I have this problem where phone randomly shuts down. It was fine until phone also stopped booting and getting stuck into fastboot mode. After this happened i had to visit repair shop. It works for few days and suddenly it again crashes and get stuck in fastboot mode.
I tried flashing with msm tool. it worked but after i updated to 9.0.5 and restarted it didn't boot again. Now flashing with msm tool isn't working as well but earlier it did.
So my two questions are:
1. why my phones keep crashing and stops booting?
2. Why msm tool is not working again when earlier it did?

I tried to unlock the bootloader earlier today. The unlocking process was successful, but after I restarted the phone. It does the motorola boot animation and just goes to a blank screen. (First time, it said setup failed)
The phone also won't turn off =(
Is this a bricked issue? And is there a way to fix it?

Hi guys,
Hope someone can give me some light about diagnosing flash memo device hardware damage.
I have an OnePlus 6 A6003 that entered for sudden in CrashDump Mode. It stopped to run the OS, although the bootloader mode still worked.
Guided by some tutorials I tried to unlock trough fastboot and adb in CMD panel without success in unlocking the device.
After that, I started trying Msm Downloading tool to flash a Oxygen firmware and make it brand new. I couldn't.
The process stopped somehow in the middle of downloading to system_a. I lost hope big time here and went to SMT flashing. The tutorial advised that i could lose IMEI if i did not backed up my EFS. I didn't, but i figured i could use some downloaded backup and change my IMEI back to original, as I have the original box and data of the phone. I did it and the process of flashing the device stopped the same spot it did before.
From there I repeated the process in loop until finally I got it done. Once the original oxygen firmware was succefully flashed I was happy, till i discovered the phone still doesn't turn on. it always blurs the initial logo screen after some seconds and freezes.
At this point I think there is some hardware problem at the flashdrive device. Anyone have any idea if this still can be a software problem or can assure me how i could definitly diagnose it?
I 'd be thankful with any help.
hello,
Some time ago my phone started to lag spontaneously. I had to force boot it in order to get it back working. After few days it repeated, then again, then again. Last time force boot didn't work - got stuck at "samsung welcome screen" All i could do is to enter recovery and download mode. Tried to do everything in recovery didn't work. Tried to flash rom via odin, but after 20mins of flashing stuck at one point i aborted it (stupid af idea) Phone went into screen i enclosed. smart switch doesn't see phone at the same time pc detects it (sound when connecting) odin does too yet still can't flash official rom.
I've got an issue where I think my OP6 is done, but better to ask here. Using latest lineage os 19.1 with mcd R16 kernel.
Today morning I was using my Oneplus 6 as usual, but later on it freezes then qualcomm crashdump mode appears. Well, not a single hardware combo keys recover the phone and didn't force it to reboot normally.. So I decided to do MSM tool with 10.3.8 firmware. Well, it has completed the process without issues. Phone was booting but in the middle of the booting logo animation it just freezes, did it four times or so and then crashdump again. So I did the whole MSM tool process again, now when the process was done, it want to reboot, oneplus logo appears with the powered by android then crashdump again.
Does it mean my OP6 is completly dead (like motheboard issue etc.) or is there any way to recover it?
I've sent it to the service center then: :/
Repair for 313 €, rejected, they will send it back.
Device returned unrepaired, I will sell it on parts
You can buy a whole motherboard on aliexpress and replace yours
Hi,
My oneplus 6 appears to have either died or bricked itself during the night, I got the qualcomm crash dump mode screen on my device when I woke up this morning. My device isn't Rooted or flashed. I have since discovering this this morning I have been panic trying to sort out a solution I have tried MSM that gets to the download complete status. I remove the cable the device displays a splash screen and the screen stays black. Going into fast boot the bootloader and baseband are blank. Hoping someone would have a solution.
Thanks in advance.
I have the exact same issue, I've tried multiple MSM tools without any luck. Sometimes I can reach Fastboot mode, but most of the time it seems to be stuck in EDL mode. My phone was unrooted and stock.
Yep, happened for me too.. Still figuring out to fix this issue.
