hopefully this is in the correct place to ask about such things..
I have the XDA app ( new one ) and have just installed the legacy one to confirm.
Communications between myself and several users are not logged within inbox or sent, the sent ones are really old and the inbox ones do not represent the actual timeline of received messages.
I thought it may have been the application itself but it's consistent via the legacy app too and mobile browser which means it's across the board..
Could the point of origin the message came from the problem? I tend to usually send via my phone unless I'm at home..
Anyone else experienced this?
Have to say I haven't searched for this issue in depth but thought I'd ask for awareness all the same..
Cheers.
PS: also ..... (Unrelated) it would be lovely to be able to copy some text via the new app instead of launching within a browser..

Regarding the XDA Labs App, the following thread is the Official one for Support and guidance.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3241866
Regarding the XDA Legacy app on the Play Store, it's Deprecated and is actually a Tapatalk App that was just placed under the XDA area but, they don't support it since they don't even have the source code for it.
Good Luck!

how do i make an android app to connect to my forum?

Hey guys i need some help. can someone tell me how to make an android app that connects users to my forum?
What do you want your app to do? Hyperlink your users to a forum on the web or have an integrated forum as part of your app?
Check out the "Droid Forums" app on the Android Market...great example of a forum app. See if that's what you want to do and copy it!

I would also be interested in this.
ie how did XDA get an XDA APP
how would I do the same thing for "another" forum ?
does it require integration with the forum itself?
IE zettaboards is there a way to make a forum app for a zettaboards forum?

While tapatalk does cost $999 for a custom app, your forum users could just use the generic tapatalk app if you have the free tapatalk files installed on your sever.

Sorry to post on a kind of old topic... but I'm interested on doing that! I want users can access the forum I manage, similar like Tapatalk, but in a free way.
How can I do it? Can I copy the files or something? I don't mind if I need to buy Tapatalk for doing a free app...
Thanks!
Sorry to bring an old thread, but i thought it would be better reviving this one than making a new one.

If it helps, my forum is on 'TapaTalk' and 'Forum Runner'
Well, I looked on Internet for that, I read a lot but with no luck at the end. I still don't know if it's possible in a easy and not so expensive way. My forum is also on Tapatalk and Forum Runner.

I found perfect site for creating apps...Yesterday I ended up on some site called apps-machine.com . I have to share it with you guys. I started creating my own app and after 15 minutes clicking on their control panel(no programming, just clicks) I made app in what user could make effects on their photos, paint photos, play music, play videos, have notepad, chat and stream music. They got literally 1000's of features on their control panel I think this could be a gold mine And I read something that they have free app development and so on. Aaand you can change everything all the backgrounds,colors,tabs...and you instantly see it on that same page through their simulator..don't know how they managed to do that but it is super handy...I am super excited at the moment..time to get some apps on apple and play store

This type of behavior is frowned upon here at XDA. Bumping your thread every few minutes/hours is not going to get the positive results that you expect. Some things take time around here. That's just the way it is. Exercise some patience
On a side note, we don't support or condone "cracking" as you refer to it in your OP. That would be another reason why you didn't get an answer.
I am closing this thread. This sort of behavior is neither mature norr is it tolerated on these forums. If someone decides they have an answer they can PM it to you.

Xda app...

Dear xda,
I'm not sure if this is in the correct area, so please move to appropriate forum as needed.
I'm here to ask about the apparent lack of support for the xda premium app. I bought this app to support you guys and what you do because I believe in what you do. However the app itself had not been updated for over 8 months? This is kind of ironic given xda is about android development, yet the mobile app is not what we would expect from this great community. The reviews on the play store only confirm that the app is in serious need of an update.
I'm not bashing the app or the supporters of said app. But I am concerned that after paying for this, to help with its development we as customers have been neglected.
Please can the xda team provide a response to this query.
Many thanks.
d4c
Does the app need updating? The money from the app is to support XDA as a whole, not just to pay for development of the app.
I bought the premium app and the premium HD app just to support XDA, even though I use tapatalk too access the forums when I'm mobile.
So if you did use the xda app for the purpose it was created for you would want it to work properly? Yeah I thought so...

How do I use my own Disqus profile on XDA?

Heyo!
Since XDA creates a profile for me for some reason, I don't get notifications on comments made on XDA when I'm on other sites. Any fix for this?
It doesn't matter if I'm logged in to Disqus before logging in to XDA, it still gets replaced by the wrong Disqus profile.
Thanks!

In browser? Or in an app? You won't get notifications from XDA unless someone posts in a certain forum or thread that you're subscribed to, or unless you have posted and someone replies to your post or gives you a mention using the mention system or sends you a PM. I don't think there is a notification for new topics on XDA or new posts in a forum/thread that are not specifically directed at you, only what you're already subscribed to and what you have participated in. You can view the XDA website in a browser then find the "control panel" in your XDA profile, it has settings for the notifications you receive from XDA. Also, I don't think Disqus has anything to do with how the XDA website does or doesn't work.

This has been brought up before. You can't do anything about it. It's because the mods here have the power to ban you there. They also say it is seperate from the forums but it's not. So be careful what you say there.

I didn't know that XDA and Disqus were associated on any level, much less, "a part of each other" as you suggest.

Discus is not. But what they allow are websites to have complete control over how discus works on their site. The part of each other is the portal team and xda forum team. They will tell you they are seperate but they are not. If you say something wrong on XDA discus then you could be banned from the forums.

XDA Labs

What happened to the apps that were on the xda Labs app store are they gone for good or can they still be obtained somewhere?
Yes, the old forum lab's app is gone. But, there's a new app for the new forum:

Still don't know where to get all the apps from the gone xda labs app?
Hi.
Does anyone have any information, where were the apps from "XDA labs"!?
Some have their own site! Like ymusic!
Does anyone knows we're the majority of them gone!?
Thanks for the attention...
