It's fake. It's just a GSI synced with AOSP master, all public sources.
Also, lol, that blog post straight up plagiarized my article.

Do you actually understand the terms "Stable", it means it is officially released and there is no bugs. That's what Stable means and CURRENTLY THERE'S NO STABLE Qavailable yet. GSI shouldn't be considered as Stable, it's just a image released for developers.
It's not NONSENSE and please utilize your words wisely.

my pie rom is extremely stable, zero glitches since day one, proper use and proper troubleshooting are key.
and no, i'm on extremely tweaked device, nowhere close to simple stock and still no issues. best stock rom ever seen since QTEK 2010 in the year 2004 with windows phone LOL,
saying this after over 5'000 rom installs on 16 devcies.
first time i stick to stock OS + root + EX-Kernel and a few nice tweaks and a few great apps that make the difference like tasker and the likes

I dont mean to hate, but it seems like there are no devs for mi 4i on xda. There has not been a single custom rom or even an AOSP ROM for our device. Can any experienced dev tell me what is going on? Are you waiting for xiaomi to release kernel sources? Any comment is appreciated.

I guess it's due the fact that the phone was launched in India first the phone is to reach others yet. So the development will once start when the phone is launched and bought gobaly. I have made a dev promise to work on kernel once the source is released

Great News ! paranoid android ream brought us a marshmallow Rom. There's nothing I want more than installing it. I searched for videos and on google for information about it but didn't find more than I already know. So if you have it installed or will install it pls share your experience with us ! My phone is fully stock, so it's a hard decision. I also get 4 hours of sot normally. 5 hours were possible, so will aospa get me it back ? What are the system tweaks. Is there another kernel ? Or is it just stock android with oos features removed and PA features added ? The batterylife is the biggest point for me

I am planning to install a custom rom as a daily driver for my Mi Mix 2S. Are there active developed Android 9 ROMS with frequent Updates for improvement, no pre-installed GAPPS (so microG Support), working GPS and support for good quality Camera?
Which Custom Roms are mostly being currently used on the Mi Mix 2S which are known for stability and working features? And which Custom Rom Project can you recommend to me?
Pixel Experience is the one I went with, I think most of them are based off of similar sources though so they're all going to have the same issues/non issues. But I haven't found anything wrong with Pixel Experience, perfectly stable on my end
I am a happy LineageOS user. It most likely will become official soon (for what it's worth). You can install a Google cam and a MIUI camera mod on most roms, so I wouldn't be too worried about the camera. Hence it mostly depends on the customization you prefer. I believe pixel experience comes with Gapps, LOS doesn't.
I am a happy Pixel Experience user. I am glad you created this thread as I was interested to find out which roms are the most stable.
In general, are the custom roms as stable as MIUI?
I'm quite happy with MIUI, but I'm missing the Google dialer (design, caller recognition, SIM link to contacts, visual voicemail etc)

I have used the Pixel Experience ROM and MIUI Europe ROM. PE is very stable and in my opinion a much better ROM for myself personally. This PE ROM has the Google dialer that looks exactly like the pixel dialer (not the same design as the one in lineageOS and has the spam and caller id feature if that's what you mean as well as visual voicemail.
To be clear the xiaomi.eu MIUI ROMs are the best version of MIUI. Better than global I find them more feature rich as they are basically the China ROM with all Chinese apps pulled.
Personally I would flash both pixel experience and lineageos. Run through the OS and see what one fits your needs better. They are very very similar lineage has a couple more customization features which are nice but PE has a very nice UI all the apps match very nice messenger and dialer apps etc. The notifications are much better on AOSP ROMs vs MIUI as well.
Big big Pixel Experience Fan here!!

you can try to use miuipolska.pl, in Poland were using them - without ads, tweaked, region India only for Face recognizing and for themes. anything else is for your localization.
Is there any way to flash both of them (two custom roms at the same time) and switch between on boot like dual boot ??

Yes, you need root. Magisk is fine.
You can use Titanium or Migrate.
I only have used Migrate and is very good. It is so easy to change roms and transfer your data, at least until dual boot works on our phone (I hope it would be soon)
Does MIUI EU-rom also have that stupid restriction that you can only add Xiaomi devices as trusted bluetooth device (for unlocking screen for example)?
Recommend my compiled du, which I will always update (though never officially).

Yes, that one. I use only migrate, but i havent used it titanium so i couldnt really give your a list of pros.
But i like migrate because i can back up apps with their data and it creates a zip.
Then when i flash a new rom, i can flash the .zip using TWRP and then when booting the rom a helper will guide you with the restoration of the backup.
For me its excellent as i dont have to log in or set any settings/permissions again on apps. I dont know why but only Twitter always i have to log in again, beside this all other apps are good.
Please,
I would like to know if custom ROM is already being worked on.
Thank you

Xiaomi eu. There is a post on this rom in the thread ?
Okay, but I meant AOSP, RR, Lineage, etc.
It seems like there's a bug in the K30 pro source code that is hard for the developers to fix. Currently there's a Mokee rom on Cookapk but the camera is broken and its very unstable for a daily driver use. Probably GSI AOSP for now?

Well, it often takes time until developers are able to create something functional. The global version is just starting to be sold. I am still waiting for mine (though I went for the slightly higher specs version and that will only get available in around 2 weeks or so).
Anyway, despite me knowing there could be a lot of problems getting a custom ROM working (I would not dare to even try that) I really hope there will be some. Fingers crossed Poco F2 pro will be interesting for quite a few developers .

Hello,
Is there development in progress in costum roms?
I did find a kernel: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/lmi-q-oss
And also a device tree: https://github.com/MiCode/kernel_devicetree/tree/lmi-q-oss
Hope Lineage os is coming soon! Very sad that there is such litle development. Poco F1 was a really good phone for custom roms. I think the problem is that there where no free phones for developers Hope wtih android 11 coming that will may change.
Yeah, this phone's specs look amazing, the only thing that keeps me from getting it right now is MIUI.

May be there's is some bugs but how many developers have k30 pro? That is the question!
