Hi all,
I've read something about Enable/Disable in the android development forum. There are explanations how to deal with that issues by using adb or shell. To make it more convenient here is a simple straightforward app to do that.
What the app does:
Apps are listed.
Enable state shown
Stock apps are marked
Short click provides enabling or disabling.
Long Click gives some more information.
Precondition:
You have to be rooted (temporary is sufficient)
S-OFF not needed.
HTC SENSE updates automatically, some other launcher as AWD need restart to make the result visble.
Tested on two HTC phone types with Android 2.2 and 2.3 and with SENSE, AWD.
Screeshot and app are attached.
Best regards,

thanx mate
Today I've been playing with the new modes in lollipop and realised that priority is basically the old silent. With that in mind I went to set it up for during the night and for when at work. Problem is you can only choose one start and one end time so I'd have to pick either overnight or work rather than both. A first world problem I know but I've gotten used to automating my phone (cheers llama)
Does anyone know of a locale plugin that could switch between these settings for use with llama or tasker? This would make it far more flexible! A Google search found nothing
I know an app that you can use to do this. It' Atooma. But I'm not sure that it's working on Android lollipop. You can try it, it's free and you can find it on google play store.

Hi, it looks like Atooma is an app similar to both llama & tasker. I'm not after a new automation app but rather a plugin to toggle new settings found in lollipop that can be used with llama. Thanks for the response though.
I want it too!
WiseApp really easy and quick way to find the apps you need in unique way.

I have a crazy question. This is for a very unique use case (long story).
And here's the crazy part -- it needs to work for Android 4.2.2.
I'm trying to figure out how to uninstall apps programmatically without the user having to confirm each uninstall.
The idea is that the user would select from a list of apps they want to uninstall, then click a button when they're ready and all of those apps would uninstall without bothering the user with a confirmation dialog for each app.
Is this possible? I trying to do this in Xamarin, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Wondering why you try to reinvent the wheel, why not simply - for example - use this?
Easy Uninstaller App Uninstall - Apps on Google Play

Thanks,
It's a lot to explain. For one thing, the app needs other features.
It's for a unique use case since these are single-purpose devices.
While setting up the Samung4 smartwatch, I noticed Customization Service is installed and turned on in the Galaxy Wearable app for the watch. I don't remember if it was installed and turned on in my Note9 phone but since I set up the watch it is. Should I turn off the Customization Service or do I need it enabled for the watch apps to function and display properly?

Play with it and see what works best for you.
A lot of documentation may be missing or near impossible to find. It's nearly impossible to crash* a stock Android so... explore.
*3rd party apps excluded. The stock Sammy ones are likely safe though.
You do not need it for the watch to work. You can turn it off if you have concerns about privacy. It is a personal choice.
Thanks! I read it's a default setting on the watch to collect data. I just wasn't sure if it affected the apps if I disabled it.

You can also use Karma Firewall to block the app after it's installed and running. I do this with Wearables and the Good Lock family of apps on my Samsung. Karma uses almost no battery and is freeware.
