Oxygen OS Beta Program? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I Was wondering if there was a beta channel/program for OP7 Pro . If so can someone shed some light on where to find the builds/ join.
Thanks

It's too soon for a beta program. Not even a month in market and took three or four software updates.

From the news today, it looks like the Hydrogen OS version has a beta already. I wouldn't expect an Oxygen OS beta until maybe next month.

Tried Hydrogen OS Beta 2nd version but its not stable enough..

I'm expecting them to start betas after Q is out.

Subsequently I have aded a sim card and service and now it shows update is currently being downloaded. How do I stop Kit Kat from being installed? If there is no way to abort the update will I be asked if I want to install once the update is finished? TIA.

Once the update is downloaded you'll be asked whether you want to install it. Unless you root your only options is to delay the installation by 24 hours.
If rooted you can freeze the ota app with titanium backup.

Tell Google that, not us.
it's annoying for the system to be asking everytime if i want to update, it even says i dont have enough space to update and keeps asking. I heard of stopping motorola ota will solve the problem, untill now it has.

I, like you, wanted to stop kitkat from updating over the air from ATT so I called them, they said there was nothing they could do, but to call Samsung. I called Samsung, they said there was nothing they could do, call Google.
Well, I didnt call Google, but I did find a work around, and that consists of clearing the android cache, and now I am not being nagged to update on a wifi connection by ATT. Actually, I am not being nagged at all at this point.
Here are the instructions for clearing the Android Cache: (as told by a Samsung Employee)
Zabrina: Please follow these steps:
Zabrina: 1.Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
Zabrina: 2.Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
Zabrina: 3.When the first boot screen displays; release only the Power key.
Zabrina: 4.When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
Zabrina: 5.Navigate with the Volume keys to the wipe cache and press the Power key to select.
I hope this helps you

Modding xiaomi's patchrom to build Miui lollipop

Hi, im looking forward to build MIUI for my device S3 Neo.
Our device has Los 13 and 14 but CM12.1 is more stable than both. I downloaded patchrom repo and it looks very simplistic
So if i download Redmi 2's MIUI 8/9 update which is based on lollipop and replace all Apps, Frameworks, init, build.prop additions, media, fonts etc. of MIUI Patchrom with MIUI Lollipop ones, will i build something ok or itll end up in misery of total 100% rejects. Thanks

You need to have the same android base for it to work. Ex: Miui 8 you need an Marshmallow ROM
Miui 7 you need a KitKat ROM
You'll understand when you have to fix rejects and realize that some lines are missing and other lines are impossible to edit. I've done this before using a Cm12.1 to port Miui8

What i mean isnt putting CM12.1 to build MIUI but i mean replacing MIUI 8 Patchrom framework and stuff with the ones of a MIUI firmware based on android 5.1.1 and let it build that MIUI framewoek instead...

Lineage 14 or 15 with the P905 tag. There might be a few small problems but they don't have any big issues according to their posts

Android Q test build

Has anyone tried the Android Q test build? https://tweakguy.com/first-android-q-10-0-rom-for-oneplus-6-oneplus-6t/
Android Q isn't out yet so it's fake or worse

Oneplus hasnt even got a stable pie rom yet never mind android Q ?
It's fake. It's just a GSI synced with AOSP master, all public sources.
Also, lol, that blog post straight up plagiarized my article.

These are still so early test builds. I would not touch it..
It makes sense only when the first Developer previews for OnePlus are published...

Do you actually understand the terms "Stable", it means it is officially released and there is no bugs. That's what Stable means and CURRENTLY THERE'S NO STABLE Qavailable yet. GSI shouldn't be considered as Stable, it's just a image released for developers.
It's not NONSENSE and please utilize your words wisely.

my pie rom is extremely stable, zero glitches since day one, proper use and proper troubleshooting are key.
and no, i'm on extremely tweaked device, nowhere close to simple stock and still no issues. best stock rom ever seen since QTEK 2010 in the year 2004 with windows phone LOL,
saying this after over 5'000 rom installs on 16 devcies.
first time i stick to stock OS + root + EX-Kernel and a few nice tweaks and a few great apps that make the difference like tasker and the likes

choose update package problem

After enabling choose update package (tap 8 times on the miui logo in the update screen)
When I tap on it it gives me 2 choices whatsapp and google drive
When tapping whatsapp it says the file format isn't supported
Is this normal?
I didn't try drive tho
Update: solution: I had previously (debloated) deleted the mi file app
After reinstalling it automatically opens and let's me choose the package
well , you cant unless you factory reset your phone if you debloated without the root method
and Xiaomi has pulled out the android 11 update for global because of too many bugs so, even after a factory reset, you cant flash it unless you wait for another update for global

Sorry, no option on MiAccount
But I've been searching and found that in deed miui is recruiting beta testers, but unfortunately (or not) poco F2 Pro aka K30 Pro is not on the devices listed for beta testing.
