Hello everyone,
as I am about to unlock my bootloader there are few questions on my mind, I am currently on 12.0.7.0 QJGEUXM:
after unlocking the bootloader, should I flash TWRP asap and backup my persist partition?
As I understand, to pass SafetyNet I need to use this guide (I'm not planning on flashing another ROM yet) [GUIDE] How to Pass SafetyNet on Xiaomi.eu | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
does it automatically mean I will keep my L1 certification to watch Netflix in 1080p? Do Google Pay and Pokemon GO work with Magisk Hide?
Thanks for answers

I managed to fix it by flashing this MAGISK MODULE ❯ Universal SafetyNet Fix 1.1.0 | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
Not sure about xiaomi.eu passing without magisk, I am not using it

You had asked: "does it automatically mean I will keep my L1 certification to watch Netflix in 1080p? Do Google Pay and Pokemon GO work with Magisk Hide?"
So what are the answers? Did you keep L1 certification? Hires netflix and whatnot? Pokenmon GO?

Yes, I kept the L1 (did a backup of the partition to be safe), Netflix works and Pokemon Go works too with Magisk Hide.
So, my devices "stock firmware" supports VoLTE (android 6). Most of the ROMs that i have seen for my device (android 7.1 based) dosen't support VoLTE. After some digging in the internet, i found out that IMS is VoLTE and VoWIFI. So i copy-pasted the apks that have "IMS" in front of them ,from my stock firmware to custom rom, doubled-checked the permissions, and rebooted my phone. VoLTE didn't work. The secret code says "VoLTE Provisioned". Am i missing something? Or am i completely wrong about this thing? The manufacturer is samsung, if that helps in a way.
it is just that volte is not supported in stock android. if you are using lineage os 14.1 then volte will break.
thank fully if ril is working in your port rom then just register play service id from playstore to google android device certification. and thus ril and volte will start working.
Thanks for the reply!
So by ril, you mean libril, right?
So if i copy libril from my stock firnware to the custom rom, will it work?

I've been using MIUI 9 global beta for a while and 3 days back I successfully unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP and flashed LineageOS based on Android nougat. After flashing lineage os I was not able to use Jio Volte calls. I did flash...

i hope it will help.
Thanks! you helped alot!
But the post you have mentioned is for jio operator.
I will look more in this somewhere.
Thanks for helping again!
no, i mean if your phone is volte regard less of it has jio sim or not. the method works.
I'm starting to get frustrated with my K30 Pro Zoom. I'm honestly thinking of selling this thing and buying a Poco F3. It was fine for a year and then all of a sudden just a a week or twp ago it started failing the cts profile match safety net check. I can't use banking apps anymore nor I can download netflix. The phone is not even rooted it just has an open bootloader because the phone originally came in with a chinese rom. I don't wanna root the phone or install magisk. Will this thing ever get fixed?!

It is possible that it is the same with an F3.
I re-lock my bootloader and put a stock rom and it didn't change anything.
Bank apps work but no netflix et disney.

I highly doubt that an untouched stock phone can fail safety net. It's this stupid Xiaomi EU rom man.

No I meant Poco F3 is stock rom so it wouldn't fail Safety Net. It's this Xiaomi EU rom that's at fault.

I don't know about the F3 but for the F2, I'll repeat it with the bootloader locked and the V12.5.2.0.RJKMIXM rom, it doesn't work.
Even some Aosp ROMs which had the certified playstore without root have the same problem.
(I might try later with an android 10 stock rom).DONE
try with android 10 roms: Stock V12.0.4.0.QJKMIX and EU rom V11.0.19.0.QJKCNXM_v11-10=CTS FAIL
but netflix and Disney+ are on Playstore .

Yep. I flashed the latest stable Xiaomi EU build last night (12.5.2) still fails Safety Net.
I forgot how these android 10 rom are faster and smoother and easier in terms of aurorizations compared to the last builds. Also batterie life.
ok some options are missing but nothing important so for the moment I will stay on the XIAOMI EU rom V11.0.19.0.QJKCNXM.

Google Play updated today and I think it fixed the CTS Profile Match. I can see Netflix and my banking apps now on the Google Playstore.
{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
I honestly didn't do anything. Google updated the Playstore today and that fixed the issue for me. I can now access Netflix and my banking apps.
I'm on Xiaomi EU 12.5.5 stable
PlayStore is working normal on Miui Global or EEA rom, also with unlocked bootloader. I also debloated lot's of unnecessary stuff from rom, everything still working normal. Debloating doesn't require root only USB debugging in dev. settings.
It's the first time since i bought Oneplus 8T that i haven't installed custom rom + root day1. I have the phone since summer. I want to know if it's worth to install a custom rom or not, and why?
Also, can you install most custom roms without rooting?
I guess i need a unrooted phone cause i use many banking apps.
Last question. I don't see many posts at this thread. It's cause people nowadays don't playing with custom roms as they used to be, Oneplus 8T maybe it's an old phone, or people talking about custom rom to other places like telegram?
I remember the Oneplus 5/5T topic was full of posts.
1. Depends on what you want. If you don't care about oos cam.
2. Yes there are Custom Roms that support banking apps.
3. You can also use magisk if you want root and also use banking apps.
4. Yeah most discussion ls are on telegram.
What's oneplus 8t telegram?
Have been using my 8T with custom ROMs since pretty much day 1. I had the best experience with the official LineageOS 18.1 build. Works like a charm, doesn't come with any Google spyware and can of course be used without root. I recently switched to the new Android 12 crDroid, which looks pretty stable too. Again, no Google and nobody is forcing you to root there.
I installed the global rom on the cell phone, but banking apps and Google Pay don't work. How to do this without root or Magisk?
