Cant open local .html in PIE

I cant open locally stored html files in PIE on my Touch Pro. They open as they should in opera, but when i try to open them in PIE its just a white screen and PIE "hangs". Does anyone know how to restore PIE to default?
I have tried adding the local urls as exceptions in the connection settings but it didnt help, i've also made pie the default viewer for html but that didnt help either. Just a blank page whatever i do.

Do your other apps have connection problems also like email and any other app that uses data? Sounds like you need to configure your phone for your carrier. Anyone out there have time to help?

I have the same problem but vice versa. I like IE and NOT Opera.

I had this same issue after installing Skyfire. I found the solution for restoring Opera to default here :

[TIP] Restore Opera Mobile as default browser
If you have tried Skyfire and are wishing you could restore Opera Mobile as the default browser, there is an easy way to do this.
1) Open Opera Mobile
2) Type opera:config into the address, this gives you access to tons of preferences
3) Expand the install bullet
4) Check Browser First Time Launch and press Save
5) Exit Opera
6) Restart Opera
The first time you restart it will take a while, and may even close without showing you the browser, but now open a link from e-mail or other source and it should use Opera to open.

Thank you much -- it worked for me as well. Don't know why, but Skyfire was awful on my Fuze -- slow, jerky, and wouldn't even render some pages?!?

Browser problem on 5.0.2Hr3_zh_signed

after i install this hayruko's version it seems that i'm having a problem with my browser. even when i change the uia string via about:debug to change it to desktop version after a while the browser goes back to mobile version are you guys having the same problem? i hate mobile browser version is there anyway to permanently change the uia string instead of keep changing it everytime i go to my browser?

Actually, if you configure it on googles site (search preferences) to use full html you will be fine. It is not an issue with the browser, but with google automatically dumming down the pages it lists in search results.
1) Go directly to google.com and select the settings link.
2) Truen off "Format web pages for your phone"
3) Save.
Hope this helps. If you clear cookies you will have to do this again.

did not help. there's gotta be some option to change user agent permanently...

Google Chrome Android not storing last bookmarks page on one device

Hi guys,
I started using Chrome some years back on my desktop system. There I have all my bookmarks arranged as folders inside my bookmarks bar.
So far so good. Now on Chrome Android these bookmarks show up as desktop bookmarks in a folder "bookmarks bar".
I have two Android devices:
Nexus 6 --> Everything is fine, I use my desktop bookmark bar and when I close and reopen Chrome it opens the last bookmark page I used - fine.
Sony Z3 Tablet Compact --> I use my desktop bookmark bar and when I close and reopen it ALWAYS opens some stupid list of all bookmarks, unsorted, one huge list. I always have to navigate manually back to desktop bookmark bar bookmarks, every time I restart the browser. This is really annoying.
Uninstalled Chrome, cleared data and cache, but all to no avail.
Anybody any idea on how to fix this? Must be sth do do with Sony's ROM as all the other phones and tablets I have and had do not have that problem.

Question Change Default Browser on GW4 and Edit Special Permissions

I Sideloaded Google Go (Searchlite) and Chrome Galaxy Watch 4. on Google Go, when it asked me which app I want to use to open a link, I chose Google Go at the time. However, Google Go is good for Searching but not browsing web pages since the search bar takes up half the screen.. is there any way to assign a new default browser for managing links on Galaxy Watch 4?
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Google Go but that didn't work. I know the device has special permissions and defaults that are not accessible from settings. What happens is that Google Go is opening links within CCT since Chrome is installed on watch. It's much slower and harder to see on Go.
Follow up question: Any way to manage settings on Google Chrome for GW4 externally? Launching settings menu causes app to crash on GW4. Thanks!
