Viki - No Ads Version 2.1.3

Hi Guys,
The new Viki forces ads in between the shows. Here's version 2.1.3 which has no ads. Just uninstall your current Viki app. Then erase the file .Viki located in your internal SD. Then install the attached apk here.

You have to allow installation of unknown sources in settings. You might also want to try to insert the apk in /data/data and set permissions to -rw -r -r.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. This works great, but since this is the older version how will it update for new shows? Like, if there's a new episode. Does it automatically add the new episode and subs from the newer version of Viki?

it was working seamlessly but today it stopped working suddenly...refuses to connect to the internet.
I had to update to the latest version to watch

no longer working here either. nothing shows up anymore. now getting a no connection error as well. perhaps they blocked it.

Hi, I was experiencing the same problem around a month ago and up to now it's still not working. I thought I was the only one, but apparently not. I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one but at the same time scared cuz that could mean something is wrong with the ver. (;_

Dear Hamidreza, as el_easy said we do not want to bypass commercial apps to use them for free or crack them etc...
We want to make a parallel way to download original free apps for some good reason's as I mentioned some of reasons on the 1st post

Thanks for your reply, It is likely the server side error, as I checked the host and everything is normal and we have a lot of bandwith and storage right now! some of our visitors that using a proxy or vpn or etc reported the same error, is it possible to tell me that you are using any proxy or etc??

[ROM] [CLOSED] Phoenix OS ROOTED/GAPPS (Android 6.0.1 With Windows)

I closed this thread because the rules are that if you didn't develop it you shouldn't post it. Since I didn't develop it and only added a few things, I decided to close the thread.
For those of you who like the windowing feature I am using Android 7 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/development/rom-saosp-n-t3473634 along with Taskbar from the Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.taskbar . Taskbar allows you to have fully functional windows for all your apps. I combine it with LMT Launcher from XDA to quickly launch other apps from any screen.

Thanks. I find that a launcher isn't a necessity with a desktop like Windows. Also LMT launcher gives me instant access to my most used apps.

I've sideloaded a number of apps but I agree that Play Store is necessary for full functionality.

Sounds good...BTW, every time I try to download the ROM, after about 20% the DL pauses...

Thank you for sharing your TWRP backup @lollyjay I have tested PhoenixOS now for a while. Of course it still has some bugs (especially the camera), but it looks very very nice and runs smoothly. Hopefully the next update features some fixes, improved translations, google services + apps and the possibility to fade out the taskbar.

Is there a workaround to install a different launcher? I think there's a solution but for x86 PC's only. I find the desktop not so much appropriate for nexus 7 flo because of its small size (7'' only).

Basiclly all aps for "mobile only" detected hdmi output. so if u want modedd an apk..you need to remove that code

When you open the app it closes right away and goes to the main screen, tested on a Nexus player on android 7 and a rooted nexus player on android 6

The same thing happens on a Mi Box Android TV 6.0.
I am currently using an older version on the MI Box, but using the latest version would be a nice option.

I thinks its not compatible on Android box leanback version. Im tested too on K2 Pro nonleanback Rom and its work fine..then after im modding my K2 Pro to Leanback rom the app is force close like u said. So far i can see its work only on non-leanback Android. Tested too on my AFTV2 and its force close too.

The older versions that work on the MI box and Fire TV do not block the HDMI output and do not require modifying. I am currently using version 3.2.1.028 that can be downloaded from APKmirror.
I thought the modified APK was to remove the HDMI output detection, but after reading the thread again, I could be misunderstanding what the modified APK is for.

Already test
XFINITY TV 3.2.1.028 old version and yes its works without any modification. Latest version NOT because its detected HDMI. The modded apk is the latest version and i already remove the HDMI detection..the force close issues is not because the HDMI...its compatibility issues..yes some box can use the apk and some box cannot and that means you can only using it on OLDER version...and just imagine 1 day if Xfinity upgraded the system at their server to filter recomended version and apk like happen to Xfinity TV Go before...there must be somthing to do with it...and before they take the action...we need to take action 1st.

Tested on stock 2015 Shield TV, force close....old apk works but no scrolling through channels with the d-pad and it also asks you to confirm to use cellular data every time you change channel. Hope someone can figure out a fix.

umm... did you test this....? is not working on Superman Rom 2.2 for s7 flat Int exynos... just fyi
i downloaded your file, installed it. reboot and no good. when i hit home button youtube does not keep playing. if you have some instructions you forgot maybe edit your post. or what is needed...?

My mistake! Find out i've upload the wrong apk, i'll update the link as fast possible.

Anyone know if you're able to login to YouTube? OGYoutube doesn't let me and I'm looking for a replacement. Possibly this one once you add ad blocking.

I did a big mistake, i replaced the build of my patched apk with original youtube last version apk where i was working on!
For now i take down the download link and i'll try to work on it again.

This is like the same when you are on ROOT and you use the patch from Lucky patcher on a Nougat device, or the same like using XPOSED module. You can login easily but you won't have any real-time update from Google Playstore. I'll try to update the apk as fast possible when i get a new official update.
