I have bought LG G5 4-5 days ago, it's on oreo 8.0 h83030c.
I factory reset it and played PUBG on HD and high frame rate and it ran without any lag or spikes. I played again and now its lagging like hell and it's unplayble even on smooth. Its worse than my HTC m9.
I have also enabled force GPU rendering and disable hw overlays in developer settings.
What should I do?

Hi, i have LG G Flex 2 H955.. Software version is 15c EUR, i have issue with playing Asphalt 8 or Need For Speed No Limits, games run really laggy and they are unplayable. I searched over the Internet i saw some gaming videos where those games worked perfectly, do you have some suggestions for me how to improve my gaming experience?
Hey,
just go into your power settings and disable game optimizer (it limits the cpu/gpu to save power).^^

You can also use probainas custom thermal settings if rooted
I got the same issue with my LG G FLEX 2 (H955). Done as adviced still nothing. Game runs just fine for 5-10s of race adn starts lagging after. I even got thermal config file from other thread (probaina) to increase throttle temps, it doesnt work for my device i guess.
^ deactivate Adjust screen tone , and u will not have any problem then , no more lag in NFS and other games.

It gets warmer - ca. 40C, but didn't noticed any lag caused by it, so no overheating for me.
No overheating, seems the snapdragon 820 has solved the heat problem of the 810. Till now never experienced a temperature higher than 40-43°C. And no lags.
Mine lags specially if I set video to 4k. And also if im doing multi tasking.

My phone only gets little warm near RGBC/laser but thats it. G3 was almost all the time hot/red hot near/under power button. When i tried to snap some test photos and about 3 mins of 1080p video and 5-8min 4K it got warmer but nothing more, after shutting camrea apk down i got a warning that the device is hot and camera wont be avaliable for a while. When charging it gets warm but that is normal. There is no lag or stutter, maybe when you played some graphically advanced games NOVA,RR3, simcity when you power down after unlocking ther is a half second lag before a animation/start screen kicks in and thats all, interface runs preety smoothly
sony xz is so ****. it lags like a mother ****er and over heats. cant send 4 snaps with out it having a fit. Then once it starts i cant record a snap it just jips and zips about. i dont understand y its doing this. its a brand new 500 quid phone.. it shouldnt be doing this 3 months into buying this ****
Is anyone having choppy gameplay on the OnePlus 6 while playing Pubg?
I have kept the settings on default, HD and high frame rate
What graphic setting are you guys using ?
I use an iPhone X for my job and Pubg is smoother on it even at higher setting
If any one has any suggestions to improve performance I would really appreciate it
Performance is best on OP6 but there's some heating.

I did , I think it all does is disable network connections for other apps while playing
Going smooth here.. Mid graphics +max frame rate..
On hdr+max fps - it's just as good but, I wanted to conserve some battery..
Some website did a review, it's hitting 30fps 99% of the time
Waiting for update with 60fps support .. Don't know about iPhone
Edit - review is from xda ?
Pubg runs perfect on HDR+Ultra fps, although I prefer playing at smooth graphics+extreme fps (60fps). Buttery smooth gameplay, although for every 30 minute game played, the phone loses 15% battery
Just tried the game after reading this thread. Goodness this game runs smooth on highest settings possible. played a few matches this morning. Not one hiccup.
Previous experience with note 8, Nexus 6p, essential phone and mate 9. Better than all. We
Yeah just tried it for the first time too. Runs great, came in top 3 with around 10 kills first try, think I might retire and leave my PUBG career on a high
I haven't had any issues and I put mine on Max at full screen mode. Plays really well.

Ping on op6
Hi,
I have played ping on op6 over 10-15 30 min sections.. under different conditions like HD, ultra fps to smooth with ultra fps.. no performance issues... Heating is nominal just like any other phone.. not significantly alarming or something....
Only once I got choppy frame rate and that too for a couple of seconds.
Everything else is fine..
Btw I use 8gb ram model.

Hello there,
My N9860 was a beast when it comes gaming.. recently, I noticed it drops frames more frequent for instance, pubg used to run on extreme graphics at steady 60 fps .. now it fluctuates alot reaching down to 56 fps... Asphalt 9 does the same, may be even worse with dropped frames up to 52 fps! I made a hard reset but it is the same! I am not sure if that happened after the latest update ending with ATI3. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Are you using the gamelauncher function of Samsung to play the games? As it has the options to keep everything maxed out. Only other thing is if you have things running in background that could be taking up gaming resources.

why you thing that is has to "max out everything". first of all it must prevent from overheating disable all these games servises and you will that ot will become much more smoother. ( on exynos especialy)
Hello everyone.
I bought Xperia 5 III about 3 days ago. While playing PUBG Mobile or other games, the device reduces the refresh rate to 60hz even though it hardly gets hot. Is there a setting we can do to prevent this? For example, when you delete the software called Battery & Performance on MIUI devices, such problems did not occur.
I don't really play games but I noticed the overall UI seems smoother with high refresh rate off. Scrolling long feeds even YouTube is stuttering.once it's on 60hz everything is smooth. Can't explain it.

I recently upgraded my 5 II to a 5 III and although I still don't wanna believe it, it's getting pretty obvious that the phone throttles the FPS from 120 to 60 Hz. The Xperia 5 II only did this sometimes when you were charging and gaming simulatenously.
However with the 5 III it sometimes tends to throttle just when you are surfing through the net or using some apps. During gaming without charging it also throttles often.

That's the second time I read about 60 Hz feeling smoother but for me it's just so much worse.

This could be an issue that will be fixed soon. Other than that, one of the best things to do if you're a gamer like me is to get a very good cooler.

Actually, this is a case of eye habit. If you used a device or monitor with a refresh rate above 60Hz before, when you use 60Hz again after a long time, it seems like it lags etc. But since you haven't used a panel above 60Hz so far, 60Hz seems very different to you.

It's because the 5mk3's Snapdragon 888 generates far more heat than the 5mk2's Snapdragon 865.
