Hello in here! I've gotten a LG V10 H900 AT&T Variant phone that came with Lolipop. Seeking root, I successfully flashed a stock ROM coocked by sir @tungkick from XDA-Developers forum. It worked like a charm and I got root and used my phone smoothly for almost one year and plus without any problem. One day, it happened that I can't get internet although the SIM card is inside and well placed and internet data activated. It will just come by itself after and everything will work great. I then decided to fix it and decided to flash a Marshmallow stock ROM; what I did and everything starts!
1- I need to unlock the bootloader but I can't find any way for that. I'm wondering wether there is a 100% working method using a flashing box.
Whenether I tried fastboot method, the device will not be detected.
2- Is there a 100% working method to downgrade to lolipop? I think this will be the best thing for me to do to still feel my phone.
If yes, how to deal with it, please?
3- Up to today, which is the most stable version I can flash and get root apart from lolipop?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I had a LG G3 but it broke down. I got a Droid Ultra from a friend and i got surprised! First time I have a Motorola phone. I thought I was getting a crappy phone but It runs perfectly fine.
I want to root and install a custom recovery so that i could flash a Lollipop ROM. I've been reading some threads but I'm quite confused about what I should do first. I want to be able to run a Rooted Lollipop ROM on it. I've read some threads about rooting for the build SU6-7 but mine has SU6-7.2.
If any of you could please tell me what I should do first, I'd be more than grateful.
The phone is unrooted (checked with Root Checker).
Android version: 4.4.4 build SU6-7.2
System version 24.13.2.obake_verizon.Verizon.en.US

Okay, so here's the deal:
You can root (to some degree) using CrashXXL's method found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra/general/droid-mini-maxx-ultra-root-pogress-100-t3071609
or his other method found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra/general/crashx-t3220408
Keep in mind though that neither of these root methods disables write protection so you will not be able to flash a custom recovery or install a custom rom.
At the moment there is no full true root/bootloader unlock for the Droid Maxx/Ultra/Mini on 4.4.4 su6/su6-7.2

Your welcome. And sad to say but there is no way to get Lollipop on your phone with a locked bootloader.
Theres Too Many Roots for Tmobil and Boost and Metro now lets give some Time for Cricket
WE NEED SOMEONE TO MAKE A ROOT FOR LG stylo v5.1 LP CRICKET
PLEASE
:fingers-crossed:h
I got mine rooted, now we need someone to make a custom recovery & maybe a bootloader unlock also.
Lg stylo H634
I have the Lg stylo h634 through Cricket. After reading another thread I used Kingroot to root my phone. However I decided I wanted to removed the root so I can upgrade to Marshmallow. So I purchased Supersu to get rid of kIngroot. My phone is now stuck in bootloop. At this point I don't care what ROM I have, I just need my phone back. Any suggestions, help or even a "I'm screwed buy a new phone" statement would a least let me move on. I have been at this for about a week now.
Thank you

Bring it to where you got it and play dumb. Don't mention root or anything of the sort. As far as they're concerned you don't know jack about phones. Just tell them it froze and you had to pull the battery to reset it but now it wont turn on.
My Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo is also briked
I rooted my Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo (H634) with Kingroot then I used Super sume to covert to SuperSU instead of Kingroots after I used the Super sume app and updated binaries the phone restarted and and is stuck on the LG logo. Boost and Metro has flash files all over the web TOT and KDZ files we need flash files for the Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo if anyone can post them online thank you in advance.
Me 2 but i still had warrant after i rooted
I bricked my phone with supersu me but i still had warranty after i rooted with king root so i called it in and they gave me a new phone
I rooted my new lg stylo with king root and sticked with kingroot cause i dont want to
Brick my phone again ever since my phone worked perfectly fine if you ever get a new phone just stick with kingroot
Avoid apps that cause phone to Brick
Xposed installer
Super SU me
Dont use these apps unless theres a kdz available for your phone
I am rooted with New version 4.8 KingRoot. Have root checker Pro by joeykrim. No issues. First attempt with super su bricked. But phone was three days old. Duh my phone locked. New phone is rooted for good. Need custom recovery though.

