Can't connext to wifi networks on Android KK Roms - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For whatever reason, I can't connect to any wifi networks on my S5 while it running a KK rom (yes I know it's old.) Cellular data still works as expected but the wifi always gets stuck at "Turning on...". Not sure if it's related but it seems the back button and the recents button also don't seem to work on KK roms. Any ideas?

[Q] Stock JB Non Root Relay Wifi issues

Ive been having major issues with my wifi on a stock non rooted JB stock firmware Relay.
Wifi was working fine for the longest time. Recently my wpa2 home network wont connect. I keep seeing "wifi authentication error" every time I try to connect. I did a cache wipe, and when I do, it works for a day or so and then goes back to the same issue
Now Im having problems getting any data from wifi, wether its an open network or WPA. It just shows that its connected, the little arrows on the signal meter light up but no data actually gets transferred.
I did a battery pull and it seemed to fix it temporarily, but seems like the issue comes back
Any help??

38R Wi-fi connection issue

Ever since my phone got the XNPH38R update I've been having an issue with wi-fi
If I connect to wifi it works fine but as soon as I lose the wifi signal it can't seem to reconnect to the same wifi without rebooting the phone. Its especially annoying when I walk to get the mail or come home from anywhere.
I've tried manually connecting to the wifi after being disconnected in the android wifi settings menu but it doesn't connect until I reboot my phone.
I'm running the 64GB oneplus one on t-mobile in the usa.
Any suggestions?

I've had this issue on CM, except it'd work when I manually connected back to the wifi - I believe it's an issue when the phone goes to sleep it's failing to resume wifi connections.
The only thing I could suggest is try downgrading back down, or doing a clean re-install, and reporting this issue on CM's jira, so they can fix it.

I'm on OMNI now, so I can't really help you out, but do try unticking that 'wifi optimization' option, or perhaps using a tasker profile to turn off and on wifi whenever the screen display turns off and on respectively (at the trade off of loosing connection, so you won't be able to download stuff while the phone's off).
i have the same problem..

AT&T Samsung S3 Galaxy

WiFi authentication issues
I'm having issues when connecting to my work WiFi, My device can see the WiFi name and it shows as "saved,secured". When I go to connect it shows "Connecting" for seemingly minutes then reverts back to "saved.secured"
The phones WiFi works perfectly fine on many other WiFi networks, just specifically my works WiFi
As far as troubleshooting
-My first thought was Password/credentials-related so I checked that and everything is good on my side
-I have done a bunch of googling and apparently its a known issue with this latest update or something to that means?
-People suggested going to the phone app dialing *#0011# to disable the wifi psm(power save mode) which i did and for a day this worked,then the next day at work it didn't.
Checked the wifi psm was still disabled and it was/is
-In the means of troubleshooting I even re-enabled/disabled WiFi PSM which did not help
-I disconnected from the WiFi network/forgot the settings and reconnected
-Ive rebooted the phone
Now given the fact that I can connect to every other wifi network with ease I really do not want to factory reset
Any Ideas

[Q] Lollipop wifi tethering issue

Hey guys. I did a search and I mostly found T-Mobile users getting blocked from tethering.
However, I'm on Telus in Canada so I don't think I'm facing the same type of block since tethering worked on KitKat.
All that happens when I try to enable tethering is that it says "Turning hotspot on.. " for a second and then it shuts off and says "Error". I am then no longer able to even toggle tethering until I reboot the phone.
I am on Cataclysm, stock radio, and stock kernel.
Thanks

Samsung S6 WiFI Stuck at "Turning On"

I am trying to connect my phone to wifi and its stuck at turning on. My Bluetooth and GPS are working fine. I am also able to see MAC address for my wifi and Bluetooth. But my wifi is not working. I have tired Flashing stock ROM, custom ROM, Performing hard reset etc. None of them worked. I am wondering there might be some data corruption or some file missing that is causing this problem. Similar to this "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHGQn0Av2hI" where his moto g is having the same problem.
My S6 is currently running Android 7.0 Stock ROM
See the Attached screenshots
Please Help..... Its WIFI
Hello - currently having this issue on my S6 right now.
Updated from 6.0.1 to Stock 7 using Odin and Samfirm
Then a combination of custom roms and stock flash, also didn't work.
Upon trying to access FSM (service mode) I don't see any of the wifi power save options that most people report that fix it.
Any idea? There are a few of us in the internet with this but never a solution
There's a good chance that this information is useless, but I got this on another Samsung device, after writing 0 to /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill1/state.
WiFi stuck on turning on;
WiFi and BT MAC addresses are OK;
GPS and BT are OK (tested);
WiFi Direct is clickable after using the back button but does nothing;
After a few attempts it gives up.
After writing 1 the WiFi started working again(tested). But it didn't stop working by itself, it stopped working because I wrote 0.
Logcat's attached.