Hello,
Are there any owners of the H955A variant? I haven't seen any roots/etc for it.
Unfortunatly, at first I got a regular intl H955 which had a problem with updating to 5.1.1. Since the phone was new, I returned it to the shop, didn't want to go through all the hassle, and got the H955A for some reason.
Anyway, since I wasn't into rooting the android in the last (at least) 2 years, I wanted to ask you guys what is the safest fool-proof method for rooting it? I've got 5.1.1, software version V15b-TWN-XX, and version number LMY47S if that means anything.
I've got some decent linux experience.
The fact that scares me is that there is no root method for H955A mentioned here, only for H955, so I'm scared to use any.
I'm hoping for some advice. Reason for rooting is mainly underclocking the cores and debloating it, trying to get a bit more than the current 3-3.5HRS of SOT, and messing with some apps.
Thank you and sorry for asking in this separate post but there isn't a H955A mentioned anywhere so I'd like to know if anyone got this or I'm pretty unlucky.
you can use the method for H955 it will work good i used it on my H955 after flashing H955A Kdz trying to solve an issue but rooting worked good with no issues
I'd like to try this, but I think I'll wait for a fool-proof procedure.
Don't want to kill my H955 V15b D:
Anyway, cheers to the braves who succeeded!
L0th, I actually own a H955A, not a H955
Anyway, thanks for answers. Though I'd like to know if it's possible to give me a link to a specific procedure for rooting it, since I've found a few ways to root a H955 here.
I didn't fully understand, yeyoo, you flashed a H955A kdz file and than you rooted it using a H955 file?
Yes i did and worked great

Well! Is it worth it?
it depends on why you need root for ?
I'd like to remove the LG UI and prolong the battery life.
If rooting can help with these two issues, then I'll try to do it.
Rooting will neither help improve battery life
Nor help change the UI ( you may install a launcher without root )
On the other hand ulocking the bootloader will help us do everything we want ( its currently not available for our device )
So basically I never wanted to update my phone but I accidentally pressed Install Now when I was trying to open the messaging app. Now I can't root it anymore or downgrade it. Worst mistake ever for my phone :crying:
So my phone found a new update, but I don't want to update it because I want to look for a updated ROOTED rom that is later than OG7. If anyone has a odin flashable / zip flashable, PLEASE message me. I have a friend that works with android roms, he said that its something to do with the bootloader and it has to be rewritten by hand to make it rootable because of verizons bootloader, and to unlock the bootloader. PingPongRoot doesn't work anymore after the 5.1.1 update. I really hate this update. it slowed my phone down a lot. **** you verizon :crying::crying::crying:
Anyways I need a rooted rom to flash on my phone to make my phone think its signed by Samsung or Verizon and it's a new update. Please help me root my phone. I really got nothing to root it now ;-;

Sorry, it doesn't exist for the Verizon Galaxy S6. The last rooted ROM was OE2.

Have you tried updating to Marshmallow? I'm on CleanROM 1.5 android 5.0.2 OE2, and have been curious of the new android version, but at the same time do not want to lose root. Let me know if Marshmallow is worth losing root. Only advantage I see to root at this point is not having all that damn bloatware I really hate and cannot remove without root. Thanks.

I rather not update it unless
1: A root method is available
2: A rooted rom for Marshmallow is available
Just saying. upgrading to 5.1.1 unintentially (mainly because i was directly going to the messaging app but accidentally pressed install now) made me loose my root access. That's why I'm seeing if there is a rooted rom for that rom or a root method for that room.

From what I understand, it seems verizon is never going to allow it. Just look at Note 4 from verizon, it came out in 2014 and still no sign there will ever be root available for that one either. I'm even considering moving to tmo since there is root on their devices. Good luck.

Still sticking in 5.1.1
maybe it might work in the future exploits
i got the phone from my friend and he told me the root was stuck on there and it couldnt be taken off. Is there anything i can do to show whats currently on it to see if theres a possible way to remove it? the phone keeps randomly restarting on me and not reconizing the sim when it comes back on. i cant afford a new phone right now and was just wondering if the root could be causing problems? thanks in advance!
Hi !
The safest way to have a working device is to use this thread [Guide] LG G3 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) KDZ & TOT Method With LGUP
Good luck !
